  • How to output LogCat to Console?

    Is there a way to make LogCat's output to appear in Console view in Eclipse? LogCat view is much less convenient that Console, because it's hard to see long messages in it (they are trimmed by column border) and there are no clickable highlighting in exception stack traces to quickly navigate to source of error.

[Serializable] [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlRoot("Titles")] public partial class Titles : Collectable<Title> { } The problem is when I call the method, it expects "Collectable" to be the XmlRoot, but the XmlRoot is "Titles" (all of object Title). I have several classes that are collected in .xml files like this, but it seems pointless to rewrite the basic methods for loading each up when the generic accessors do it - but how can I enforce the proper root name for each file without hard coding methods for each one? The [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlRoot] seems to be ignored. When called like this... var titles = Repository.List<Models.Title>(); I get the exception <Titlesxmlns=''> was not expected.   • Adding Parsekit To An Xcode Project

    I am trying to add the Parsekit framework to my OSX Xcode project. I've never added a 3rd party framework before and I can't get it to work right. I dragged the included Xcode project into my 'Groups & Files' pane and chose to Add it to my project. I then dragged Parsekit.framework underneath the Link Binary With Libraries heading. Then I double-clicked my target app and added Parsekit as a Direct Dependency. I also added libicucore.dylib as a Linked Library (as it says to do this on their site). Finally, in the Build settings tab of my target info I set the Header Search Paths to /Users/path/to/include/directory and the Other Linker Flags to -ObjC -all_load. Running this as a debug build work fine with no errors. However, when I build my app to release and then try to run the executable created, the app fails to load with the following error message: MyApp cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure myApp works with this version of Mac OS X.   • Resizing an image using mouse dragging (C#)

    Hi all. I'm having some trouble resizing an image just by dragging the mouse. I found an average resize method and now am trying to modify it to use the mouse instead of given values. The way I'm doing it makes sense to me but maybe you guys can give me some better ideas. I'm basically using the distance between the current location of the mouse and the previous location of the mouse as the scaling factor. If the distance between the current mouse location and the center of of the image is less than the distance between previous mouse location and the center of the image then the image gets smaller, and vice-versa.     I am trying here to do a manual translation for the application I am working with. (There is already a working LocalizationModule but it's working dodgy, so I can't use <asp:Localize /> tags. Normally with ResourceManager you are supposed to be using it as Namespace.Folder.Resourcename (in an application). Currently I am translating an existing asp.net "website" (not web application so no namespace here....). The resources are located into a folder name "Locales/resources" which contains "fr-ca.resx" and "en-us.resx".   • Can I enable/disable breaking on Exceptions programatically?

    I want to be able to break on Exceptions when debugging... like in Visual Studio 2008's Menu Debug/Exception Dialog, except my program has many valid exceptions before I get to the bit I wish to debug. So instead of manually enabling and disabling it using the dialog every time is it possible to do it automatically with a #pragma or some other method so it only happens in a specific piece of code?

  • New hard drive for backup? [closed]

    I have come to realize that I need another external drive to use with my MacBook Pro. I currently have a 1TB WD MyBook Essential that I have been using for about a year and a half. I have it currently partitioned into two drives, one for backup (I named it Leonov) and one for movies, TV shows and other large files I don't need very often (I call that side Discovery One). I use Time Machine for backups since it is completely automated and I can restore from it without much trouble (I have had to at least three times now). As of now, Leonov is full enough that every backup deletes an old one and Discovery One is approaching it's limits. I would like to get a new drive and move one of the sides to it. What are some reliable, external (~1TB) drives for under or around $100? Would it be easier to move the movies (et al.) or the backups to the new drive? I also feel like I should say that all of my important documents (for school and the like, just not my music) are also synced to Dropbox as another form of backup and access.

I have a problem with running a WS, it looks like my Spring context can't find file persistence.xml Which i am able to believe because i did not have generated META-INF folder in my template (which is Maven project template with archetype org.springframework.ws) I have created META-INF manually.     I am trying to delete a directory stored on a Windows 2008 R2 server, mounted on a Mac as network home (10.8.5). The directory was created by Safari and stores temporary internet files. I need to be able to delete this folder on logout from a Mac bash script.     I used to think that using SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress, I can reuse a port that is in TIME_WAIT state. But I tried to experiment with it and it seems it has no effect. If I check sockets using netstat, and it shows the socket is in TIME_WAIT state and I immediately run the client again, I get the exception: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted 172.16.16.16:12345 I cannot make anything out of it. Please can you elaborate what SocketOptionName.ReuseAddress is good for?

With an if statement like this: if (MyObject.MyArray.Count == 0 || MyObject.MyArray[0].SomeValue == 0) { //.... } Is it guaranteed that evaluation will stop after the "MyArray.Count" portion, provided that portion is true? Otherwise I'll get a null exception in the second part.
