  • Why is Standard Input is not displayed as I type in Mac OS X Terminal application?

    I'm confused by some behavior of my Mac OS X Terminal and my Django manage.py shell and pdb. When I start a new terminal, the Standard Input is displayed as I type. However, if there is an error, suddenly Standard Input does not appear on the screen. This error continues until I shut down that terminal window. The Input is still being captured as I can see the Standard Output. E.g. in pdb.set_trace() I can 'l' to display where I'm at in the code. However, the 'l' will not be displayed, just an empty prompt. This makes it hard to debug because I can't determine what I'm typing in. What could be going wrong and what can I do to fix it?

    I have a chance to upgrade a legacy suite of applications currently using .net 1.1 to the newest .net framework. It uses OpenNETCF 1.4 to communicate with the mobile device. Is it worthwhile to upgrade from opennetCF ver 1.4 to ver 2.3 as well? Should I be expecting significant roadblocks/issues while doing so OR if anyone has already done the upgrade, is it painless and beneficial? The application utilizes Rapi from the OpenNETCF.Desktop.Communication The PDA applications run on Dell X51 and HP IPaQ series

    I was trying to create a new Class Library project targeted for the .NET Compact Framework. However, when I select "New project - Smart Device" I only have the Smart Device Project template. I've checked the folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\CSharp\SmartDevice\1033 It contains several project templates: SmartDeviceClassLibrary SmartDeviceConsoleApplication SmartDeviceEmptyProject SmartDeviceWindowsApplication SmartDeviceWindowsControlLibrary None of those are shown on my IDE. How can I use one of those project templates?

  • Facebook App Wall Posting no longer showing in Facebook iPhone App

    I use the GRAPH API with django for Facebook wall postings. Since yesterday, the wall posts only show on the Facebook web app but not the Facebook iPhone app. I tried Yelp, and their postings still show up. How can I debug this? Anyone notice this issue with their Facebook connect? Is this a Facebook algorithm issue.     I am building a website in python/django and want to predict wether a user submission is valid or wether it is spam. Users have an accept rate on their submissions, like this website has. Users can moderate other users' submissions; and these moderations are later metamoderated by an admin. Given this: user A with an submission accept rate of 60% submits something. user B moderates A's post as a valid submission. However, his moderations are often wrong, and his moderations' accept rate is a mere 30%. user C moderates A's post as spam. User C is usually right. His moderations' accept rate is 80%. How can I predict the chance of A's post being spam?

    Per the above I am trying to re-target a fresh ASP.NET MVC 2 application in Visual Studio 2010 RTM. After all sorts of tweaking the closest I am getting is the error below: The primary reference "System.Web.Mvc, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the framework assembly "System.Web, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" which could not be resolved in the currently targeted framework. ".NETFramework,Version=v3.5". To resolve this problem, either remove the reference "System.Web.Mvc, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35, processorArchitecture=MSIL" or retarget your application to a framework version which contains "System.Web, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a".     Hi again. I am using the next instructions to get some registers from my Database. Create the needed models (from the params module): $obj_paramtype_model = new Params_Model_DbTable_Paramtype(); $obj_param_model = new Params_Model_DbTable_Param(); Getting the available locales from the database // This returns a Zend_Db_Table_Row_Abstract class object $obj_paramtype = $obj_paramtype_model->getParamtypeByValue('available_locales'); // This is a query used to add conditions to the next sentence. This is executed from the Params_Model_DbTable_Param instance class, that depends from Params_Model_DbTable_Paramtype class (reference map and dependentTables arrays are fine in both classes) $obj_select = $this->select()->where('deleted_at IS NULL')->order('name'); // Execute the next query, applying the select restrictions. This returns a Zend_Db_Table_Rowset_Abstract class object. This means "Find Params by Paramtype" $obj_params_rowset = $obj_paramtype->findDependentRowset('Params_Model_DbTable_Param', 'Paramtype', $obj_paramtype); // Here the firebug log displays the queries.... Zend_Registry::get('log')->debug($obj_params_rowset); I have a profiler for all my DB executions from Zend. At this point the log and profiler objects (that includes Firebug writers), shows the executed SQL Queries, and the last line displays the resulting Zend_Db_Table_Rowset_Abstract class object. If I execute the SQL Queries in some MySQL Client, the results are as expected. But the Zend Firebug log writer displays as NULL the column values with latin characters (ñ). In other words, the external SQL client shows es_CO | Español de Colombia and en_US | English of United States but the Query results from Zend displays (and returns) es_CO | null and en_US | English of United States. I've deleted the ñ character from Español de Colombia and the query results are just fine in my Zend Log Firebug screen, and in the final Zend Form element. The MySQL database, tables and columns are in UTF-8 - utf8_unicode_ci collation. All my zend framework pages are in UTF-8 charset. I'm using XAMPP 1.7.1 (PHP 5.2.9, Apache at port 90 and MySQL 5.1.33-community) running on Windows 7 Ultimate; Zend Framework 1.10.1. I'm sorry if there is so much information, but I don't really know why could that happen, so I tryed to provide as much related information as I could to help to find some answer.

    I have code that looks like this: from sorl.thumbnail import ImageField class Gallery(models.Model): pass class GalleryImage(models.Model): image = ImageField(upload_to='galleries') In the admin: class GalleryImageInline(admin.TabularInline): model = GalleryImage class GalleryAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): inlines = (GalleryImageInline,) If I use the sorl.thumbnail as above, it is impossible to add images in the admin. I get the validation error Enter a list of values. If I replace the sorl.thumbnail.ImageField with a plain django ImageField, everything works. If I want sorl.thumbnail to clean up the cache thumbnails, I need to use it in the model, but if I use it in the model, I can't seem to add any images to need thumbnails. Anyone else found and fixed this problem yet?

  • Real-time data on webpage with jQuery

    I would like a webpage that constantly updates a graph with new data as it arrives. Regularly, all the data you have is passed to the page at the beginning of the request. However, I need the page to be able to update itself with fresh information every few seconds to redraw the graph. Background The webpage will be similar to this http://www.panic.com/blog/2010/03/the-panic-status-board/. The data coming in will temperature values to be graphed measured by an Arduino and saved to the Django database (this part is already complete). Update It sounds as though the solution is to use the jQuery.ajax() function ( http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.ajax/) with a function as the .complete callback that will schedule another request several seconds later to a URL that will return the data in JSON format. How can that method be scheduled? With the .delay() function?

  • Access to module denied from within GAE dev server

    I am developing an app for GAE. Having installed the "feedparser" module with setuptools, I tried importing it (with "import feedparser") statement. However, the module does not load and when I look at the dev_appserver.py debug log on screen, I see the following: Access to module file denied: /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/feedparser-4.1-py2.6.egg/feedparser.py So GAE dev server cannot access the module but I can't figure out why. The path is correct and the file is accessible. I am fairly new to Python/Django/GAE - what am I missing?

  • How to deal with symbolic links when going between Linux and Windows?

    I have a django project that runs on a Linux server, and I've been working on it both on Linux and OS X. I've noticed that some of the pages are a bit off, to put it politely, in Internet Explorer, and so I checked out the subversion repository on Windows and tried to run a local server. My media directory has symbolic links to all of the media from each different app, and obviously Windows doesn't know what to do with them. I could simply hard-copy or link everything manually in Windows, but then I wouldn't be able to check that in (since the site runs on a Linux server), so it'd be a pain in the neck. What is typically done in this case?

Real framework needs modification of system setting. And still not work smoothly on every parts. Problem is static library need header files, and it's impossible to reference header files on project at another location on different project without some script. And script breaks IDE's file management abstraction. How can I use static library project like a convenient module manner? (just dragging project into another project to complete embedding)
