  • Git SSH RSA keys

    I thought I set up my key pairs correctly -- I can do git pulls. I can do git commits. But when I do a git push, it counts objects, decompresses, then says: fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly. What's the issue here? I'm a super user, so it's not folder writable / readable access problems -- it must be the way I set up the encryption key pair... how do I debug this ... since git pull works?

  • How to deal with redirect traffic in widows2003

    I have set up an OpenVPN server on Windows 2003, and I want to route all client traffic through the VPN, so that my clients can connect to the Internet through the VPN server. In the server configuration, I added push "redirect-gateway def1". I know the server needs to be configured to deal with the traffic somehow: for example, on Linux, I can use iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 10.8.0.0/24 -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE. The problem is, I don't know how to deal with the traffic on Windows Server 2003. Is there any way to accomplish this?

  • need help from some professional how to redirect old or invalid url

    I recently upgraded a site and almost all URLs have changed. I have redirected all of them (or so I hope) but it may be possible that some of them have slipped by me. Is there a way to somehow catch all invalid URLs and send the user to a certain page and somehow know what URL the person came from so I could log this, and fix those? I'm thinking I could use .htaccess somehow but am not sure how.     hi everyone, whats the best way to configure openvpn clients to go selectively go about using an openvpn connection? i want to setup a vpn server for friends in china, but i dont want them to use it for everything, just so they can access sites like youtube, facebook, cnn, etc. while they are in china through the vpn (these are blocked). it would be nice if the vpn was a backup, so for instance if they are trying to go to facebook (which is blocked), it would go through the vpn connection once finding that the normal connection does not work. this would save a lot of bandwidth cost actually, and give them a better browsing experience. is this a iptable route thing? or a dns server that i push to my clients?

    I'd like to know if there is a way (a software, a keyboard combination, etc...) to switch between DVI and VGA screen on the same monitor. I've two PCs connected to the same monitor, far away (80cm) from me. To push the monitor button is not so easy and comfortable as could seems, moreover if you have to do it almost 20 times a day. It should be able to accommodate mass users (client) so that it serve rendered image per client request. User-HTML-Server-(perhaps renderfarm)-Result display.   • Large OSX 10.6 to Windows 7 smb transfers fail?

    I'm connecting to a windows 7 box from a OSX 10.6 box via smb: smb://ftp1 Connection works fine, I can transfer individual files one at a time, but as soon as I try and move an entier folder I get the following error: The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “test” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36) This error happens on all our OSX boxes when trying to push the entier folder to the Win7 box. The folder TEST in the above error message has -R 777 permissions. I can move every image file to the windows box one by one with no errors. But if I try an move the entier folder. bam error out. This error seems to kill the smb client on the Windows box as well. There's an FTP server on the windows box and I can FTP in from the OSX box and move everything just fine. Not sure what is going on here?

  • Exchange 2010: Import a PST when Local Move Request fails

    So the trail of tears continues with my SBS 2003 to 2011 migration: all the mailboxes have moved mailbox store from OLDSERVER to NEWSERVER, with the Local Move Requests completing successfully, except for one. I've logged into their machine and have exported their mailbox as a PST. I'm about to import it, but it seems to me that because the mailbox is still on OLDSERVER, even with a new Outlook profile pointing to NEWSERVER in Outlook, it'll push the mail into the current mailbox store on the old server. Please tell me I don't have to blow away her existing mailbox, logon, etc. on the old SBSERVER: is there a way to change the state from "Legacy" to "User Mailbox" without actually moving the mailbox store? Create a new mailbox for her user in NEWSERVER?

To avoid silent push back from IT, we want to make sure we don't add extra complexity to their job if the client (our client internal to the company is not IT) wants to adopt our SaaS. One way to avoid headaches is to add support for LDAP in our SaaS (a bit of work, but nothing major) ahead of time and make sure to mention that to IT. I really know nothing about SAP. Does SAP use an internal or external LDAP server usually? Updated question: A Company relies on an Asset management product from SAP. If I wanted to provide a SaaS that shares space in their workflow, is it advisable to use the SAP product authentication service (if it exists), and if so, do they provide an API?

    So lets say you've failed at preventing a drive failure, and also, you've failed to make a backup of said drive. Push has come to shove and now you need a way to recover you're precious data. Has anybody out there run into this situation? And if so could you please provide any suggestions on how to recover the data based on your experiences?   • Computer won't start when connecting SATA HDD

    I just bough a new HDD some time ago and recently i bought another SATA cable to have both HDDs connected at the same time, to transfer all the files from the older one to the newer. When i connected both of them, the computer started working, i tapped F2 to go to bios to make sure it was detected, and then after 5-10 seconds the computer instantly shut down. After this incident, my computer won't start at all when connecting the SATA power supply to the old HDD. If i connect only my new drive, it works without any problem. If i connect only my old drive, or both the old drive and the new one, and then push on the power button, the cpu fan simply rotates about 5 degrees and then stops.. and that's it, the computer doesn't start, and no sound from the pc speaker either. Is there any way to recover my files from the old HDD and transfer them to my new one? I do not want to use the old HDD any more, i only need to save all my files.
