exist for the emailaddress dont update data else create a user and update its profilexml from data fecthed from gedcom. for this i think i need some soln by which i can do only one roundtrip to database and can update all user's xml. or i can execute one sp to get userid from all users where i'll check if user exist then return userid else insert basic data and return inserted userid then for every user make xml from data and update it. please provide be suggestion what is best practice to do this kind of development. if need any more details please write me

• importing pywiiuse to test out

  This is probably a simple problem. But I downloaded the pywiiuse library from here and I also downloaded the examples. However when I try to run one of the examples I end up with import issues. I'm not certain I have everything configured properly to run. • Using of html5 <video> tag in web-based applications for iPhone

  As you know iPhone plays video content from < video tags in full-screen mode via internal media player. Here I have several questions: 1) is it possible to show custom text over video playing? something like subtitles appeared during movie playback. I tried several solutions like http://blog.gingertech.net/2008/12/12/attaching-subtitles-to-html5-video/, but seems they are not working in iPhone case. Ideally, I want to add some div over media player and show necessary information there. 2) is there any way to disable controls of iPhone media player. Seams it is not metter if you add "controls" attrinbute to < video tag or don't add, iPhone always switch on controls for media player. The goal for me is do not allow to user to change playback possition(user should see full movie from start to finish. Of course user can stop the video, but he can't rewind a record) Thanks for your help.

Basically, I was to overlay some text (text) at a given coordinate (x,y) I have the below function in a package; protected BufferedImage Process2(BufferedImage image){ Graphics2D gO = image.createGraphics(); gO.setColor(Color.red); gO.setFont(new Font( "SansSerif", Font.BOLD, 12 )); gO.drawString(this.text, this.x, this.y); System.err.println(this.text+this.x+this.y); return image; } I feel like im missing something patently obvious; every reference to Graphics2D I can find is dealing with either games or writing directly to a file but I just want a BufferedImage returned. with the overlay 'rendered' In the current code, the image appears out the end unchanged. • Outbound traffic being blocked for MIP/VIPped servers (Juniper SSG5)

  As we've been having some problems with sporadic packet loss, I've been preparing a replacement router (also an SSG5) for our current Juniper SSG5. I've setup the new SSG5 identically to the old one. We have a /29 IP range with a single IP setup as a MIP map to a server and two others being used for VIP maps. Each VIP/MIP is accompanied by relevant policies. Long story short - we tried connected the new SSG5 and some things were not working as they should. No problem, I just reconnected the old one. However, some things are still broken, even when I reconnected the old one. I fear I may have inadvertently changed some settings while browsing through old settings in my attempt to reconfigure the new SSG5 unit. All inbound traffic seems to work as expected. However, the 192.168.2.202 server can't initiate any outbound connections. It works perfectly on the local network, but any pings or DNS lookups to external IP's fail. The MIP & VIP map to it works perfectly - I can access it through HTTP and RDP without issues. Any tips on what to debug, or where I've messed up my config? • Need advice on speeding up tableViewCell photo loading performance

  I have around 20 tableview cells that each contain a number (2-5) thumbnail sized pictures (they are VERY small Facebook profile pictures, ex. http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-sf2p/hs254.snc3/23133_201668_2989_q.jpg). Each picture is an UIImageView added to the cell's contentview. Scrolling performance is poor, and measuring the draw time I've found the UIImage rendering is the bottleneck. I've researched/thought of some solutions but as I am new to iphone development I am not sure which strategy to pursue: preload all the images and retrieve them from disk instead of URL when drawing cells (I'm not sure if cell drawing will still be slow, so I want to hold off on the time investment here) Have the cells display a placeholder image from disk, while the picture is asynchronously loaded (this seems to be the best solution, but I'm currently not sure exactly how to do best do this) There's the fast drawing recommendation from Tweetie, but I don't know that will have much affect if it turns out my overhead is in network loading (http://blog.atebits.com/2008/12/fast-scrolling-in-tweetie-with-uitableview/) Thoughts/implementation advice?   I'm wondering what is the best way to model something like the following. Lets say my company sells metal bars (parameters/fields are: length, profile_type, quantity etc.) of different profiles, where profiles may be pipe(pipe_diameter, wall_thickness) or hollow_rectangle(base, height, wall_thickness), or maybe some other profile with different parameters. Lets say maximum number of profiles would be 12, each profile having between 2-5 parameters. Should everything be in a single table like table_bars: id, length, quantity, profile_type, pipe_diameter, wall_thickness, base, height, etc.) where profile type would be (pipe, rectangle etc.) or should every shape have its own table with its own parameters and in table_bars keep only id, length, quantity profile_type and profile_id) and are there any django specific issues is multiple tables are the best answer? • How do continuously update data to an asp page?

  Hi, I have an asp page based on a very simple database. It references a single table of probably 30 records and maybe 12 data fields and everything works great as I am only uploading a new database every week or so. I have a special circumstance where I would like upload new data to the database and display automatically on the page every 20 to 30 seconds without the user having to refresh their screen. I would expect up to 1000 concurrent users accessing the data. I have been manually uploading the database via ftp, which will obviously not work on this timeline and would also run the risk of error pages as the database is being replaced. So, can anyone point me the right direction to setup this scenario? Other details that might be helpful: The database is an Access database (but I could change to another format if needed) Running on Windows platform hosted by an ISP, not my own server Thanks in advance for any help on this! How can I do this in SQL (MS SQL Server 2005)? Help will be much appreciated!

  Hi Guys, This is PresentModelViewController, when click a button i will get this "DoctorListViewController" controller from down. object allocation are not releasing in this controller specially in cellForRowAtIndexPath delegate method. UITableViewCell and two labels allocated in this is not releasing.   Hi guys, I'm using GTK Sharp to work on some GUI for my app. Take a look at this chunk of code: Pango.FontDescription fontdesc = new Pango.FontDescription(); fontdesc.Family = "Sans"; //fontdesc.Size = 12; fontdesc.Weight = Pango.Weight.Semibold; SyncInfo.ModifyFont(fontdesc); Gdk.Color fontcolor = new Gdk.Color(255,255,255); SyncInfo.ModifyFg(StateType.Normal, fontcolor); Notice fontdesc.Size is commented out. Because only when I comment it out, will I see the label with text. If I set any value to it, the label will not appear. Also, I did a Console.WriteLine, and the default Size is 0. So I tried frontdesc.Size = 0, and it still disappears, any idea? Thanks!
