    I have been trying to highlight a radio button with CSS but have been unsuccessful to get styling to work in FireFox. I see some methods of using images to render highlighting. Is there a preferred way to handle radio button highlighting across multiple browsers? Example <input type="text" style="border-color:#FF0000"> <input type="radio" style="border-color:#FF0000"> The text box will have a border that is red but the radio button will not take the border color?

  • Tool to create unscaled call-out from a thumbnail image?

    I'm creating an online tutorial for some software and need to include screenshots. In particular, I want to highlight the position and appearance of a given control in a large screen. Given that I haven't got the space to show the screen at full resolution (at least, not alongside the tutorial text), I figured I would use a kind of call-out from a thumbnail. Here's my poor first effort, made in Paint.NET: Given how long this took me to craft, I'd really like to find a tool to speed things up (and make them look a little more professional!). Preferably a free one, too - or one that has a downloadable trial. The exact style it produces isn't that important, provided it achieves the desired effect. Can anyone help me out? Thanks, Mal. P.S. I'm using Windows Vista.

  • How can i pull an image and data from a Database?

    I am trying to pull data from a Database using C#.net and use a Foreach loop to make it visible on a page. Every time i run the code i only get one item that shows up when i know that there is at least 7 items in the DB. i have placed the code below for the C#.   • Need to override cascade style

    i have a style : .window .div { border:medium solid #000000; height:150px; background-color: #0099FF; } and then i have another style: #NewDiv { font:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 24px; height: 20px; border-bottom-width: medium; border-bottom-style: solid; border-bottom-color: #000000; } I need to put a #NewDiv div tag inside of window .div, BUT... #NewDiv must retain its own styling while sitting inside of window .div div tags. How do I do this? Currently when I try, #NewDiv takes on the same styling as window .div when i place it inside of it and i dont want that at all. Any suggestions?

  • Certain websites do not open. Instead a 1*1 image gets displayed

    When I try to visit certain websites like www.bidvertiser.com, www.buysellads.com, a white page shows up, the title bar displays the site name followed by (1x1) in brackets. When I right click, 'View Source' option appears disabled. The Save As.. option shows the file type to be gif. However, when I preview the site in Google search results ( by moving the mouse over ) the screenshot of the site displays well. This happens on all the three browsers on my computer: Chrome, Firefox and IE. What is the problem and how can it be resolved? EDIT: At some point of time, they probably worked on my computer! I think it is a more general problem. The same happens when I click on certain links in Google search results.

  • How to force client browser to download images from server rather using its cache

    Assume a simple aspx data entry page in which admin user can upload an image as well as some other data. They are stored in database and the next time admin visits that page to edit record, image data fetched and a preview generated and saved to disk (using GDI+) and the preview is shown in an image control. This procedure works fine for the first time however if the image changes (a new one uploaded) the next time the page is surfed it shows previously uploaded image. I debugged the application and everything works correct. The new image data is in database and new preview is stored in Temp location however the page shows previous one. If I refresh the page it shows the new image preview. I should mention that preview is always saved to disk with one name (id of each record as the name). I think that is because of IE and other browsers use client cache instead of loading images each time a page is surfed. I wonder if there is a way to force the client browser to refresh itself so the newly uploaded image is shown without user intervention. Thanks and appreciation in advance,

The data gets pulled from a DB and the image is based on whether or not that item is a favorite. One image for a favorite, a different image if not a favorite. I want the user to be able to toggle the image and make it a favorite or not.     I need to send an image from a file to a server. The server request the image in a resolution of 2400x2400. What I'm trying to do is: 1) Get a Bitmap using BitmapFactory.decodeFile using the correct inSampleSize. 2) Compress the image in JPEG with a quality of 40% 3) Encode the image in base64 4) Sent to the server I cannot achieve the first step, it throws an out of memory exception. I'm sure the inSampleSize is correct but I suppose even with inSampleSize the Bitmap is huge (around 30 MB in DDMS). Any ideas how can do it? Can I do these steps without created a bitmap object? I mean doing it on filesystem instead of RAM memory.     Hey guys, (Not a native english speaker) I'm doing a personal project in PHP in which I use the Simple HTML Parser to parse the HTML of a given URL and retrieve the first image in a DIV that have a specific ID or class (maincontent, content, main, wrapper, etc. - it's all in an array) and ignore ads. The goal is to take this image and make a thumbnail with it, pretty much like on Digg and others. I thought everything was working fine until I tried my script with the website Snopes ("http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/luckycoyote.asp" <- this page more exactly). The source of the first image it gets is: " graphics/luckycoyote1.jpg ". So far, to correct this problem I created a little function that gets the domain name of the given URL and insert it before the IMG's source attribute. So for sites like Snopes.com, it gives me: "http://www.snopes.com/graphics/luckycoyote1.jpg" ... while the real URL for this image is "http://www.snopes.com*/photos/animals/graphics/luckycoyote1.jpg*" (or, more precisely: " http://graphics1.snopes.com/photos/animals/graphics/luckycoyote1.jpg " - note the subdomain here). So my main question is: how can I externally/dynamically retrieve the full URL address of an image ("absolute path") when I am only given the "relative path"? I'm pretty sure this is possible, since when I paste the link in Facebook's "What are you doing?" field for example, it gives me the correct path to the image while on the website, the source of the image is only (example) "image/photo/example.jpg".   • Rounded corners, is this Mozilla specific?

    I was looking at how some site implemented rounded corners, and the CSS had these odd tags that I've never really seen before. -moz-border-radius-topright: 5px; -webkit-border-top-right-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 5px; -webkit-border-bottom-right-radius: 5px; I googled it, and they seem to be Firefox specific tags? Update The site I was looking at was twitter, it's wierd how a site like that would alienate their IE users.

  • How do I size a second div to be 100% height underneath a fixed image?

    I'm using semi-transparent PNGs (due to the designer's overlapping of elements) and trying to achieve a layout that represents the design while still working well on the web. Thus I have simple HTML: <div id="right"> <div id="welcome"></div> <div id="welcomeRepeatingBottom"></div> </div> And I'm trying to use CSS as follows: #right { height: 100%; position: absolute; right: 0px; top: 0px; width: 430px; } #welcome { background-image: url("welcome.png"); height: 614px; width: 430px; position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; } #welcomeRepeatingBottom { background: url("welcomeBottom.png") repeat-y; height: 100%; left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 614px; width: 430px; } The problem is...the #welcomeRepeatingBottom div can't overlap the #welcome div because of the transparency. What I really want is the #welcomeRepeatingBottom div to be height: 100% - 614px, but of course you can't do that. Am I missing something here or do I need to manipulate these values with JavaScript/JQuery?

Go to $MIDDLEWARE_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin  and execute . ./setDomainEnv.sh Collect the following information required to run the script: The JNDI name of the JMS queue to use In the WebLogic server console > Services > Messaging > JMS Modules > Module name, (e.g. TestJMSModule) > JMS queue name, (e.g. TestJMSQueue) select the queue and note its JNDI name, e.g. jms/TestJMSQueue The JNDI name of the connection factory to use to connect to the queue Follow the same path as above to get the connection factory for the above queue, e.g. TestConnectionFactory and its JNDI name e.g. jms/TestConnectionFactory The URL and port of the WebLogic server running the above queue Check the JMS server for the above queue and the managed server it is targeted to, for example soa_server1.
