  • Save information from MS crash reporter?

    On Windows XP when a process crashes, we get a dialog box with a link: "To view technical information about the error report, click here." The "click here" link brings up a whole lot of information in a window, but no obvious way to save it to a file. Is there a way? It would be very nice to be able to send that data to several different external vendors we're working with. The only other option I see in the dialog box is to send it to Microsoft, but this crash is likely not Microsoft's fault and there is no reason to send it to them.

    the results of my Magento based website's categories includes "items 1 - 9 of X" before the actual description of the category. How can I get rid of this? In this snapshot, what I want to delete is the red rectangle edits: @Su, these are the reason: Having text like (Items 1 - 9 of 144 –) appear in a Google listing uses up the 25 word limit that Google allows us. More importantly, the first few words of the description can persuade or dissuade someone from visiting my site.   • How to add visible menu item from php code (drupal)

    I have a content type with important "created" date field. And I have a menu link (in primary links) which is link to page that shows list of all nodes of my content type. (http://example.com/mycontenttype) I want to have menu links (visible in primary links) to each year when nodes of my content type are displayed (http://example.com/mycontenttype/2010). And I want to add these menu links from mymodule_nodeapi function, when the node is creating and only if it has a "created" date of new year. I know that I can create a pathes in mymodule_menu function, but it doesn't create a visible menu item. (Maybe I can somehow set parent_link_id or something else to do it?)

    I'm trying to link the Boost Serialization Library to my Code. And i want to extract "DESIRED IMAGE LINK" inside the "" tag, currently i'm using this: $pattern = '<div class="cont">.*?src=["\']?([^"\']?.*?(png|jpg|jpeg|gif))["\']?/i'; if (preg_match($pattern, $content, $image)) ..... But it doesn't work, the error is: warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Unknown modifier '.' How can i fix it? Thanks

    I have /path/to/my/theme/static/css/frontend.css which is called by base.html <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{{ STATIC_URL }}css/frontend.css" media="all" /> In which I've got a background for the header: #header-wrapper min-width: 960px; height: 150px; background: transparent url(img/header-bg.png) repeat-x center bottom; } The file is /path/to/my/theme/static/img I've run manage.py collectstatic to gather the files and almost everything looks correct except the link generated looks like: http://example.com/static/css/img/header-bg.png In which the image does not show, because the correct URL is: http://example.com/static/img/header-bg.png Where am I going wrong??

  • In java web application, where should i store users photos?

    Hello, this questions may be stupid, but i dont really see how to resolve it : lest say that in my application, i have a user. This user edit his profile, and need to edit his avatar. Where should i store the avatar file? first of all i was saving all the files in src\main\webapp\resources , but each time i redeploy that folder empties. so i dedide to place in an other location : c:\wwwdir\resources, but i can't link local resources from remote pages, so i was not able to display any avatar . any idea? advise? link?

  • Problem with Firefox, javascript, and Canvas

    I'm having a Firefox-specific issue with a script I wrote to create 3d layouts. The correct behavior is that the script pulls the background-color from an element and then uses that color to draw on the canvas. When a user mouses over a link and the background-color changes to the :hover rule, the color being drawn changes on the canvas changes as well. When the user mouses out, the color should revert back to non-hover color. This works as expected in Webkit browsers and Opera, but Firefox chokes on it if mouseout is triggered and no mouseover event follows it.   • Locking a detail view if a user is editing the item...

    Hi All I am developing a user manager which must control access to the detail view of editable items. At present, when a user clicks 'edit', the application queries the link table to check if a user is currently editing that page, if not, it allows access to the page and then inserts a record into the link table preventing another user from editing the same page at the same time. My question is what would the best way to handle the removal of records if say a user exists the browser without saving etc, therefore no action to remove the record. I have a couple of ideas but would like other input before I decide. BenTheDesigner

    I have a simple GAE app that includes a login/logout link. This app is running on the dev server at the moment. The base page handler gets the current user, and creates a login/logout url appropriately. However, it seems to have no effect - the server still seems to think the user is logged out. What am I doing wrong here?

  • cakephp links not relative

    In my layout, I have a menu that I've included as an element, and it contains a link like so.. <? $html->link('New Part Number','/part_numbers/add'); ?> The problem that I have is that cake isn't redirecting correctly and it ends up sending me to "http://localhost/part_numbers/add" instead of "http://localhost/my_client_folder/client_app/part_numbers/add" (I'm building this locally). My cakephp app is stored a few directories below my webroot folder, but I thought cakephp would autodetect how to build the linking no matter where the application was located, right? So do i need to configure the application root folder, or create a route or something? Thanks!

  • Whats the best way of using MVC + ajax (jquery) to load page content, aspx or ascx or both

    I want to have a menu that when I click replaces the content of a "main" div with content from a mvc view. This works just fine if I use a .aspx page, but any master.page content is then doubled (like the and any css/js). If I do the same but uses a .ascx user control the content is loaded without the extras, but if any browser loads the menu item directly (ie search bot's or someone with JS disabled), the page is displayed without the master.page content. The best solution I've found so far is to create the content as a .ascx page, then have a .aspx page load this if it's called directly from the menu link, while the ajax javascript would modify the link to use only the .ascx. This leads to a lot duplication though, as every user control needs it's own .aspx page. I was wondering if there is any better way of doing this? Could for example the master.page hide everything that's not from the .aspx page if it was called with parameter ?ajax=true?

  • Paginator (Migration from Cake 1.3 to 2.0

    i am struggling with the paginator in cakephp 2.0. While i am trying to migrate my application to 2.0 i cant find any solution to jump directly to the last page. In 1.3 it was quiet to do that from outside like this: echo $this->Html->link(__('Flights'), array('controller' => 'flights', 'action' => 'index','page' => 'last')); but this little trick putting 'page:last' in does not work anymore in 2.0. Of course there is a Paginator function called last, but this would only help if i would be already inside the app. My Problem is to access from an outside link directly the last page of the paginator.
