  I have an application which can run as admin prevailed user without error but while administrator runs it it produces error. The input string was not in correct format-application error. I tried to figure it out but not possible, since most of the people are looking for admin privilege to run it, me looking why can't a admin run the program without errors?   I want to know how is data I/O takes place on flash drives which are typically EEPROM's . I thought so as I was writing a C Program that involves file handling . For a normal HDD , that would involve returning the file pointer and reading or writing data to the disk which would be done by read/write HEAD . While in EEPROM's there is no read/write head , as it's works on mnemonic commands , So how come does the C file handling program works when I apply it to a file on flash drive ?

  When cutting/copying some cells to paste them into another sheet/page, sometimes Excel freezes/locks up and fades out. At the top toolbar it says in brackets "not responding". Eventually, I must click 'X' to close the program. It offers to wait for the program to respond, but never does – it just does nothing until I finally close it, where it offers to recover files etc. Is there an issue with memory here? What can I do to stop it locking up?

  I have downloaded some .m4b files, but my mp3 player cannot play them. I have tried several converters i found through google, but they can't seem to be able to convert the whole files. (Its an 8 hour long file, first program only converted it to a 1 hour long mp3, and the 2nd converted it to 5 hrs long, but with 3 hrs still missing).   What options are available for running Windows 7 as an appliance and is there an official Microsoft program to get involved in? I would like to run the computer as a box that boots, displays no bios or boot information, then moves immediately to run one program full-screen without allowing the user to interact. It seems like there should be some base configurations that allow this or a special version of Windows that is configured to minimize extraneous display and control.
