  • Sending someone a Link in Outlook that refers to a local application with a param

    Hi I want to send someone a HTML Mail via my application (c#). This Mail contains should contain a clickable html link that refers to a local application. f.e. : <a href="c:\myapplication.exe -1234">click</a> It already works to send the mail but the link does not appear as a link. I also tried the "file:/// ... " thing but it does not work in combination with a param. Does someone know another solution ?

  • saving appengine mail from spam filters

    One of my clients uses Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Security to protect their internal mail services. Suddenly InterScan decided to filter out all messages coming from Google App Engine. Unfortunately they haven't been able to whitelist the sender address as each e-mail gets a different one. For example, *3ckihSOVMMHlZHSL.JSMMHlZHSL.JS*@apphosting.bounces.google.com, with everything before the @ being variable. Update I'm including this screenshot of how Interscan sees the incoming e-mail. Notice that all senders are different: If I look into the e-mail headers, the apphosting domain appears inside the Return-Path field: Return-Path: <36kSiSwYIBh0883XL3E7.5EH883XL3E7.5E@apphosting.bounces.google.com> The "From" field looks ok. It says what I set it to say, but the spam filter only looks at the Return-Path. My client sysadmin doesn't want to whitelist the whole apphosting domain, as it wouldn't be only whitelisting my application. How could I bypass this e-mail filters if I can't get an unique sender?     Hello, Because the IP of the SMTP server that is being used by my Gridserver account at Mediatemple is blacklisted I'm looking for an off site SMTP service to send mails from my PHP application to (verification mails, notifications, etc). I'm using CampaignMonitor.com for mass mailings, but for all other mails I would like to use another service. I've checked out smtp.com and smtp-server.com which look okay, but maybe there are better out there? A reporting feature for undeliverables are a huge plus!

  • Best way to export an icon from photoshop?

    Hi, I'm writing a program to notify me of new email. It's mostly complete, I'm just working on the notifyicon code now. It's supposed to display the usual application icon with a box containing the count of unread emails inside it. I created icons for this in photoshop, exported them as 16x16 transparent PNGs, then converted them into windows ico files using ConvertIcon.com. Given that the image was 16x16 and the WinXP system tray uses 16x16 icons, I would assume the images would work. HOWEVER, when I start the application and get an email, the icon's all blurry: http://cyndle.com/bPJ7

    Hello I am using ibatis and C#. i get a result from a select query that has CreatedDate as one of the field. The Datatype of CreatedDate in Mysql is Date. I assign the result set of the select query to a Ilist< DeliveryClass **. Here the DeliveryClass CreatedDate as DateTime. When i run the application, i get **Unable to convert MySQL date/time value to System.DateTime. What could be the problem?

    I would like to calculate the "size on disk" of a file in Python. Therefore I would like to determine the cluster size of the file system where the file is stored. How do I determine the cluster size in Python? Or another built-in method that calculates the "size on disk" will also work. I looked at os.path.getsize but it returns the file size in bytes, not taking the FS's block size into consideration. I am hoping that this can be done in an OS independent way...

    I have to code an app that at some point in time will have to send some reports using Lotus Notes. My questions are : Can I send mail through the Lotus Notes client, or something related to Lotus Notes ( a command line tool maybe? )? If so, where could I find information related to this? I would prefer not having to do it in C/C++, but if no other options' present, that would do. How can I find out the server's address? The GUI is not intuitive, and I can't find the server address. The server's located on another computer on the network.

I want to edit the code to display a javascript alert, instead of a redirect. I don't have much PHP knowledge, so how would I edit this code to return a alert instead of a redirect?

    If I want to send mail not via SMTP, but rather via sendmail, is there a library for python that encapsulates this process? Better yet, is there a good library that abstracts the whole 'sendmail -versus- smtp' choice? I'll be running this script on a bunch of unix hosts, only some of which are listening on localhost:25; a few of these are part of embedded systems and can't be set up to accept SMTP. As part of Good Practice, I'd really like to have the library take care of header injection vulnerabilities itself -- so just dumping a string to popen('/usr/bin/sendmail', 'w') is a little closer to the metal than I'd like. If the answer is 'go write a library,' so be it ;-)

I have figured out how to use UTF-8 for the body, subject line, and generic headers, but I am still stuck on the recipients. Here's what I'd like in the "To:" field: "????????????" <[email protected]>. Everything works fine except when I try to open the file in gedit (linux), it says it can't identify the character encoding. Notepad (on windows) opens the file just fine.   • System.Data.DataException thrown when launching application after install

    I currently have a (Visual Studio 2008) installer that has a 'Primary output...' custom action under 'Install' with 'InstallerClass' set to false. During the install I get a System.Data.DataException. When I run the debugger I am getting an exception being thrown from a bit of database access code that runs when the application starts. The database access is using Windows Authentication and works correctly when the application is started manually. Is this something to do with permission settings not allowing db access when launched from the installer? (I'm out of ideas)

[MattsAttribute] public class SomeClassWhichIsACodeBehind { However, I need to be able to test this attribute easily, and putting it in the code-behind would cause a lot of extra effort to get it deployed to an environment which would respond to the behavior of attribute. What I would like to do: declaratively apply this attribute to the .aspx page itself (which is really just another class that inherits from the code-behind). Is this possible? If so, what is the proper syntax for doing this?

  • Detect file system changes on Samba share with Java on Windows

    Hi, for a recent project I need to detect file system changes on a mapped Samba share from java on windows: Creates, updates and removes. At the moment I am using a folder poll that maintains a list of files and their modified timestamp to look for events. But my problem is that this folder poll only peeks into the folder at certain times (every 10 seconds for example), so an updated file can be updated twice between two polls without recognizing. Is there any way to get events from windows inside Java whenever a file event occours on that mappep Samba share? Thanks!

    I have to send sensitive information (name, address, social security number etc.) collected from a website, that has been entered by a user, to an e-mail address. What is the best course of action to make the information secure and easy to extract on the receiver side? Edit: I will be using ASP.NET for the website, not sure what it has for capabilities on this matter. Edit: If I decide to store the information in a database and just send a mail when a new entry has been made, would this be better? And create some secure way to dump the information instead.
