  • Self logging modules without Moose

    I have the same question as was asked here but unfortunately I cannot install Moose and I think the solution described there was particular to Moose. Can someone tell me how to the same in old school "use base" speak? To reiterate the question, I would like to have my base classes to have an automatic logging mechanism so if the user does not do anything I get some reasonable logging but if the user of my class needs/wants to overwrite it they can.

    Can anyone tell me how to get remote Sqlserver instances using c# and SMO or any api? I have a remote server name "RemoteMC", which has 2 instances of sql server: "RemoteMc" and "RemoteMC\sqlexpress" I try to get the instances in code like this: Server srv=new Server("RemoteMC"); DataTable dt=SmoApplication.EnumAvailableSqlServer(true); But it returns "Host\sqlexpress" I don't know what went wrong. How can I get the result back as: RemoteMC RemoteMC\sqlexpress; ?

  • Sharepoint item locking after getting approved

    I have a sharepoint custom list which has 5 columns ..the user should fill in first three columns and the other two should be locked for filling ..when the user enters the items and start the workflow if the workflow gets approved the 3 columns should be locked for editing and then the other two should be available for editing .     I'm trying to make a scheduled task, and its just not working for me. This is the command I type in CMD: schtasks /create /sc minute /mo 1 /tn test /tr calc.exe /st 19:17:00 /sd 12/14/2009 I'm trying to tell the computer to run calculator every minute starting at 7:09 PM. Although I get a success message after I type this in and hit enter, nothing happens at 7:09. What gives? Thanks in advance.

"address 0x500 is the last one used by the BIOS" - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_boot_record "00000000-000003FF Real Mode IVT (Interrupt Vector Table)" - wiki.osdev.org/Memory_Map_%28x86%29 So can you tell me why NASM places my .com file's stack pointer to 0x3FF while my instruction pointer starts at 0x7c00? To me the most intuitive place for SP would be right below 0x7c00. Thanks.

  • Can a custom WPF control implement the IsDefault property

    I have a custom button control that does not derive from Button. Is it possible for me to implement the equivalent of IsDefault so that the command associated with my control will be invoked. I was hoping that this was an attached property that I could add to any control but as far as I can tell it doesn't seem to be. Am I out of luck if my control does not derive from Button or is there at least a reasonable workaround?

Now I'm at the deployment stage and find myself utterly confused--especially because I'm deploying from a windows machine. I bought the pragmatic book on deployment and it seems a little out of date since they're recommending subversion instead of Git. What would be the easiest deployment method these days for someone doomed to use windows? Are there any good up-to-date tutorials on deployment from Windows?

  • C# - Getting a RawFraction Performance Counter to show a persistant value

    I've created a performance counter that shows a fraction of an incremeted value (RawFraction type) over a base value (RawBase). Unfortunately, when monitoring this value, it only shows the percentage when one of the counters is incremented. At all other times it it is sampled, it shows 0. Is there some way to tell the counter to hold onto the last value until the next time it needs to recalculate the fraction?
