  • View dynamic code in Visual Studio

    I generate a dynamic assembly with CSharpCodeProvider, from a C# source saved into a string. I can run the synamic code at runtime, but if I pause the execution Visual Studio doesn't show me the dinamic source code in the call stack. It says "External code" and I can't step into that source code. I think VS can't find PDB or other debug info. Can you help me?

  • is Web Development moving too fast?

    I find myself constantly learning new things in web development and there is always soo much to learn in general. Currently i work with PHP and have tried to keep up with Ruby on Rails(RoR) but it's moving so fast i'm not sure i can keep up with the latest changes. Does anyone else have trouble keeping up with so much innovation in web development or is it just me? And how do you guys cope with the never ending learning process especially with Rails?   • Servlet xxx is not available

    In the web.xml of my web app I have configed the server as following: The web.xml However when I request this servlet ,I got a error which tells me "Servlet SOS is not available",but I am sure this servlet do exist in the WEB-INFO/lib/sos.jar. And I have seen the initialization work under the servelt from the logs. I wonder why can not tomcat find the sevlet?

    Hi, I have a requirement to show a list of all users along with the Last Activity Date. The application is .Net based. I found the MemberShip class provides the Last Activity date. However, this does not work when the MemberShip provider is ActiveDirectory Link to MSDN page because the ActiveDirectoryMemberShipUser does not implement the LastActivityDate property. Is there any workaround or other way, I can get the LastActivityDate of the user in the application. Thanks for any info

    Hi, My question is not exactly about coding, and I'm not sure if I can ask it here. Nevertheless, it's somewhat related to the payment integration process. I'm going to establish a service, and deliver it through a website. When you accept payments through PayPal, they display your actual name to every client, and I'm not that comfortable with such lack of privacy. Is there any way around that?   • C# ASP.NET update SQL database with values from text boxes

    Here's what I have. User enters values into text boxes (personal information etc.) and then presses a save changes button. The values in these text boxes get stored in an SQL database. The problem I have is that when updating the database using the values from the text boxes, the page refreshes and the values in the text boxes are lost (or rather they return to the values that are already in the database as the data from the database is loaded into the text boxes on Page_Load). When I update the database using valuse stored in variables it all works fine. What is the best way to update with the values from the text boxes?

  • Error when starting an activity

    I'm starting an activity when a button is pressed, and normally (in other apps) haven't had an issue. But when I press the button in this app, I get an "unable to marshal value" error. Exact(ish) error from LogCat: 03-22 02:49:02.883: WARN/System.err(252): java.lang.RuntimeException: Parcel: unable to marshal value {CLASSNAME}@44dcf1b8 I feel that this might be related to the extra that I'm passing to the intent. I'm passing an ArrayList as a serializable to this new intent. My concern is that the data structure that the ArrayList contains isn't being serialized (as it's a personal data structure). Is the array list content data structure causing this? Something else that I'm missing?
