• Removing and restoring Window borders

  I want to remove the window borders of another process in C#; I used RemoveMenu to remove the borders. It almost works but I have 2 problems left: I need to remove the borders twice, the first time the menu bar still exists.   I m trying to insert label in each row of the cell. Displaying integer. and I m trying to increase the quantity if user click on button add or minus I able to insert button in UITableView Cell as well the function to change the value. • Why my jquery function is not firing on Firefox

  I have some trouble with some jquery method (for some checkboxes I want them to fire on checked/unchecked so I can do something then). In the while loop, I was expecting the TakeWhile to add the bytes that did not equal the footer part of the message. Note: Since I am removing the bytes after reading them, the header can always be expected to be at position '0'. I searched examples for splitting byte arrays, but non demonstrated splitting on arrays of unknown and fluctuating sizes. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks much!

  I'm having a little trouble thinking through this and deciding if it's a design flaw on my behalf or if I'm missing a piece that could make this work. Basically I'm using the new SLRequest to make a Twitter API call. • Speeding up a group by date query on a big table in postgres

  I've got a table with around 20 million rows. For arguments sake, lets say there are two columns in the table - an id and a timestamp. I'm trying to get a count of the number of items per day. Here's what I have at the moment. SELECT DATE(timestamp) AS day, COUNT(*) FROM actions WHERE DATE(timestamp) >= '20100101' AND DATE(timestamp) < '20110101' GROUP BY day; Without any indices, this takes about a 30s to run on my machine. Here's the explain analyze output: GroupAggregate (cost=675462.78..676813.42 rows=46532 width=8) (actual time=24467.404..32417.643 rows=346 loops=1) -> Sort (cost=675462.78..675680.34 rows=87021 width=8) (actual time=24466.730..29071.438 rows=17321121 loops=1) Sort Key: (date("timestamp")) Sort Method: external merge Disk: 372496kB -> Seq Scan on actions (cost=0.00..667133.11 rows=87021 width=8) (actual time=1.981..12368.186 rows=17321121 loops=1) Filter: ((date("timestamp") >= '2010-01-01'::date) AND (date("timestamp") < '2011-01-01'::date)) Total runtime: 32447.762 ms Since I'm seeing a sequential scan, I tried to index on the date aggregate CREATE INDEX ON actions (DATE(timestamp)); Which cuts the speed by about 50%. HashAggregate (cost=796710.64..796716.19 rows=370 width=8) (actual time=17038.503..17038.590 rows=346 loops=1) -> Seq Scan on actions (cost=0.00..710202.27 rows=17301674 width=8) (actual time=1.745..12080.877 rows=17321121 loops=1) Filter: ((date("timestamp") >= '2010-01-01'::date) AND (date("timestamp") < '2011-01-01'::date)) Total runtime: 17038.663 ms I'm new to this whole query-optimization business, and I have no idea what to do next.   Hi all. Problem: I am using Java Tutorials™ sourcecode for this. This is the source code. I tried this: --following with another section of sorted words-- words.add("count"); words.add("cvs"); words.add("dce"); words.add("depth"); --following with another section of sorted words-- and it works perfectly. However when I use this: --just a section of sorted words-- words.add("count"); words.add("cvs"); words.add("dce_iface"); words.add("dce_opnum"); words.add("dce_stub_data"); words.add("depth"); --following with another section of sorted words-- It does show dce_iface when I type dce, but when I type _ then following with o or s it shows me something else like dce_offset where the offset comes from words.add("fragoffset"); somewhere in the list. What can I do to solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

From the above table can conclude that; user id=1 subscribed to 6 users user id=2 subscribed to 3 users I want to find manual of subscription (like Facebook is manual friends) user 1 subscribe to user 5,6,7,8,9,10 user 2 subscribe to user 5,6,7 So, Manual subscription of user 1 and 2 are: 5,6,7 And I'm trying to create SQL statement.. I give you user table for my SQL statement and I think we can use only subscribe table but I can't figure out. Table user userid (columns) 1 2 3 ... ... SQL "select * from user where (select count( 1 ) from subscribe where subscriber = '1' and subscribeto = user.userid) and (select count( 1 ) from subscribe where subscriber = '2' and subscribeto = user.userid);" This SQL can work correctly, but it very slow for thousands of columns.   I'm having some problems with creating pagination with a HABTM relationship. First, the tables and relationships: requests (id, to_location_id, from_location_id) locations (id, name) items_locations (id, item_id, location_id) items (id, name) So, a Request has a Location the request is coming from and a Location the Request is going to. For this question, I'm only concerned about the "to" location. Request --belongsTo--> Location* --hasAndBelongsToMany--> Item (* as "ToLocation") In my RequestController, I want to paginate all the Items in a Request's ToLocation. // RequestsController var $paginate = array( 'Item' => array( 'limit' => 5, 'contain' => array( "Location" ) ) ); // RequestController::add() $locationId = 21; $items = $this->paginate('Item', array( "Location.id" => $locationId )); And this is failing, because it is generating this SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS count FROM items Item WHERE Location.id = 21 I can't figure out how to make it actually use the "contain" argument of $paginate... Any ideas?

• SDK2 query for counting: which is more efficient?

  I have an app that is displaying metrics about defects in a project. I have the option of making one query that returns all the defects, and from that I can break out about four different metrics (How many defects escaped QA in 90 days, 180 days, and then the same metrics again but only counting sev1/sev2 defects). I could make four queries and limit the results to one so that I just get a count for each. Or I could make one query that encompass them all (all defects that escaped QA in 180 days) and then count up the difference. I'm figuring worst case, the number of defects that escaped QA in the last six months will generally be less than 100, certainly less 500 worst case. Which would you do-- four queryies with one result each, or one single query that on average might return 50, perhaps worst case 500? And I guess the key question is-- where are the inflections points? Perhaps I have more metrics tomorrow (who knows, 8?) and a different average defect counts. Is there a rule of thumb I could use to help choose which approach?

• Trouble accessing Mutable array

  Im having trouble with my for loop where I am trying to index user names. I am able to separate my original array into individual objects but am not able to send the value to a new array that I need to reference later on. The value and count for userNames in my self.userNamesArray = userNames; line is correct. But right after that when I log self.userNamesArray, I get (null).   There is 'team_sector' table with following fields: Id, team_id, sect_id, size, level It contains few records for each 'team' entity (referenced with 'team_id' field). Each record represent sector of team's stadium (totally 8 sectors). Now it is necessary to implement few searches: by overall stadium size (SUM(size)); the best quality (SUM(level)/COUNT(*)). I could create query something like this: SELECT TS.team_id, SUM(TS.size) as OverallSize, SUM(TS.Level)/COUNT(TS.Id) AS QualityLevel FROM team_sector GROUP BY team_id ORDER BY OverallSize DESC / ORDER BY QualityLevel DESC But my concern here is that calculation for each team will be done each time on query performed. It is not too big overhead (at least now), but I would like to avoid performance issues later. I see 2 options here. The 1st one is to create 2 additional fields in 'team' table (for example) and store there OverallSize and QualityLevel fields. If information if 'sector' table is changed - update those table too (probably would be good to do that with triggers, as sector table doesn't change too often). The 2nd option is to create a view that will provide required data. The 2nd option seems much easier for me, but I don't have a lot of experience/knowledge of work with views. Q1: What is the best option from your perspective here and why? Probably you could suggest other options? Q2: Can I create view in such way that it will do calculations rarely (at least once per day)? If yes - how? Q3: Is it reasonable to use triggers for such purpose (1st option). P.S. MySql 5.1 is used, overall number of teams is around 1-2 thousand, overall number of records in sector table - overall 6-8 thousand. I understand, those numbers are pretty small, but I would like to implement the best practice here.

  Goal If the following description is hard follow, please see the example "before" and "after" to see a straightforward example. I have bartering data, with unique trade ids, and two sides of the trade. Side1 and Side2 are baskets, lists of item ids that represent both sides of the barter transaction. I'd like to count the frequency each ITEM appears in TRADES. E.g, if item "001" appeared in 3 trades, I'd have a count of 3 (ignoring how many times the item appeared in each trade). Further, I'd like to do this with the plyr ddply function. (If you're interested as to my motivation, I working over many hundreds of thousands of transactions and am already using a ddply to calculate several other summary statistics. I'd like to add this to the ddply I'm already using, rather than calculate it after, and merge it into the ddply output.... sorry if that was difficult to follow.) In terms of pseudo code I'm working off of: merge each row of Side1 and Side2 by row, get unique() appearances of each item id apply table() function transpose and relabel output from table Example of the structure of my data, and the output I desire.   I am using visual studio 2005 c#, and doing server side coding. I have a list of checkboxes in my gridview via checkbox template. I have tried to assign a checkbox in my header template, and assigned a checkbox_checkchange method to make it such that when the checkbox at the header is checked, the list of checkboxes in the template will be checked as well. However, it does not work and I am not able to spot the mistake. This is what I think is going on: The OS X client sends a kerberos request. The KDC says, "You need to pre-authenticate. Try again" The OS X client tries to pre-authenticate (all this so far is over UDP) Something gets lost on our network and the KDC says, "Oops something went wrong" The OS X client switches to TCP and tries again. Over TCP, the KDC says, "You're using an encryption type I don't support" Note that in its padata records, the OS X client is always using "aes256-cts-hmac-sha1-96" as its encryption type. However, in its KDC_REQ_BODY record it lists the aes256-cts-hmac-sha1-96, aes128-cts-hmac-sha1-96, des3-cbc-sha1, and rc4-hmac encryption types. When the KDC comes back with KDC_ERR_ETYPE_NOSUPP, it uses rc4-hmac as its encryption type in its padata record. I know next to nothing about Kerberos, but it seems to me that the OS X client should go ahead and try the rc4-hmac encryption type. However, it does nothing after this. If I do the same search for the Linux and Windows PCs I added previously, I can find them.
