• Image Gallery with JQuery Lightbox

  Hi there, I've used the JQuery lightbox on a couple of websites, by having a gallery of thumbnails and the thumbnails as links to the bigger photos, such as: <a href="Images/Gallery/1.jpg" class="lightbox"> <img src="Images/Gallery/Thumbnails/1T.jpg" width="136" height="97" /> </a> My question is, using lightbox - can I make it so that I have a thumbnail image that when clicked takes you to a folder with a few pictures to cycle through, rather than just linking to one photo like in the example above? I've tried with one link like above and in the Gallery folder having more than one image, but I don't get any navigation buttons, just the one image that is linked to.

• Ctrl+Click / Command+Click not working with analytics

  Hi All, I created my own analytics for my site to track outbound click events using jquery. Now the thing with preventDefault() is that it does not allow for the Ctrl+Click or COmmand+click operation in the browser to open the link in new tab/window. So my solution was to detect e.metaKey || e.ctrlKey and use window.open. This does not work very great with safari unless the user changes browser behavior. I am wondering if anyone here knows what other analytics users do - like how does google etc deal with this problem in tracking outbound links? • How to integrate junit/pmd/findbugs report into hudson build email?

  my team is looking into using hudson as our continuous integration software, 1 problem that we try to figure out is to integrate the reports of junit/pmd/findbugs etc into the build email that get sent to the team. the graph/reports on the dashboard are nice and all, but people usually want to just read the email and not clicking the links. i tried to use the ext-email plugin, but that doesn't provide much help related to this. is there any way i can get those info into the build email? • Django file uploads - Just can't work it out

  OK I give up - after 5 solid hours trying to get a django form to upload a file, I've checked out all the links in stackoverflow and googled and googled. Why is it so hard, I just want it to work like the admin file upload? So I get that I need code like: if submitForm.is_valid(): handle_uploaded_file(request.FILES['attachment']) obj = submitForm.save() and I can see my file in request.FILES['attachment'] (yes I have enctype set) but what am I supposed to do in handle_uploaded_file? The examples all have a fixed file name but obviously I want to upload the file to the directory I defined in the model, but I can't see where I can find that. def handle_uploaded_file(f): destination = open('fyi.xml', 'wb+') for chunk in f.chunks(): destination.write(chunk) destination.close() Bet I'm going to feel really stupid when someone points out the obvious!

  This is more of a thought i had awhile rather than an actual problem to solve, maybe more a discussion, but i was wondering if it would be possible to design the game of solitaire and be abkle to play it in the python GUI or some other form of iterface? I know you can get a deck of cards fairly easily and i know yuo can play simple games like snap and so on but i thought solitaire would be more challenging and fun because there is alot more logic behind it than just laying out the cards randomly. Any ideas? (I would be intrested to hear about or see any solutions if anyone had any links etc..)

• Rendering PDFs from a database inside MVC views?

  I was wondering if it's possible to do this without using 3rd party compnents in MVC 3. (I am open to free components though.) There are a couple of links out there but they seem to be mostly concerned with reporting and other code samples that do claim to do this sort of thing don't seem to compile. I'm not having any trouble saving and retrieving the PDFs to and from my database, but when I return the PDF as a File or a FileStreamResult the user is prompted with a download. A more desirable approach would be to actually render the PDFs inside the browser. I've had a look at iTextSHarp, it does the job to an extent, but it's not a complete solution. For example it will display the PDF inside the view if and only if the client has Adobe Reader installed, otherwise it prompts for a download. So technically, I'm mostly looking for a PDF viewer. Any ideas?

  There is a conflict with the ShareThis script and another script I have on my site. I've set up a test example here: http://jbrlsr.com/help.html to reproduce the issue, use FireFox and mouseover a few of the links, you'll notice "Transferring Data From" in the status bar area. To clear that message click on the ShareThis icon. There is one post I've found on the ShareThis Forums: forums.sharethis.com/topic.php?id=2415#post-4199 but no resolution.   I have a list of Accommodation objects bound to a Repeater, and then a nested Repeater which has the various attendee groups listed [e.g. Default, Seniors, Juniors]. This is all output fine, with the values displayed as LinkButtons, which when clicked gets sent to a code-behind event handler. Here is an example of the output to give you a picture [with some er... interesting attendee group names]: In the event handler, I test the object parameter to see which Repeater has been sent, as the outer repeater's links can also be clicked [so the Accommodation would be set, but no Attendee Group]. Is there a way to get a HiddenField from the outer RepeaterItem that contains the currently clicked inner repeater's LinkButton? E.g. From the image, I click the Attending link in the Women section. So the EventArgs via FindControl can get me the hidden field which contains the Attendee Group's ID, which is good, but I also need the Accommodation ID [to know whether it was either Wimbledon Hotel Inn or New Acc]

  Hi, I’m farely new to Wordpress but are working on putting a page together which has a very simple purpose. I’m creating it for a customer with little or none IT experience so I want to create a user he can use to login and edit his pages – and nothing more. No settings, no comments, no posts, no links, no nothing, just create, delete and edit pages and maybe edit his own profile or at least his E-mail and password. I can see that wordpress has some predefined roles for users but none of them completely does what I want and they either has to little or to many rights. I’ve been looking at the wordpress page http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities but can’t seem to get a clear answer. Is it in any way possible for me to create my own user role (e.g. customer) where I can set the rights I want for him? Thanks Sincerely Mestika

• possible to save pdf with .net from populated form by .fdf

  I have a process that creates form data in the form of an .fdf file that then has a reference to the .pdf document that is its "parent". is it possible with any .NET process to save that .pdf file (populated with the data that came in from the .fdf)? I need this because I need to email the fully populated .pdf documents out. I've been just sending the .fdfs with fully qualified links to the pdfs, but some people are having problems with it and I'd rather just go full-blown pdf if I can do it. FYI, my server does have a licensed copy of Acrobat installed if that matters....

• Save a camera photo with an overlayed image - iphone SDK

  I think this should be simple but I am having some difficulty implementing it. I take a photo from the camera, the user can then move and scale it. They then choose "use" and they get a preview of their image. Now what I want to do is overlay an image on top of this preview image - which is also ok. But the part I am having difficulty is then I want to save the photo taken WITH the image that is over it into the library. I just have a UIView with my overlay image about the UIView where my camera photo is previewed. I guess I just need to take a screen capture of these? I don't want to loose resolution OR end up with my UI buttons etc in the final image. Any suggestions or links would be really useful. Thanks :-)

  I was porting a C++ program from Solaris Sparc to Solaris x86. The program utilizes OpenGL library and the compilation is performed in a Sun Ultra27 workstation with the default GCC (3.4.3) and OpenGL library come with the machine. However, the following OpenGL call couldn't found while linking: Undefined symbol first referenced in file sunOglCurPrimTablePtr ../../lib/libgltt.so sunOglCurrentContext ../../lib/libgltt.so which, both sunOglCurPrimTablePtr and sunOglCurrentContext should be available in the default OpenGL library /usr/lib/libGL.so (links to /usr/X11/lib/NVIDIA/libGL.so.1). But I couldn't find anything from it: > nm /usr/lib/libGL.so /usr/lib/libGL.so: Searching on web, SUN or Nvidia didn't lead to any helpful resource. Any clue or helps? Thanks!

  Hi everyone, I need some guidelines about building the code behind of my pages correctly. I mean, I'm building in asp.net for a year now, and mostly using the Page_Load event. (and ofcourse "event handling" the events triggered by the user's actions). I know about the page life cycle and the order of events that happens when a page is requested etc.. . Is it normal that, generally, in a data-driven page, for example, I'm not using any of the "pre_render", "page_unload", "pre_init" etc.. event handlers? or am I missing something here? any guidelines would help me a lot, including links or whatever you think that would instruct me well. thanks.

  I am creating a WordPress site using Artisteer and various plugins to show off some photo galleries. I have also purchased a e-commerce WordPress theme that I have included as a subdirectory. In this theme they have a share button that I like the functionality of. I want to replicate the button in the front section of the site within the gallery pages.
