  • How should I lay-out my PHP login class?

    So, there is going to be one login form; however 1 of 3 types of members will be signing in member_type_a, member_type_b, member_type_c all of whom have some of the same properties, and some whom may have specific methods and/or properties to them. I want the class to be saved to a session variable for use with member area pages. Any suggestions on applicable design patterns?

  • Allow alphanumeric, punctuation, and spaces

    I'm pretty new to regular expressions, and MAN do they give me a headache. They are so intimidating! For an email campaign I'm doing, a user will click a link out of the email with a few URL parameters filled in for them, to make filling out a form easier. I want to prevent any injection hacks or whatever it's called, but need to allow the $_GET parameters to be alphanumeric, have punctuation, and have spaces. If someone has a good method for this, I'd appreciate it, but right now I have: foreach($_GET as $m=>$n) { $get[$m] = preg_replace('(^[a-z0-9 \-\_\.]+)i',' ',$n); } I would like to be able to replace all characters NOT found with this regular expression, which I believe I use ?!, but I can't get that to work either. Any help in getting this to work would be appreciated!

    I'm building a new site that consists entirely of: 8-10 pages of static content that rarely changes (like once every few months or once every year) An image gallery Since I don't plan to be the primary maintainer of the site, I'd like to use a CMS with some security and a WYSIWYG editor so non-web-savvy people can tweak the site when necessary. I started out using Drupal, but started wondering if it was overkill. So, two questions: 1) is it overkill? 2) What CMS would you recommend for a project this simple?

  • Erlang: configuring cover via rebar

    My project is using a websocket server. Only for testing purposes, I also have an erlang websocket client implementation which resides in the test/ folder along with the tests. Now, when I run the tests via rebar with {cover_enabled, true} in my rebar.config, I also get coverage reported for the modules of the websocket client. I don't want this in my reports. Cover documentation says I should create a cover specification file containing {excl_mods, [websocket_client]}. But how do I convince rebar to use this file?   • Easy way to determine what content is not delivered using a secure HTTPS connection?

    I have some pages that are sent via HTTPS. Internet Explorer sometimes complains about "This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS". I looked in the html source to confirm all content calls (href, src, etc...) are sent via https. My CSS files use relative paths. But I'm still getting these warnings. Is there an easy way to track down which items are not sent via HTTPS?

    Hi I need to restric access to my admin folder to certain people. Those with no authentication ticket should be redirectered to a "not allowed page". How do I identify all pages in my admin folder. I have so far but is it OK? If url.Contains("/admin") Then 'If authentication ticket incorrect then `Response.Redirect("~/notallowed_admin.aspx")` End If And not, I cannot use my web.config for this particular issue.     I want to send the below data to default.ctp, I want to display menus in all the pages, I'm using Auth, The problem is if I'm logged in I get the Menus correctly, but if I logout, I'm getting error saying variable'$topMenu' not found. The MenuController can be accessed only if logged in. $this->loadModel('Menu'); $this->set('topMenu',$this->Menu->find('all')); Any help on how to solve this?

    Hi there I made the mistake of using == for comparing IP addresses instead of using the equals() method of the IPAddress class in C#, which will result in the comparison of references instead of values. Since the solution I am currently working on is very large for a one-man project ( 100.000 lines of source code), I am very sure that I still have some of these wrong statements in my code. Is there any possibility to tell Visual Studio to find all occurrences of == operations on a specific class for me, so that I can find and clean up the bugged comparisons? with best regards, emi
