  • Inheriting a Base Form but Paste/Cut Commands Not Captured

    I created a base form that has a specific size and an icon as a base for all forms created in my project (to be consistent in looks). The problem is, for some reason if I add a Text box to the Child form, I can no longer execute shortcuts like Copy (CTRL+C) etc into the Textbox. What should I do to handle this OTHER THAN writing code to capture those on the KeyUp control? This is also the case for RichTextBox control as well. Thanks

  • Prevent IntelliJ from adding iml files

    I'm working with Maven pom files, and I don't wish to source control iml files. When I open a project, IntelliJ seems to add some of the iml files it creates to the SVN source control. How can I prevent this? I have "*.iml" in an "svn:ignore" property on the repository root, but it doesn't seem to prevent IntelliJ from adding the imls.

    i am trying to create a custom (TreeView) control by inheriting from (RadTreeView) control by doing so: public class CustTreeView : RadTreeView but not all methods where inherited!!. for example: i can do: RadTreeView r = new RadTreeView(); r.LoadContentFile("Sample.xml"); but not: CustTreeView r = new CustTreeView (); r.LoadContentFile("Sample.xml"); so LoadContentFile is a method in RadTreeView but not in CustTreeView!!any explanation?

    I am dynamically loading user control in Button Click event, since these user controls are dynamically loaded I have to recreate all previous user controls as well per click. My user control just has two textboxes for now, but I am not able to persist my inputs across postbacks. My ids are same everytime. I have enableViewstate ="true" in all controls all up to page level. Please adivce.

  • How can I allow Drag and Drop from Windows Explorer into a C# WPF application?

    I know there have been tons of answers on this subject, but I still cannot get it to work at all. I've enabled AllowDrop on every control at every level of the application, and tried to catch DragEnter and Drop on every control to no avail. I can drag and drop items inside the application, but any time I try to bring something in from Windows Explorer or the desktop, etc. it gives me the No icon. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

  • Canvas total width (visible width + hidden scrollable part)

    It's probably a no brainer, but I've spent the last 40 minutes or so looking for it to no avial. I have a Canvas control with a fixed width and a horizontal scrollbar. I'm trying to find the actual width of the control. The .width (fixed width) + the part being reviled by the scrollbar. I tried explicitWidth, width + maxHorizontalScrollPosition, and some other combos but non of them hit the spot.

    I'm searching files and returning lines that include the search text, and I'm not really sure the best way to display the information I get. Every time I get a match, I want to show, in some sort of control, the File it came from, and the whole text line. (aka streamreader.ReadLine() result). First I tried just putting it all in a read-only text box, but it doesn't have a scroll bar. What is the best form control to help me display this data neatly?

Right now I have several overloads that add events to different types of controls: Public Sub AddEventHandler(Button, ButtonEvent) 'adds event handling for Button.Click public Sub AddEventHandler(LinkButton, ButtonEvent)'adds event handling for LinkButton.Click The problem is I want to write a function that is more robust like: Public sub AddEventHandler(Control, EventToHandle, ControlEvent) where EventToHandle is the parameter representing Button.Click or whatever event that Button has associated with it.     Hi, I have created a user control ( custom data grid view control). I have used the code specified at MSDN [site][1] [1]: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316574 to set the border style . I am able to see the selected border style in designer. Like None, FixedSingle or Fixed3D. But when I set the border style to FixedSingle, the border does not appear at runtime. Do I need to draw it manually in the OnPaint method?

    We just upgraded from MonoRails 1 to MonoRails 2.0, and want to use the CombineJS as seen here: http://erichauser.net/2009/01/27/javascript-compression-for-monorail/ In Firebug Net, it loads as http://www.domain.com/MonoRail/Files/BuiltJS.rails?name=deflayout&version=8204059377542922030 But it has must-revalidate in the cache-control: Cache-Control public, must-revalidate, max-age=259200 How can I get rid of that? That's why i am searching id with JQUERY as below. // $ is looking to the end of "id" attribute of input elements $("input[id$='cbAddToNews']") Only one element is returning by jQuery. But when i want to change the attribute, I'm using this syntax: $($("input[id$='cbAddToNews']")[0]).show() Is there any way to do this without wrapping it with $(...[0]) ?

    I'm trying to find a parental control for Ubuntu that turns adult site words into *. I have tried webcontentcontrol (doesn't even ask me to set a password), mobicip (doesn't even get listed in package names). My family can see my adult bookmark names and that's really embarrassing. I tried sudo apt-get remove webcontentcontrol sudo apt-get -f install sudo apt-get upgrade sudo pkill webcontentcontrol sudo apt-get remove webcontentcontrol but still can't uninstall it. Googling for that error message resulted in a solution that is first said dangerous, later said wrong. After sudo apt-get remove webcontentcontrol, I always get the error message "Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)". What should I do? The full error message is in brazilian portuguese. Should I post it anyway? I have just installed nanny, but while webcontentcontrol is installed, it doesn't load.
