  • Swapping UIImages causing 'unrecognized selector sent to instance' ?

    Error: [__NSCFDate drawAtPoint:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0xd251e0 Termininating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException' Scenario: for the most part this works. But I notice this error, even on the simulator, when I swapping UIImages, slowly, but consistently. For example, I have a retained reference to a UIImage that im drawing. By the click of a picker control I am changing the face image (this occurs in another view-controller). I can consistently recreate this error by continuously changing the faces. It usually crashes at about the 4th swap or more. My theory: It's not loading the image, therefore the image reference is nil. I know ive read a bit about UIImage being cached, so I wouldnt think im running out of memory. Any ideas? Thanks!

It provides a abstract handler function like following: public string owsHandler(string request, string path, string param, OSHttpRequest httpRequest, OSHttpResponse httpResponse) And I wrote following code to handle image files: Bitmap queryImg = new Bitmap(path); System.IO.MemoryStream stream = new System.IO.MemoryStream(); queryImg.Save(stream, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp); queryImg.Dispose(); byte[] byteImage = stream.ToArray(); stream.Dispose(); return Convert.ToBase64String(byteImage); And I test it in the browser, the image is returned but the image dimension info is missed. Shall I add something more to the code? Or is any general way to server static files? I do not want to serve it in a ASP.net server. Thanks

    I'm using Eclipse to write php and naturally I get color coding like all IDEs do. How do I get the same effect in a blog? See this example (scroll down to see the code colors), he has full colors, green, red, blue, pretty acceptable I'd say http://www.tellinya.com/read/2007/06/15/20.html Is there something that's standalone PHP that can achieve this, or do I need a plugin and install a CMS? I'd prefer standalone I guess if possible.

    My app's main view has a uiwebview. It is white for a split second before it has time to render the HTML the app generates. Is there a way to make the uiwebview black, or another color, before it renders? The flash of white isn't part of my plan for a smooth visual transition. Objective-C or MonoTouch answers are fine, I am bi-lingual.

For each of these objects (rows) I would like to change the color of the text displayed depending on the results of a function I run on each object; So for example all the object in the table that exist in another list (or some other requirement) I want to display them in green text, and objects that don't exist display in red.   • Scrollbar still is painted after it should be removed

    I have the following custom control and can place on a form (with AutoScroll set to true and the control anchored left, top and right). If the form is too short for the control, the form correctly resizes the control (to make room for the scroll) and displays the scroll bar. When the control is closed using the close glyph, the control is resized and the scroll bar is removed, but occasionally the scroll bar appears to remain painted. If the form is minimized or moved off-screen, the leftover paint is removed. I've tried Parent.Invalidate and have toyed with it in many ways but to no avail. Any suggestions?   • OpenGL extensions available on different Android devices

    I'm in the process of writing an OpenGL ES powered framework for my next Android game(s). Currently I'm supporting three different techniques of drawing sprites: the basic way: using vertex arrays (slow) using vertex-buffer-objects (VBOs) (faster) using the draw_texture extension (fastest, but only for basic sprites, i.e. no transforming) Vertex arrays are supported in OpenGL ES 1.0 and thus in every Android-device. I'm guessing most (if not all) of the current devices also support VBOs and draw_texture. Instead of guessing, I'd like to know the extensions supported by different devices. If majority of devices support VBOs, I could simplify my code and focus only on VBOs + draw_texture. It'd be helpful to know what different devices support, so if you have an Android-device, do report the extensions list please. :) String extensions = gl.glGetString(GL10.GL_EXTENSIONS); I've got a HTC Hero, so I can share those extensions next.

I'm aware of the security issues that arise - my plan is to use this approach to do live website usability testing (A/B style).   • How does ImageView just redraw part of its content when invalidate(Rect) is called?

    Hi, guys I am new to Android development, just reading docs and trying the APIs. I am quit confused how ImageView managed to draw just a part of its content after an invalidate(Rect) invocation. I've checked ImageView.java, found no other drawing method except onDraw(Canvas), but onDraw(Canvas) only cut the drawable only if it is beyound the view's visible boundary. I also read the implementation of View.invalidate(Rect), I think the key of this function is calling to mParent.invalidateChild(this, r); However, I think the parent view doesn't know how to draw the child in the given Rect, it finally has to call some method of it child to paint out. Has anybody investigated this part of codes? Would you please give me some guide?

    Hello ,guys, My app needs to get the camera data from Iphone. In my ImagePickerController, there is overlayView drawing realtime indications. I use UIGetScreenImage() to get the screenshot, and I also dump overlayview to image, then I can restore the original Image based on these two images. if the overlayView is still, it works quite well, but if the overlayView keeps changing, UIGetScreenImage() can not keep up with it. For example,if the overlayView changes from a rectangle to a circle, then calling UIGetScreenImage() returns with a rectangle on top of it. Is there a way to get the realtime camera data? I really appreciate if someone could help.
