    Sorry for the noobie and stupid question, but I know only a bit about css and I don't know how to style my site. Here is my code: HTML (Twig) : <div class="wrap"> <div> <img class="birthday" src="http://www.clker.com/cliparts/1/d/a/6/11970917161615154558carlitos_Balloons.svg.med.png"> <div class="try"> This friends have brithday today: {% for bd in birthdays %} <p> <a href="{{ path('friend_id', {'id': bd.id}) }}">{{ bd.name }}</a> <span class="years"> ({{ bd.years }} years) </span> </p> {% endfor %} </div> </div> </div> CSS: body { background-color: #FFFFF1; text-align: center; font-size: 17px; font-family: Tahoma, Geneva, sans-serif; } p { margin: 10px; } a { text-decoration: none; color: #6a9211; } a:hover { text-decoration: underline; } .wrap { width: 700px; margin: auto; } .birthday { width: 49px; height: 80px; float: left; margin-left: 150px; display: block; } .try { display: block; margin-right: 150px; margin-bottom: 50px; } .years { font-size: 12px; } And this is what I get.     - by Sriyani Rathnayaka

  • dynamically bound elements don't subscribe to CSS rules

    - by user961627
    I'm using ajax to dynamically populate a menu. The problem is the dynamically created elements do not follow the CSS rules, although they're created with the right classname. This is surprising. Here's my HTML: <div id='menu1'> <ul class='menu'> <?php $sql = /// /* some sql string, which works */ $result = mysql_query($sql); while($row = mysql_fetch_array( $result )) { $prod_id = $row['product_id']; $prod_name = $row['product_name']; echo "<li data-title='$prod_id' class='menu1_item'>".$prod_name."</li> "; } ?> </ul> </div> <div id='menu2'> <ul class='menu'> </ul> </div> <div id='menu3'> <ul class='menu'> </ul> </div> Here's my jquery: $(".menu1_item").click( function() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", data: { m: '2', id: $(this).attr('data-title') }, url: "fetch_designs.php", success: function(msg){ if (msg != ''){ $("#menu2").html(msg).show(); $(".menu2_item").bind('click',function() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", data: { m: '3', id: $(this).attr('data-title') }, url: "fetch_designs.php", success: function(msg){ if (msg != ''){ $("#menu3").html(msg).show(); } } }); //end menu2 click }); //end if } //end success } }); //end menu1 click }); My CSS is as follows: ul.menu li { cursor:pointer; list-style: none; } #menu1, #menu2, #menu3 { margin:50px; position:relative; display:block; float:left; } .menu1-item .menu2-item .menu3-item { padding:4px; background-color:lightgray; color:black; cursor:pointer; }

  • Detecting Markers Using OpenCV

    - by Hamza Yerlikaya
    I am trying to detect various objects containing colored markers, so a red blue green marker identifies object A, and a red blue red marker identifies object B. My problem is I can't use template matching cause objects can be rotated, currently I am thinking about check for each color then find the object by checking the distance between colors but it seems inefficient, so my question is there a better way to do this?

  • iPhone post-processing with a single FBO with Opengl ES 2.0?

    - by Jing
    I am trying to implement post-processing (blur, bloom, etc.) on the iPhone using OpenGL ES 2.0. I am running into some issues. When rendering during my second rendering step, I end up drawing a completely black quad to the screen instead of the scene (it appears that the texture data is missing) so I am wondering if the cause is using a single FBO. Is it incorrect to use a single FBO in the following fashion? For the first pass (regular scene rendering), I attach a texture as COLOR_ATTACHMENT_0 and render to a texture. glFramebufferTexture2D(GL_FRAMEBUFFER, GL_COLOR_ATTACHMENT0, GL_TEXTURE_2D, texturebuffer, 0) For the second pass (post-processing), I attach the color renderbuffer to COLOR_ATTACHMENT_0 glFramebufferRenderbuffer(GL_FRAMEBUFFER, GL_COLOR_ATTACHMENT0, GL_RENDERBUFFER, colorRenderbuffer) Then use the texture from the first pass for rendering as a quad on the screen.

  • What is the initiating actor for the usecase shown here

    - by Illep
    I am new to drawing use case and writing use case descriptions. I have an Actor called User , an abstract usecase called Work Type and another use case called Manager. The usecase Manager has a generalized relationship with the Work Type use case. I'm now writing the use case description for Manager use case. And what is the initiating Actor for this use case. Is it the Actor User ? or doesn't it have an initiating Actor ? Note: I only want to know the initiating Actor for the use case Manager

  • opacity in ie using absolutely positioned divs not working

    - by camomileCase
    I've been banging my head against the wall for a few hours how trying to sort this out. I'm trying to position one div on top of another for the purpose of fading one in on top of the other. The divs will have an image and some other html in them. I cannot get opacity to work in ie8. I've simplified my html as much as possible: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <style> * { margin: 0; padding: 0; } .carousel-container { position: relative; } .carousel-overlay { position: absolute; } #carousel-container-a { opacity: 1; -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=100)"; filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=100); } #carousel-container-b { opacity: 0; -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=0)"; filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=0); } h1 { font-size: 100px; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="carousel-container-a" class="carousel-container"> <div class="carousel-overlay" style="left: 10px; top: 10px;"> <h1 style="color: black;">Showcase</h1> </div> <!-- other elements removed for simplicity --> </div> <div id="carousel-container-b" class="carousel-container"> <div class="carousel-overlay" style="left: 20px; top: 20px;"> <h1 style="color: red;">Welcome</h1> </div> <!-- other elements removed for simplicity --> </div> </body> </html> Why doesn't the opacity work? How can I make it work?

  • How to manage changes to reports in .NET?

    - by Craig Johnston
    If I need to offer the ability to create, view and print reports from a .NET app, I see that there are 2 options: use a reporting component such as Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportViewer or Crystal Reports which saves a .rpt or similar template file that can be modified as required without having to re-compile the app use System.Drawing.Printing for reporting and store report template data in a database, which keeps things simpler and avoids problems with bulky third party reporting components If I want to be able to modify a report template (which would include layout and data fields) without having to re-compile the app, would the first option above achieve this? If I wanted to be able to modify the template without re-compiling the app, how could this be achieved with the second option? How could you store data representing the templates in a database such that it could be modified without having to re-compile the app?

  • I'm having trouble traversing a newly appended DOM element with jQuery

    - by culov
    I have a form that I want to be used to add entries. Once an entry is added, the original form should be reset to prepare it for the next entry, and the saved form should be duplicated prior to resetting and appended onto a div for 'storedEntries.' This much is working (for the most part), but Im having trouble accessing the newly created form... I need to change the value attribute of the submit button from 'add' to 'edit' so properly communicate what clicking that button should do. heres my form: <div class="newTruck"> <form id="addNewTruck" class='updateschedule' action="javascript:sub(sTime.value, eTime.value, lat.value, lng.value, street.value);"> <b style="color:green;">Opening at: </b> <input id="sTime" name="sTime" title="Opening time" value="Click to set opening time" class="datetimepicker"/> <b style="color:red;">Closing at: </b> <input id="eTime" name= "eTime" title="Closing time" value="Click to set closing time" class="datetimepicker"/> <label for='street'>Address</label> <input type='text' name='street' id='street' class='text' autocomplete='off'/> <input id='submit' class='submit' style="cursor: pointer; cursor: hand;" type="submit" value='Add new stop'/> <div id='suggests' class='auto_complete' style='display:none'></div> <input type='hidden' name='lat' id='lat'/> <input type='hidden' name='lng' id='lng'/> ive tried using a hundred different selectors with jquery to no avail... heres my script as it stands: function cloneAndClear(){ var id = name+now; $j("#addNewTruck").clone(true).attr("id",id).appendTo(".scheduledTrucks"); $j('#'+id).filter('#submit').attr('value', 'Edit'); $j("#addNewTruck")[0].reset(); createPickers(); } the element is properly cloned and inserted into the div, but i cant find a way to access this element... the third line in the script never works. Another problem i am having is that the 'values' in the cloned form revert back to the value in the source of the html rather than what the user inputs. advice on how to solve either of these issues is greatly appreciated!

  • Best direction for displaying game graphics in C# App

    - by Mike Webb
    I am making a small game as sort of a test project, nothing major. I just started and am working on the graphics piece, but I'm not sure the best way to draw the graphics to the screen. It is going to be sort of like the old Zelda, so pretty simple using bitmaps and such. I started thinking that I could just paint to a Picture Box control using Drawing.Graphics with the Handle from the control, but this seems cumbersome. I'm also not sure if I can use double buffering with this method either. I looked at XNA, but for now I wanted to use a simple method to display everything. So, my question. Using the current C# windows controls and framework, what is the best approach to displaying game graphics (i.e. Picture Box, build a custom control, etc.)

  • Highlight certain choices in a combo box

    - by calico-cat
    I've got a dropdown box with some items in it that are more popular than others, and I'd like those to have a different background colour (say, Color.AliceBlue) when the combobox is expanded. I see BackColor but is there a way to apply background colour to just a single item?

  • Mono Ignores Graphics.InterpolationMode?

    - by Timothy Baldridge
    I have a program that draws some vector graphics using System.Drawing and the Graphics class. The anti-aliasing works, kindof okay, but for my need I neede oversampling, so I create the starting image to be n times larger and then scale back the final image by n. On Window and .NET the resulting image looks great! However, on Mono 2.4.2.3 (Ubuntu 9.10 stock install), the intropolation is horrible. Here's how I'm scaling my images: Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(Bmp.Width / OverSampling, Bmp.Height / OverSampling); Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(bmp); g.InterpolationMode = InterpolationMode.HighQualityBicubic; g.DrawImage(Bmp, 0, 0, bmp.Width, bmp.Height); g.Dispose(); From what I can tell there is no interpolation happening at all. Any ideas?

  • How can I set opacity of the reflection when using -webkit-box-reflect?

    - by Mike Palmer
    I've been playing with the -webkit-box-reflect property in Chrome and can achieve a reflection that fades with the following code (it's example code from the Webkit blog): -webkit-box-reflect: below 5px -webkit-gradient( linear, left top, left bottom, from(transparent), color-stop(0.5, transparent), to(white) ); Problem is, I want to set the opacity for the mask to a more subtle setting, but it seems to be choking on rgba(). Has anybody been able to successfully get different levels of opacity? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

  • OpenGL, how to set a monocrome texture to a colored shape?

    - by Santiago
    I'm developing on Android with OpenGL ES, I draw some cubes and I change its colors with glColor4f. Now, what I want is to give a more realistic effect on the cubes, so I create a monochromatic 8bit depth, 64x64 pixel size PNG file. I loaded on a texture, and here is my problem, witch is the way to combine the color and the texture to get a colorized and textured cubes onto the screen? I'm not an expert on OpenGL, I tried this: On create: public void asignBitmap(GL10 gl, Bitmap bitmap) { int[] textures = new int[1]; gl.glGenTextures(1, textures, 0); mTexture = textures[0]; gl.glBindTexture(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D, mTexture); gl.glTexParameterf(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL10.GL_TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER, GL10.GL_NEAREST); gl.glTexParameterf(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL10.GL_TEXTURE_MAG_FILTER, GL10.GL_LINEAR); gl.glTexParameterf(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL10.GL_TEXTURE_WRAP_S, GL10.GL_CLAMP_TO_EDGE); gl.glTexParameterf(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL10.GL_TEXTURE_WRAP_T, GL10.GL_CLAMP_TO_EDGE); gl.glTexEnvf(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_ENV, GL10.GL_TEXTURE_ENV_MODE, GL10.GL_REPLACE); GLUtils.texImage2D(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, GL10.GL_ALPHA, bitmap, 0); ByteBuffer tbb = ByteBuffer.allocateDirect(texCoords.length * 4); tbb.order(ByteOrder.nativeOrder()); mTexBuffer = tbb.asFloatBuffer(); for (int i = 0; i < 48; i++) mTexBuffer.put(texCoords[i]); mTexBuffer.position(0); } And OnDraw: public void draw(GL10 gl, int alphawires) { gl.glColor4f(1.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f, 0.5f); //RED gl.glBindTexture(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D, mTexture); gl.glBlendFunc(GL10.GL_SRC_ALPHA, GL10.GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA); gl.glEnable(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D); gl.glEnable(GL10.GL_BLEND); gl.glEnableClientState(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_COORD_ARRAY); gl.glTexCoordPointer(2, GL10.GL_FLOAT, 0, mTexBuffer); //Set the face rotation gl.glFrontFace(GL10.GL_CW); //Point to our buffers gl.glVertexPointer(3, GL10.GL_FLOAT, 0, vertexBuffer); //Enable the vertex and color state gl.glEnableClientState(GL10.GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); //Draw the vertices as triangles, based on the Index Buffer information gl.glDrawElements(GL10.GL_TRIANGLES, 36, GL10.GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, indexBuffer); //Disable the client state before leaving gl.glDisableClientState(GL10.GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); gl.glDisableClientState(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_COORD_ARRAY); gl.glDisable(GL10.GL_BLEND); gl.glDisable(GL10.GL_TEXTURE_2D); } I'm even not sure if I have to use a blend option, because I don't need transparency, but is a plus :) Thank's

  • Little CSS problem with Auto height and nested div's

    - by GeekDrop.com
    So I'm finally learning my way around CSS more and have run into a small problem. I have a container div, with a few divs inside of it, one of them is a bit if text (which can be a random height) and an image that will have a MAX height of 200px. I am using a dotted/colored background behind them that needs to auto expand to the height of whichever is the tallest, either the text or the image. Right now when i use height:auto on the container div it works perfect for the random height text: Example Screenshot But it's only adjusting according to the text's height; if the image is taller than the text, the image overflows the bottom of the background dotted/colored box. Example Screenshot The CSS I'm using currently is this: h1 div#like_detailed { margin: 0; font-size: 1.1em; width: 700px; } #details-image img { border: none; clear: left; float: right; margin: -45px 0 0 0; max-height: 200px; padding: 0 7px 0 10px; } #deets-container { background-color: #FEF; border: #190AE7 1px dotted; height: auto; margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 30px; padding-top: 10px; padding-right: 10px; padding-left: 10px; padding-bottom: 0; } And the HTML for it is this: <div id="deets-container" class="rounded"> <!-- Button --> <div class="likebtnframe">(some code)</div> <!-- Button --> <div class="tweetbtnframe">(some code)</div> <!-- Button --> <ul id="share"> <li><a name="share">(some code)</a></li> </ul> <!-- Submitted By --> <div class="submitter_detailed"><span class="submitter-color smalltext">(some code)</span> (some code)</div> <!-- Image --> <div id="**details-image**">(some code)</div> <!-- Like / Quote --> <h1 id="**like_detailed**">(some code)</h1> </div> I have a feeling this is pretty easy but I'm running out of time to sort it out on my own. Anyone?

  • jQuery .live() not working.

    - by Silvio Iannone
    Hi there, my actual problem is that .live() jQuery method is not working. This si the code where i use it: jQuery.fn.sb_animateMenuItem = function() { var mousehoverColor = '#0089F7'; var duration = 250; return this.each(function() { var originalColor = $(this).css('background-color'); $(this).live('mouseover', function() { this.style.cursor = 'pointer'; $(this).animate().stop(); $(this).animate( { backgroundColor: mousehoverColor }, duration); }); $(this).live('mouseout', function() { this.style.cursor = 'default'; $(this).animate( { backgroundColor: originalColor }, duration); }); }); }; This snipped is used i another page in this way: <script type="text/javascript" src="ui/js/jquery-1.4.2.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="ui/js/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="ui/js/color.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="engine/js/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="ui/js/ui.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> // UI effects $(document).ready(function() { $('button').sb_animateButton(); $('input').sb_animateInput(); $('.top_menu_item').sb_animateMenuItem(); $('.top_menu_item_right').sb_animateMenuItem(); $('.left_menu_item').sb_animateMenuItem(); }); </script> Since my site uses AJAX requests i used the .live method in the first snippet, but when i load the page the effects are not applied the the button/input... tags. If i remove the .live method and use the 'normal' way, ui effects defined in the first snipped are applied but only the the elements loaded before any AJAX request. The elements loaded after the ajax request are not affected by first snippet (though they have the same selector). Thanks for helping.
