  • Django throws 404 at generic views

    - by x0rg
    I'm trying to get the generic views for a date-based archive working in django. I defined the urls as described in a tutorial, but django returns a 404 error whenever I want to access an url with a variable (such as month or year) in it. It don't even produces a TemplateDoesNotExist-execption. Normal urls without variables work fine. Here's my urlconf: from django.conf.urls.defaults import * from zurichlive.zhl.models import Event info_dict = { 'queryset': Event.objects.all(), 'date_field': 'date', 'allow_future': 'True', } urlpatterns += patterns('django.views.generic.date_based', (r'events/(?P<year>d{4})/(?P<month>[a-z]{3})/(?P<day>w{1,2})/(?P<slug>[-w]+)/$', 'object_detail', dict(info_dict, slug_field='slug',template_name='archive/detail.html')), (r'^events/(?P<year>d{4})/(?P<month>[a-z]{3})/(?P<day>w{1,2})/(?P<slug>[-w]+)/$', 'object_detail', dict(info_dict, template_name='archive/list.html')), (r'^events/(?P<year>d{4})/(?P<month>[a-z]{3})/(?P<day>w{1,2})/$','archive_day',dict(info_dict,template_name='archive/list.html')), (r'^events/(?P<year>d{4})/(?P<month>[a-z]{3})/$','archive_month', dict(info_dict, template_name='archive/list.html')), (r'^events/(?P<year>)/$','archive_year', dict(info_dict, template_name='archive/list.html')), (r'^events/$','archive_index', dict(info_dict, template_name='archive/list.html')), ) When I access /events/2010/may/12/this-is-a-slug I should get to the detail.html template, but instead I get a 404. What am I doing wrong?

  • [android] setting wallpaper through code

    - by Javadid
hi Friends, I was trying to make an app which also had the facility to let user select wallpaper he would like to set. I have managed this by calling the Gallery Intent. Once the user selects a specific image, the data path of the image is returned to me which then i preview to the user by setting the image onto an imageview. The problem crops up when the image size (and/or resolution) is greater than what android expects. This results in failure of my module. And as if this was not enough, wen the user tries to select some other wallpaper(and in my test case the "other" wallpaper was also of size 700kb) then the app crashes with the "OutOfMemoryException"... Helppp me here guys!!! For Gallery Intent i use: Intent intent = new Intent(); intent.setType("image/*"); intent.setAction(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT); startActivityForResult(Intent.createChooser(intent, "Select Picture"),SELECT_IMAGE); For setting the wallpaper i use: InputStream is = getContentResolver().openInputStream(Uri.parse(uri_returned_from_intent)); Bitmap bgImage = BitmapFactory.decodeStream(is);//OutOfMemory error thrown here setWallpaper(bgImage); So i have 2 problems to deal with: How to crop the image before setting it as wallpaper... Cant understand y OutOfMemoryException is thrown, coz none of my image sizes exceed even 1mb... and i guess the VM budget in case Of N1 is 24Mb if m not mistaken...

  • Issue selenium code maintenance

    - by Rajasankar
I want to group the common methods in one file and use it. For example, login to a page using selenium may be used in multiple times. Define that in class A and call it in class B. However, it throws null pointer exception. class A has public void test_Login() throws Exception { try{ selenium.setTimeout("60000"); selenium.open("http://localhost"); selenium.windowFocus(); selenium.windowMaximize(); selenium.windowFocus(); selenium.type("userName", "admin"); selenium.type("password", "admin"); Result=selenium.isElementPresent("//input[@type='image']"); selenium.click("//input[@type='image']"); selenium.waitForPageToLoad(Timeout); } catch(Exception ex) { System.out.println(ex); ex.printStackTrace(); } } with all other java syntax in class B public void test_kk() throws Exception { try { a.test_Login(); } catch(Exception ex) { System.out.println(ex); ex.printStackTrace(); } } with all syntax. When I execute class B, I got this error, java.lang.NullPointerException at A.test_Login(A.java:32) at B.test_kk(savefile.java:58) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at junit.framework.TestCase.runTest(TestCase.java:168) at junit.framework.TestCase.runBare(TestCase.java:134) at com.thoughtworks.selenium.SeleneseTestCase.runBare(SeleneseTestCase.j ava:212) at junit.framework.TestResult$1.protect(TestResult.java:110) at junit.framework.TestResult.runProtected(TestResult.java:128) at junit.framework.TestResult.run(TestResult.java:113) at junit.framework.TestCase.run(TestCase.java:124) at junit.framework.TestSuite.runTest(TestSuite.java:232) at junit.framework.TestSuite.run(TestSuite.java:227) at junit.textui.TestRunner.doRun(TestRunner.java:116) at junit.textui.TestRunner.doRun(TestRunner.java:109) at junit.textui.TestRunner.run(TestRunner.java:77) at B.main(B.java:77) I hope someone must have tried this before. I may miss something here.

  • jQuery code not executed

Hello, I would like to rephrase my previous question which no one could answer. My problem is that a jQuery-script does not execute a command though it "runs" it. I can see it in the debug mode where the debugger hits the command. Nonetheless, the command is not executed.

  • Bad Design? Constructor of composition uses `this`

    - by tanascius
Example: class MyClass { Composition m_Composition; void MyClass() { m_Composition = new Composition( this ); } } I am interested in using depenency-injection here. So I will have to refactor the constructor to something like: void MyClass( Composition composition ) { m_Composition = composition; } However I get a problem now, since the Composition-object relies on the object of type MyClass which is just created. Can a dependency container resolve this? Is it supposed to do so? Or is it just bad design from the beginning on?

  • Class Library Project VS App_Code - Pros / Cons?

    - by rockinthesixstring
I currently use the App_Code folder for all of my classes, and for me (for now) it seems to be working just fine. I have however been considering making the switch over to a Class Library Project inside my Solution instead of the App_Code folder. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of doing this? One thought I had was with regards to testing my web app. If I use a Class Library, do I have to compile it every time I want to tweak/test? Obviously in the App_Code folder I don't have to since all of the Classes compile at runtime.

  • C++: Avoid .cpp files with only an empty (de)constructor

    - by Martijn Courteaux
Hi, When I have a header file like this: #ifndef GAMEVIEW_H_ #define GAMEVIEW_H_ #include <SDL/SDL.h> class GameView { public: GameView(); virtual ~GameView(); virtual void Update() = 0; virtual void Render(SDL_Surface* buffer) = 0; }; #endif /* GAMEVIEW_H_ */ I need to create a .cpp file like this: #include "GameView.h" GameView::~GameView() { } GameView::GameView() { } This is a bit stupid. Just a .cpp file for an empty constructor and deconstructor. I want to implement that method simply in the header file. That is much cleaner. How to do this?

  • Create automatically only getters in Eclipse

    - by lerad
In Eclipse is it possible to create automatically Getters and Setters for a field. But I have a lot of private fields for which only getters should exist. Is somewhere in Eclipse a "create Getters" Function which does not create setters too? Well, it is not so much work to write getters, but doing it automatically would be nice :) Thank you, lerad

  • Calling managed code from unmanaged win32 assembly dll - crash

    - by JustGreg
I'm developing a serial port dll in win32 assembly (MASM32). It has its own thread checking multiple events and at a specified buffer treshold it'd notify the managed main application by calling a callback function. It just a call with no arguments/return value. At startup the main application stores the callback function's address by calling a function in the dll: pCallBackFunction dd 0 SetCallBackPointer proc pcb:DWORD mov eax, pcb mov pCallBackFunction, eax call DWORD ptr pCallBackFunction ; verify it immediately ret SetCallBackPointer endp The upper function immediately calls back the managed application callback routine for verification purposes. It is working fine. However, when I place the call instruction to other functions in the dll it crashes the application. It doesn't matter if the call is in a simple function or in the threadproc of the dll. For example: OpenPort proc pn:byte,br:dword, inputbuffersize: dword, outputbuffersize:dword, tresholdsize: dword LOCAL dcb: DCB LOCAL SerialTimeOuts: COMMTIMEOUTS call DWORD ptr pCallBackFunction xor eax, eax mov al, pn mov [com_port+3],al etc. etc. will crash at call DWORD ptr pCallBackFunction always. Since I call SetCallBackPointer first to store a valid address in pCallBackFunction, it should have a valid address. My managed app is written in C# and the relevant part is: public partial class Form1 : Form { public delegate void CallBackDelegate(); public static CallBackDelegate mydelegate; [DllImport("serialport.dll")] private static extern void SetCallBackPointer(CallBackDelegate Delegate); [DllImport("serialport.dll")] public static extern int OpenPort(byte com, uint br, uint inbufsize, uint outbufsize, uint treshsize); public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); mydelegate =new CallBackDelegate(CallbackFunction); SetCallBackPointer(mydelegate); unsafe { int sysstat; int hResult; hResult = OpenPort(Convert.ToByte('5'), 9600, 306, 4, 4); } } public static void CallbackFunction() { MessageBox.Show( "CallBack Function Called by Windows DLL"); } The VS debugger reported that the dll had tried to read/write from/to a protected memory address. But when calling SetCallBackPointer there is no such problem. What am I doing wrong here? Any tips would be great!
