• Confused with creating an ODBC connection, apparently I have two separate odbcad32.exe files?

  Alright, this is my first time working with this so forgive me if I'm a little confusing or vague. I have a server with Windows Server 2008 Standard without Hyper-v (6.0, Build 6002). I'm running a small website off this server and using a Microsoft Access database to store some information coming in through the website. I'm sure the PHP I have written to open the ODBC connection is correct as it has worked for me when I created this website in a testing environment on a laptop. My current issue now is that it seems like I have two different odbcad32.exe's, and one doesn't appear to have a driver for a .accdb file, and only a .mdb file. The other has a driver for both. The first one I speak of has a driver titled 'Driver do Microsoft Access (.mdb)', the second one has a driver titled 'Microsoft Access Driver (.mdb, .accdb)'. I access the first odbcad32.exe by going to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe, and then the one that seems to have the driver I need I go to Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Data Sources(ODBC) and simply create a new connection in the System DNS tab. Whenever I make changes to the one that I access through the Control Panel, I see no changes, however if I use the odbcad32.exe file in SysWOW64 I do get some changes in the errors that come back to me. The main difference I noticed is that when I set up an ODBC connection with the Control Panel method it said it simply couldn't find the ODBC connection, but when I made a .mdb connection in the SysWOW64 one (and pointed it to a .accdb file) it says Cannot open database '(unknown)'. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt. Which makes it seem like it is this odbcad32.exe version in SySWOW64 that is being recognized as the 'correct' one. Is there any way to fix this? I've tried to be as thorough as possible but if I've been confusing or left anything out let me know.

• AjaxControlToolkit: HtmlEditor Textarea not showing in Chrome/Safari

  Hi, I am using the HtmlEditor Control included in the AjaxControlToolkit (patched version v62210 because I needed some of the included fixes). Unfortunately the textarea in the Html Editor control is never displayed in Chrome and Safari (both latest version). It doesn't matter if there is text in it or not. It does work on the AjaxControlToolkit Sample page with both browsers though. Any ideas?

• how to clear the textbox value of asyncfileupload .. ?

  There is one button(MyButton). OnClick of this button a modalpopup(MyPopup) appears with one asyncfileupload ajax control, Ok button and Cancel button. The browse functionality of the asyncfileupload functionality is working fine, No problem. But after postback, if I click the MyButton again, the popup appearing with the previous path in the asyncfileupload control's textbox. How to clear it ... ! Thanks in advance.

  Is there a way to capture each WPF MediaElement frame? Like an event that fires at each rendered frame and allows me to access it. If MediaElement does not provide such functionality, how could it be implemented or what other control could I use? On a side note, is there such a control or method that would allow for off-screen fast rendering of media clips with frame capture? (so I could process frames as fast as possible)

  Established app working fine using Android Studio 0.5.9/ Gradle 0.9 but upgrading to Android Studio 0.6.0/ Gradle 0.11 causes the error below.   Hello. I'm developing an ASP.NET application with C# and Visual Studio 2008 SP1. I'm using WebForms. I have an ASPX page with two UpdatePanels, one on the left that holds a TreeView and other on the right where I load dynamically user controls. One user control, that I used on right panel, has a FileUpload control and a button to save that file on server. The ascx code to save control is: <asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanelBotons" runat="server" RenderMode="Inline" UpdateMode="Conditional"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:Button ID="Save" runat="server" Text="Guardar" onclick="Save_Click" CssClass="button" /> </ContentTemplate> <Triggers> <asp:PostBackTrigger ControlID="Save" /> </Triggers> </asp:UpdatePanel> I make a full postback to upload the file to the server and save it to database. But I always getting False on FileUpload.HasFile. I problem is the right UpdatePanel. I need it to load dynamically the user controls. This panel has three UpdatePanels to load the three user controls that I use. Maybe I can use an Async File Uploader or delete the right Update Panel and do a full postback to load controls dynamically. Any advice? UPDATE: RegisterPostBackControl works... the second time I click on save button. First time FileUpload.HasFile is FALSE, and second time is TRUE. Second Update On first click I also check ScriptManager.IsInAsyncPostBack and is FALSE. I don't understand ANYTHING!! Why?   I have a Win app (VB.net 2005) with an About.htm page that comes up when the user presses F1, using a HelpProvider control. The application was deployed using ClickOnce technology. When I release a new version I have to manually copy the About.htm file from my development area to our LAN (specified by the HelpNamespace property of the HelpProvider control). • Cascading dropdownlist jQuery does not retain value on post back.

  I have two html select server control on an add data form page. the user selects a value in the first html select server control and then values are populated into the second html select server control with jquery. The problem is when a a user clicks the save button and the page posts back, the values are no longer in the drop down list populated by jQuery. The drop downlist is a html server control, shouldn't it retain the values on post-back?   I want the Escape key to close my WPF window. However if there is a control that can consume that Escape key, I don't want to close the Window. • ASP.NET Creating a Rich Repeater, DataBind wiping out custom added controls...

  So...I had this clever idea that I'd create my own Repeater control that implements paging and sorting by inheriting from Repeater and extending it's capabilities. I found some information and bits and pieces on how to go about this and everything seemed ok... I created a WebControlLibrary to house my custom controls. Along with the enriched repeater, I created a composite control that would act as the "pager bar", having forward, back and page selection. My pager bar works 100% on it's own, properly firing a paged changed event when the user interacts with it. The rich repeater databinds without issue, but when the databind fires (when I call base.databind()), the control collection is cleared out and my pager bars are removed. This screws up the viewstate for the pager bars making them unable to fire their events properly or maintain their state. I've tried adding the controls back to the collection after base.databind() fires, but that doesn't solve the issue. I start to get very strange results including problems with altering the hierarchy of the control tree (resolved by adding [ViewStateModeById]). Before I go back to the drawing board and create a second composite control which contains a repeater and the pager bars (so that the repeater isn't responsible for the pager bars viewstate) are there any thoughts about how to resolve the issue? In the interest of share and share alike, the code for the repeater itself is below, the pagerbars aren't as significant as the issue is really the maintaining of state for any additional child controls.   Hello, I have a .NET user control registered as COM. I use regasm to register the control and can then use it in a web page. I have hear that Silverlight 4 supports COM, is that true ? would I be able to use my UserControl in a silverlight application ? Thank you

  Hello! I'm writing a Windows phone 7 Silverlight Application. and i have to set Visibility of my Stackpanel to Collapsed when mouse leaves this control. But this event occurs even if i simply click on my control without mouse movings. Lost focus event doesn't work too. How to achieve my goal? Thx in advance!
