Hi,
Is it possible to configure Solr so that the document similarity score would be in the range for example from 0 (no match) to 1 (complete document and query match).
Thanks!
I'm very newbie in ruby and need your help.
I must save a "Topic" and make it like this :
@topic = Topic.new(params[:topic])
But I would like to pass an other information to this topic. It has a field "community_id" that link it to a community.
The logged user has this information on his table.
How can I pass the "community_id" from the logged user to the "community_id" of the "topic" created ?
thx for your help
I've created a login page and registration page and now I want to use that to password protect pages and have pages which show information specific to that user.
Would storing the user ID of the user logged in in a Session variable be a safe and correct way of doing this?
How easy would it be for a user to change the session variable to a different ID and access another user's information, and not having to type the users login details in?
Hello
I am interested about how SharePoint 2010 saves.
Does it do incremental / transactional saves? In other words, when you edit a document, does it save a whole new document, or does it only actually save the edited portions?
This to me is very important and could sway whether or not I get it.

I am writing a document class for LaTeX and I want it to be generic. In this document class I redefine the \maketitle command to display a custom title page, and here I want to display some information, like the title, author, etc., but also some other informations. Here is how I display the title:
{\LARGE{\bf \@title}}\\
I'd like to create a new command that works similarly to \title or \author, how can I do that?
I'm currently researching the best way to approach building a javascript widget someone can embed on their site, which would retrieve and display information from an external MySQL database.
The gist of the widget would mimic the needs/functionality of Twitter's widget (http://twitter.com/about/resources/widgets), where it uses some combination of JS, PHP and/or AJAX and retrieves information from a MySQL DB with secure (or at least somewhat safe) cross-browser access. Thoughts or ideas on the best and most reliable way to approach something like this?
Consider the following:
ThreadA and ThreadB are two threads writing diagnostic information to a common object which stores a list of diagnostic information. Is it possible for ThreadA and ThreadB to write to the same memory address at the same time? If so what would result?

Hello,
I am collecting as information as possible about http(s) session attacks.
There is a plenty of information about existing attacks, but, i would like to know if some new breeds of attacks are now made possible either by security flaws in popular software or technologies or by new smarter security engineering.
Do you have some recommendations about new techniques or tools ?
Thanks,
Hi, I am using this code to refresh the data inside of the div:
<script>
$(function() {
$("#refresh").click(function() {
$("#new").load("/new.php")
})
})
</script>
Except it loads the who page inside of the div, instead of just the information that is inside of the div.
How do I make it refresh only the data that is inside of the div? Is there a way of doing it other than putting the information for that div in a seperate page?
I'm trying to save some text inside an environment for later use. The smallest test case I could come up with is this. The saved text in the sbox isn't available after the environment is closed. How can I work around that? Thanks.
\documentclass{article}
\begin{document}
\newsavebox{\somebox}
\begin{itemize}
\item hello1
\item hello1 \sbox{\somebox}{Some text}
\end{itemize}
This should show something, but does not: "\usebox{\somebox}"
\end{document}

How do I remove collapsible frames - "Authoring information","Revision information", "Publishing Options" - from content creation page? For what is worth, I'm logging in as a regular user and I don't want these controls to be presented to regular users.
I have one number that has something related to the currentdate :
634101448539930000
634101448627430000 (this information was took 9 seconds later than the first one)
I have many codes like this and I need to know what those number means. It's something related to the current time, because the new information has always a bigger number than the older ones.
Please if anybody could help me, thanks
I'm working on a customized calculator, which is working pretty well except that I can't figure out how to get the generated numbers to display commas within the number. For example, it might spit out "450000" when I need it to say "450,000". This thread gives a number of suggestions on how to create a new function to deal with the problem, but I'm rather new to JavaScript and I don't really know how to make such a function interact with what I have now. I'd really appreciate any help as to how to get generated numbers with commas! :)
HTML:
<table id="inputValues">
<tr>
<td>Percentage:</td>
<td><input id="sempPer" type="text"></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Price:</td>
<td><input id="unitPrice" type="text"></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2"><input id="button" type="submit" value="Calculate"></td>
</tr>
</table>
<table id="revenue" class="TFtable">
<tr>
<td class="bold">Market Share</td>
<td class="bold">Partner A</td>
<td class="bold">Partner B</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="bold">1%</td>
<td><span id="moss1"></span></td>
<td><span id="semp1"></span></td>
</tr>
</table>
</form>
JavaScript:
<script>
function calc() {
var z = Number(document.getElementById('sempPer').value);
var x = Number(document.getElementById('unitPrice').value);
var y = z / 100;
var dm1 = .01 * 50000 * x * (1-y);
var se1 = .01 * 50000 * x * y;
document.getElementById("moss1").innerHTML= "$"+Number(dm1).toFixed(2);
document.getElementById("semp1").innerHTML= "$"+Number(se1).toFixed(2);
}
</script>
All I can find information on for the URLLoader object in Actionsript 3.0 involves loading XML files, which I don't want to do. I'm trying to load in a .txt file that I want to parse, line by line with each line being delimited by a comma. Anyone know a method of doing this or a place where I can find some information on how to do this? Thanks!
Hello
I'm looking for a tool which will allow me to automate the task of obscuring a certain section of content contained within a PDF. The PDF content is essentially one big image which contains some sensitive information, and it is this information we need to ensure is not readable.
Any tips for where I should start looking for such a solution?
Many thanks
M
