  I have geography pages for two types of business listings. Each page goes from state, county, city, but I need to have the same geography shared between two types of business. My two business types are dentist and chiropractors. I am trying to have a permalink structure like this: enter code here xyz.com/dentist/alabama enter code here xyz.com/dentist/alabama/polk-county/ enter code here xyz.com/chiropractors/alabama/ enter code here xyz.com/chiropractors/alabama/polk-county/ I originally was going to load the geography as pages and subpages, but with that method I cannot get the permalink separated by the type chiropractor and dentist. So now I have created a custom post type one for chiropractor and one for dentist which give me the permalink xyz.com/dentist and xyz.com/chiropractor. My question is now how to handle my category geography page. I was wondering if in wordpress it is possible to create a shell page such as xyz.com/dentist/[state]/ and then through php dynamically build a page for each state? So where it shows [state] it will be replaced with the actual state such as alabama, california etc when that specific page is viewed. But the shell page is just 1 page in the database. If so could someone give me a basic explanation on how to instruct a programmer to do this? Thank you.

  Actually i am trying to make a PHP MVC like application. A basic one. The current milestone i am reaching already includes: Basic RESTful Routing Means, if i type: www.example.com/items/book/8888 .. it properly just stays there as it is and i can already slice out the URL by slashes / and loads the responsible Controllers .... etc from the top single index.php file. I mean, so it is OK for the backend PHP. But the only problem is, it still CAN NOT process the REWRITES properly. For example, the CSS & JS are BROKEN as if i VIEW PAGE SOURCE of the page www.example.com/items/book/8888, the asset files are being called as: www.example.com/items/book/8888/css/main.css www.example.com/items/book/8888/js/jquery.js .. which really are PROBLEMS because in the code is like: <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="css/main.css"> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery.js"></script> So the question is: How can i use Apache REWRITE (or whatever approach) to make sure every ASSET FILES to be correctly being called from the DOCROOT. For example, if i am in the URL: www.example.com/items/book/8888 My ASSET FILES should still be called as: www.example.com/css/main.css www.example.com/js/jquery.js Or is there any other methods i need to follow? • Problem with bluetooth on android 2.1 (samsung spica i5700) where pairing works but connection does

  I have a Samsung Spica i5700 which I already have updated to Android 2.1. I am using the phone with an application called Run.GPS (http://www.rungps.net). This application logs data such as GPS position, route, speed, bearing etc. It can also log heartrate provided the user has a Zephyr HxM bluetooth heart rate monitor ("HxM"), which I do have. I can pair the HxM to the phone through the standard bluetooth utility. I'm prompted for the PIN, which I enter and the device is shown as 'Paired but not connected'. In the Run.GPS application itself, I click on 'Connect Heartrate Monitor'. This times out after about 30 seconds and the error message is 'Could not connect to heartrate monitor. Please try other settings'. I used a friend's HTC Windows Mobile as a control device to see if the HxM works there. It does. The Run.GPS application automatically sets the baud rate (initially to 9600 IIRC, though the connection also worked with higher baud rates) and it is possible to choose between various COM ports as well as a .Net COM port. I did some testing on my Spica Android, to try to find out why the bluetooth connection doesn't work. Below are some log files that I connected over adb when I clicked on 'Connect to Heartrate Monitor' in the Run.GPS application. I would be interested in any tips (including if I'm posting to the wrong forum here ;-)) - whether or not it's possible to experiment with the baud rate in Android etc. I still don't know if the problem is with the Run.GPS application (I've posted already on the development forum there) or with Android 2.1. I checked out another application - Endomondo - which is also a sport tracking application which supports heartrate monitor only with the HxM. There, what looked like exactly the same error occurred - I clicked on 'Connect Zephyr HxM'. For a few seconds I was shown the 'Connecting...' status, but then it timed out into 'Not Connected'. I'm thus tending towards looking at Android for the problem.   I just installed Visual Studio 2010 yesterday. As part of that I installed VSTO 4.0. Now when I run any Office application, my VSTO 3.0 addins fail to load. The error in the event log is Customization URI: file:///H:/PathToMyAddin/MyAddin.vsto Exception: Customization does not have the permissions required to create an application domain. ***** Exception Text ******* Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Runtime.CannotCreateCustomizationDomainException: Customization does not have the permissions required to create an application domain. --- System.Security.SecurityException: Customized functionality in this application will not work because the administrator has listed file:///H:/PathToMyAddin/MyAddin.vsto as untrusted.   I have a J2EE application running on an IBM Websphere Application Server on a Windows Operating System. • CSS Dropdown Menu issues

  Can anyone help with a small problem. I've got a nice simple CSS dropdown menu http://www.cinderellahair.co.uk/new/CSSDropdown.html The problem I have is when you rollover a menu item that has children which are wider than the content, it pushes the whole menu right. Aside of shortening the child menu links down, is there any tweak I can make to my CSS to stop this happening? • How does one close a Popup in Silverlight 3 by pressing the Escape key?

  I've just implemented a context menu control in Silverlight 3. One feature lacking in this control is for the Esc key to dismiss the menu. I've tried adding a KeyUp event handler in a few places, but the handler is never called. It looks like KeyUp is only available for items that can have focus. The popup menu cannot have focus, however, as it is only an ItemsControl. Have any of you successfully implemented having the Esc key close a Popup, or do you have any other suggestions on how I can implement this behavior?

  I have this RichTextbox in my vb.net form and I would like to when a user click a button, for example to embold the selected text, how would I do this. Also, I do NOT want to use the standard vb.net expressions such as RichTextBox1.SelectedText.Font.Bold = true. I want to do something like RichTextbox1.SelectedRTF="[bold]" & RichTextBox1.SelectedRTF & "[/bold]" or whatever RTF looks like. Can I just add the RTF options random places or can a RichTextBox return an error if the text is in wrong format. I'm mostly looking for info on how to work with RTF without using the standard vb expressions. Thank you very much for any help provided

• Cognos 8.3 - date prompt macro problem

  In Report Studio 8.3, I've got this raw SQL query running against a MySQL 5.1 data source: SELECT enc.encounterID, enc.date FROM enc WHERE enc.date between #prompt('textPromptStartDate')# AND #prompt('textPromptEndDate', 'date')# This produces text prompts for the user. If the user enters dates into these prompts in the format of 'YYYY-MM-DD', e.g. '2010-01-15', the query works fine. But I want to replace the text prompts with proper Date prompts. When I try replacing the above prompts with #prompt('datePromptStartDate', 'date') AND #prompt('datePromptEndDate', 'date')# the query runs (no errors are generated), but I get an empty result set. I have a feeling I need to adjust the date format that the date prompt macro returns, but I'm stuck after many hours of experimentation as to how to debug this.

  I'm receiving this error message: Cannot open database \"Northwind\" requested by the login. The login failed.\r\nLogin failed for user 'Mike\Mike Simpson' When i try to add the user, which is me. Then sql server says Msg 15063, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 The login already has an account under a different user name. HEre is my connection string: "Data Source=Localhost;Initial Catalog=Northwind;Integrated Security=True" I'm using SSMS not SQL Server express I don't know what else I should do.   I recently started working for a web firm as a freelancer taking my hobby of coding in PHP to a career level, and since then I have been overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done within short time frames. The problem isn't being able to do what is asked, but being able to do it all as quickly as is needed of me. I never used any PHP frameworks, but if I started using one, would that speed up the entire development process? If so, how drastically? Also which framework would be best for my purpose? • Android: Saving custom button and spinner on orientation change

  Hello All, I am new to Android programming and was handed a fairly large program that is almost complete, but needed support for switching between portrait and landscape view. I added android:configChanges="keyboardHidden|orientation" to the manifest and used onConfigurationChanged to save the view data and that works. However, there is a button that displays the date selected (when pressed a calendar to select the date comes up) and a spinner that displays the current view and is used to select a new view. Those two items are being cleared/reset and do not work at all after the screen flip. I have been attempting to use onSaveInstanceState and onRestoreInstanceState to fix that, but I cannot figure out how to get it to work. Any advice? • Add Silverlight Bing Maps Control to Windows Mobile 7 application

  I know the bits just came out today, but one of the first things I want to do with the newly released Windows Mobile 7 SDK is put a map up on the screen and mess around. I've downloaded the latest version of the Silverlight Maps Control and added the references to my application. As a matter of fact, the VS 2010 design view of the MainPage.xaml shows the map control after adding the namespace and placing the control. I'm using the provided VS 2010 Express version that comes with the Win Mobile 7 SDK and have just used the New Project - Windows Phone Application template. When I try to build I get two warnings related to the Microsoft.Maps.MapControl dll's. Warning 1 The primary reference "Microsoft.Maps.MapControl, Version=1.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=498d0d22d7936b73, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the framework assembly "System.Windows.Browser, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e" which could not be resolved in the currently targeted framework. "Silverlight,Version=v4.0,Profile=WindowsPhone". To resolve this problem, either remove the reference "Microsoft.Maps.MapControl, Version=1.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=498d0d22d7936b73, processorArchitecture=MSIL" or retarget your application to a framework version which contains "System.Windows.Browser, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e". • Running multiprocess applications from MATLAB

  I've written a multitprocess application in VC++ and tried to execute it with command line arguments with the system command. It runs, but only on one core --- any suggestions? Update:In fact, it doesn't even see the second core. I used OpenMP and used omp_get_max_threads() and omp_get_thread_num() to check and omp_get_max_threads() seems to be 1 when I execute the application from MATLAB but it's 2 (as is expected) if I run it from the command window.

  Hi, Is there a way I can delete an image that is loaded into my app from a UIImagePickerController? I want to be able to delete the image from the user's photo library when the user performs a specific action. I am prompting the user to choose a image from their library, then it gets loaded into my app at which point the app does some shnazzy animation, then actually deletes the image. Please help!

• UIBarButtonItem: target-action not working?

  Hey fellas, I've got a custom view inside of a UIBarButtonItem, set by calling -initWithCustomView. OK, so the view renders fine, but when I tap it, it doesn't call the method that I set as the UIBarButtonItem's action property. Oh, and I have verified that my -deselectAll method works fine. • emacs elisp buffer not running font lock mode until opened by user

  My problem is I am opening a buffer using (set-buffer (find-tag-noselect (current-word))) and then I try to copy some text out of that buffer. The text that I get back has only the properties (fontified nil). find-tag-noselect automatically opens the buffer found in the TAGS file but it seems it does not run the font lock mode over it. When I manually switch to this buffer after it has been opened and then run the function again when it copies the text it has all the correct text properties attached. So what do I need to do to have this buffer completely initialized so that the correct syntax highlighting will be copied in?
