    Hi folks, what's the proper way to display an image stored in sqlserver database as an varbinary(max) datatype in CrystalReports for .NET? I have added a 'blobfieldobject' item in crystal reports & it is bound to a datatable with the column of type 'varbinary(max)' but the image won't show up instead a dark background is diplayed. TIA

    I am trying to find a File Picker that runs on ASPX.Net. I need it to insert images in TinyMCE since the one with TinyMCE is licensed. I have been looking for a Silverlight solution, like Silverlight Bridge. I tried to implement SLFileManager that is based on SB, but with little success. I need to be able to upload images, delete/rename etc and also insert the image inside TinyMCE. Any ideas?

    Hello! I'm making a website that requires ads being repeated down the length of a page with dynamic length. I want the ads to be displayed down the entire length of the page, but I won't know that length until after the data has been displayed. Is there built in functionality for this in .NET?     I am refering to this article from Jimmy Bogard He is suggesting two projects to organize your ASP.NET MVC solution. Basically, one project for the code and another for the rendering My concern is about global.asax file. Jimmy suggested separating global.asax from global.asax.cs and put them in two differents projects When I did this, I could not compile my solution. I got this error : Could not load type 'MyProject.Web.Global'. Can someone help and show me how to solve this? Thanks

This particular one is passing in a string value as a parameter, then my web service will use that parameter to query my database via a stored procedure. Problem is, I know how to pass the parameter from android, but I don't know how to retrieve it in my .Net(vb) web service and use it. Given I have an ASP.NET site, which uses a [custom] RoleProvider, Is there any way in which I can somehow "refresh" the provider without forcing the user to log out of the site and log back in? I'm looking for something that would be akin to a fictional method Roles.Refresh() Specifically, I am looking at this for if an administrator changes a user's roles, the user sessions could maybe refresh themselves every 10 minutes or something.

    Hello, I'm using a rich text editor in my asp.net mvc form (nicedit with a textarea) and when I submit the form on post, because it is not html encoded I get the following message: "A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client" . How can I html encode the textarea on post ? I don't want to cancel the validation. Is there a way to use the html.encode helper on submit? Thank you.

    I have deployed my ASP.net MVC site to a shared hosting company. The problem is that now none of the pages except for the home page work. For example if I go to /Account/Register I get a page not found. However, if I go to /Account/Register/Index.aspx then it does work. I have tried modifying the routing to add in that index.aspx but everything I have tried fails.
