  I have need of suggestion here that how should be the xml structure here for my need. I want to store data for more than one table in single xml file that is I want to define more than one table in single xml file.And I want to set more than one attribute for each column definition. Like I have three tables PersonalInfo,OfficeDetail,OtherInfo. • Java FileDialog programmatically set size

  I want to display a Java FileDialog and sets its initial size to something reasonable (it doesn't show the maximize button, and a lot of users might not know you can use alt-space X instead). I tried setBounds but it didn't do anything, and I don't see a method for maximizing it; what am I missing? Update: on Windows at least, the system file dialog remembers size and maximize state even across program invocations, so the user can set it to the desired size just once and it will stay that way; that seems sufficient, so I will leave it at that.

Each PiePiece has a flavor attribute How do I create a hash that looks like this: # flavor => number of pieces { :cherry => 3 :apple => 1 :strawberry => 2 } This works, but I think it could be improved def inventory hash = {} pieces.each do |p| hash[p.flavor] ||= 0 hash[p.flavor] += 1 end hash end Any ideas?

• Rails subscription limitations

  I have an application with set limits on subscription attributes i/e a user can have five projects for subscription A but have ten for subscription B At present I run a check on there current usage when linking to the create action and if they are over there limit I do not display the link to create a new project. On the view (for the new project ) I again run the check (in a helper) to see if they can create a new project and if they are not I display a message stating so and a little upgrade link. Is this a secure method of stopping a user bypassing there subscription attribute limitations ? What about direct PUT requests etc ?

• How to step inside NSManagedObject; access individual attributes.

  NSManagedObject *entryObj = [self.fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:indexPath]; entryObj consists of four String attributes. If I NSLog entryObj, I get the information I want. I cannot figure out how to access each of these properties individually. I read a similar post where the solution was to call "entity." I cannot figure out how to use "entity" to access a specific attribute. Any ideas? References? Tutorials? Thanks in advance.

• Why doesn’t Office-applications get focus when run from another application on Win 2008?

  I have some different COM-Interop examples that when run on Windows 2008 (Office 2007) always open minimized in the task bar. On Windows 2003 or XP they open like I want them to. Has there been any changes to how Windows deals with this? Or to Office? I know that I can close windows with CTRL-SHIFT-ALT, and by that get them to start maximized next time, but for some dialogs this doesn’t work. Is there any way to make them always open maximized or on top? Any clues that could point me in the right direction would be helpful. I have tried with both our VB6 app and a test app in C#.

• Problem with the row count transform

  Hi, I currently deployed an SSIS package (Developed on the 2005 version) (developed on my local server) in a pre production environment for testing. I have used the Row count transform to get a count of good/bad records. It works fine on my local system . However when i deploy this on the pre prod server, the row count does not work! (as in it does not recognize the vairbales i have assigned to the relevant transofm - no drop down abvaliable in the variables attribute part. tried deleting and adding a new transoform.. no luck. Strangely this does not work for any of the other packages also present/deployed on the same server (tried this out by dropping an rc tramsform onto an existing package... same problem) Any suggestions?   I'm building a site with a hashchange on wordpress, all working good. It just loads a single.php template file into a div. The problem is that i can still access my single url (http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post). Since its not having any head and style tags with it, i don't want people to go over there. Also google has picked up the direct links, because I use the href attribute to load content into the div. So my question is: If someone clicks a link lets say in a forum, http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post , is it possible to redirect him instantly to http://www.mydomain.com/#my-single-post ? I have researched that it has something to do with .htaccess, but I also have Pages, where i don't want the hash infront of the page-name.

  Consider the following two elements: <button type="submit" class="button">Test</button> <a href="#" class="button">Test 2</a> ...which use the following style definition: .button { background-color: yellow; color: white; border: 1px solid orange; display: inline-block; font-size: 24pt; padding: 2px 16px; text-decoration: none; } This produces two buttons beside each other with an equal height in Chrome. However, Firefox renders the button on the left with a height 1px greater than the button on the right (the <a>): (I've enlarged the image above by 2x.) • jQuery Nested Droppables

  I have a nested set of jQuery droppables...one outer droppable that encompasses most of the page and an a set of nested inner droppables on the page. The functionality I want is: If a draggable is dropped outside of any of the inner droppables it should be accepted by the outer droppable. If a draggable is dropped onto any of the inner droppables it should NOT be accepted by the outer droppable, regardless of whether the inner droppable accepts the draggable. So that would be easy if I could guarantee 1+ inner droppables would accept the draggable, because the greedy attribute would make sure it would only get triggered once. Unfortunately the majority of the time the inner droppable will also reject the draggable, meaning the greedy option doesn't really help. Summary: The basic functionality is a set of valid/invalid inner droppables to accept the draggable, but when you toss the draggable outside any of the draggables it gets destroyed by the outer droppable. What's the best way of doing this?

  Hello, I'm using NSPredicates to fetch entities based on a name attribute. Creating a predicate for names beginning with letters was easy (@"name BEGINSWITH %@", searchLetter), however now I'd like to fetch all entities with a name that begins with a numerical value, or rather a non-alphabetical number. What would be the appropriate predicate expression here? Right now I don't want to get too deep into predicate programming, as this is all I need right now and time flies. So, please, don't point me to the Predicate Programming Guide, I just need that expression.. :) Thanks alot guys!

  I'm working on a three model relationship with one aspect that I'm not sure how to approach. Here's the basic relationship: class Taxonomy has_many :terms # attribute: `inclusive`, default => false end class Term belongs_to :taxonomy has_and_belongs_to_many :photos end class Photo has_and_belongs_to_many :terms end This is pretty straightforward stuff except for one thing: A Taxonomy can be either 'Inclusive' or 'Exclusive'. Exclusive means the terms are mutually exclusive, Inclusive means they're not. So, if a Taxonomy is exclusive ie. taxonomy.inclusive = false, then there can only be one term from that taxonomy attached to a given photo. Now, I can handle this on the client-side without a problem, but I am not quite sure how to set up a validation on Photos (or somewhere else) that says basically: "validate that no more than one term from an exclusive taxonomy is associated with this record." Any ideas on how to do that?

  My code needs to capture the 'src' of an image in a variable. It then needs to insert this variable into a 'href' tag on a link which surrounds the image. My code is as follows: $('.fancybox-image-li img').each(function(test) { var test = $(this).attr("src"); $('.fancybox-image-link').attr('href', ''+test+''); }); Unfortunately what seems to be happening is the 'test' var is only getting the attribute of the last img and then inserting this into all the 'href' attributes. Any ideas how I can get the variable to change per image. Cheers!

• why does the data property in an jquery ajax call override my return false?

  hi, i have the following block of code: $("#contact_container form, #contact_details form").live( "submit", function(event) { $.ajax({ type: this.method, url: this.action, data: this.serialize(), success: function(data) { data = $(data).find("#content"); $("#contact_details").html(data); }, }); return false; } ; when i leave out the data: this.serialize(), it behaves properly and displays the response within the #contact_details div. however, when i leave it in, it submits the form, causing the page to navigate away. why does the presence of the data attribute negates the return false? (probably due to a bug that i can't spot...) also, is the syntax to my find statement correct? it comes back as "undefined" even though i use a debugger to check the ajax response and that id does exists. thanks, steve

  I have sets of links with id and name attributes, id for individual identifiers and names for groupings. In my jQuery, I have a click function that manipulates the CSS based on what a user clicks on. But I want to start the freshly loaded page with some of the links disabled (no href attribute) and with a style applied.   So friends I am trying to use prettyPhoto in my wordpress theme but its not working at all. Both of its files - prettyPhoto.css and jquery.prettyPhoto.js are correctly linked in header.php file.   In .NET, one can specify a "mustoverride" attribute to a method in a particular superclass to ensure that subclasses override that particular method. I was wondering whether anybody has a custom java annotation that could achieve the same effect. Essentially what i want is to push for subclasses to override a method in a superclass that itself has some logic that must be run-through. I dont want to use abstract methods or interfaces, because i want some common functionality to be run in the super method, but more-or-less produce a compiler warning/error denoting that derivative classes should override a given method.
