JQuery Tooltip Plugin from Jorn

I am thinking someone may have run across this one, but not sure. From a high level, I am trying to roll over a input [type=text] and display a tool tip (with the contained value) using the plugin available at http://bassitance.de. I have to use titles and classes for validation on the specific elements, so I put a blank div to hold the input [type=text] value for the roll over. Issue: It won't hold the value of 2 text boxes at once. Once I put a value in the box on the right, the tooltip on the left goes away. Same thing if I switch it aroun. I can't keep a tooltip on more than one element. What is purpuse of T4 Generator in T4toolbox

I am using T4toolbox, I am confused what the generator is for. I can run the following public class Generator1 : Generator { protected override void RunCore() { Template1 t = new Template1(); t.Output.File = "t3.txt"; t.Render(); } } or I can run t4 script directly like the following. Template1 t = new Template1(); t.Output.File = "t3.txt"; t.Render(); But I can do the same using t4 script without generator as well. So I mean can do the same thing with two approach "script -- generator -- template" and "script -- template", am I missing something? Thanks

Any hosted versions of jQuery that have the 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *' header set?

I have been working with jQuery recently and ran into a problem where I couldn't include it in a userscript because xmlhttpRequest uses the same origin policy. After further testing I found that most browsers also support the Cross-Origin Resource Sharing access control defined by W3C as a workaround for issues with same origin policy. I tested this by hosting the jQuery script on a local web server that included the Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * http header, which allowed the script to be downloaded using xmlhttpRequest so that it could be included in my userscript. I'd like to use a hosted version of jQuery when releasing the script, but so far testing with tools like http://www.seoconsultants.com/tools/headers I have not found any sites that allow cross-origin access to the jQuery script. Getting Started with Prism (aka Composite Application Guidance for WPF and Silverlight)

Overview Prism is a framework from the Microsoft Patterns and Practice team that allow you to create WPF and Silverlight in a modular way. It is especially valuable for larger projects in which a large number of developers can develop in parallel. Prism achieves its goal by supplying several services: · Dependency Injection (DI) and Inversion of control (IoC): By using DI, Prism takes away the responsibility of instantiating and managing the life time of dependency objects from individual components to a container. Prism relies on containers to discover, manage and compose large number of objects. By varying the configuration, the container can also inject mock objects for unit testing. Out of the box, Prism supports Unity and MEF as container although it is possible to use other containers by subclassing the Bootstrapper class. · Modularity and Region: Prism supplies the framework to split application into modules from the application shell. Each module is a library project that contains both UI and code and is responsible to initialize itself when loaded by the shell. Each window can be further divided into regions. A region is a user control with associated model. · Model, view and view-model (MVVM) pattern: Prism promotes the user MVVM. The use of DI container makes it much easier to inject model into view. WPF already has excellent data binding and commanding mechanism. To be productive with Prism, it is important to understand WPF data binding and commanding well. · Event-aggregation: Prism promotes loosely coupled components. Prism discourages for components from different modules to communicate each other, thus leading to dependency. Instead, Prism supplies an event-aggregation mechanism that allows components to publish and subscribe events without knowing each other. Architecture In the following, I will go into a little more detail on the services provided by Prism. Bootstrapper In a typical WPF application, application start-up is controls by App.xaml and its code behind. The main window of the application is typically specified in the App.xaml file. In a Prism application, we start a bootstrapper in the App class and delegate the duty of main window to the bootstrapper. The bootstrapper will start a dependency-injection container so all future object instantiations are managed by the container. Out of box, Prism provides the UnityBootstrapper and MefUnityBootstrapper abstract classes. All application needs to either provide a concrete implementation of one of these bootstrappers, or alternatively, subclass the Bootstrapper class with another DI container. A concrete bootstrapper class must implement the CreateShell method. Its responsibility is to resolve and create the Shell object through the DI container to serve as the main window for the application. The other important method to override is ConfigureModuleCatalog. The bootstrapper can register modules for the application. In a more advance scenario, an application does not have to know all its modules at compile time. Modules can be discovered at run time. Readers to refer to one of the Open Modularity Quick Starts for more information. Modules Once modules are registered with or discovered by Prism, they are instantiated by the DI container and their Initialize method is called. The DI container can inject into a module a region registry that implements IRegionViewRegistry interface. The module, in its Initialize method, can then call RegisterViewWithRegion method of the registry to register its regions. Regions Regions, once registered, are managed by the RegionManager. The shell can then load regions either through the RegionManager.RegionName attached property or dynamically through code. When a view is created by the region manager, the DI container can inject view model and other services into the view. The view then has a reference to the view model through which it can interact with backend services. Service locator Although it is possible to inject services into dependent classes through a DI container, an alternative way is to use the ServiceLocator to retrieve a service on demard. Prism supplies a service locator implementation and it is possible to get an instance of the service by calling: ServiceLocator.Current.GetInstance<IServiceType>() Event aggregator Prism supplies an IEventAggregator interface and implementation that can be injected into any class that needs to communicate with each other in a loosely-coupled fashion. The event aggregator uses a publisher/subscriber model. A class can publishes an event by calling eventAggregator.GetEvent<EventType>().Publish(parameter) to raise an event. Other classes can subscribe the event by calling eventAggregator.GetEvent<EventType>().Subscribe(EventHandler, other options). Getting started The easiest way to get started with Prism is to go through the Prism Hands-On labs and look at the Hello World QuickStart. The Hello World QuickStart shows how bootstrapper, modules and region works. Next, I would recommend you to look at the Stock Trader Reference Implementation. It is a more in depth example that resemble we want to set up an application. Several other QuickStarts cover individual Prism services. Some scenarios, such as dynamic module discovery, are more advanced. Apart from the official prism document, you can get an overview by reading Glen Block’s MSDN Magazine article. I have found the best free training material is from the Boise Code Camp. To be effective with Prism, it is important to understands key concepts of WPF well first, such as the DependencyProperty system, data binding, resource, theme and ICommand. It is also important to know your DI container of choice well. I will try to explorer these subjects in depth in the future. Testimony Recently, I worked on a desktop WPF application using Prism. I had a wonderful experience with Prism. The Prism is flexible enough even in the presence of third party controls such as Telerik WPF controls. We have never encountered any significant obstacle.

SoundManager2 has irregular latency

I'm playing some notes at regular intervals. Each one is delayed by a random number of milliseconds, creating a jarring irregular effect. How do I fix it? Note: I'm OK with some latency, just as long as it's consistent. Answers of the type "implement your own small SoundManager2 replacement, optimized for timing-sensitive playback" are OK, if you know how to do that :) but I'm trying to avoid rewriting my whole app in flash for now. I'm trying to run some PHP scripts as CLI instead of over HTTP. How do I make them play nice?

Hi everyone. I'm using some PHP scripts from FeedForAll to join together RSS feeds (RSSmesh) and display them as HTML (RSS2HTML). Because I intend to run these scripts fairly intensively and don't want the resulting HTTP requests and bandwidth to count towards my hosting quota, I am in the process of moving to running them on the web host's server in an umbrella PHP "batch" script, and call this script via cron (this is a Linux server, by the way). Here's a (working) sample request over HTTP: http://www.mydomain.com/a/rss2htmlcore/rss2html2.php?XMLFILE=http://www.mydomain.com/a/myapp/xmlcache/feed.xml&TEMPLATE=template.html This will produce the desired HTML output. An example of how I want this to work on the command line: /srv/customers/mycustomer#/mydomain.com/www/a/rss2htmlcore/rss2html2-cli.php /srv/customers/mycustomer#/mydomain.com/www/a/myapp/xmlcache/feed.xml /srv/customers/mycustomer#/mydomain.com/www/a/template.html This is with the correct shebang line added to "rss2html2-cli.php". I could just as well specify the executable ("/usr/local/bin/php") in the request, I doubt it makes a difference because I am able to run another script (that I wrote myself) either way without problems. Now, RSS2HTML and RSSmesh are different in that, for starters, they include secondary files -- for example, both include an XML parser script -- and I suspect that this is where I am getting a bit in over my head. Right now I'm calling exec() from the "umbrella" batch script, like so: exec("/srv/customers/mycustomer#/mydomain.com/www/a/rss2htmlcore/rss2html2-cli.php /srv/customers/mycustomer#/mydomain.com/www/a/myapp/xmlcache/feed.xml /srv/customers/mycustomer#/mydomain.com/www/a/template.html", $output) But no output is being produced. What's the best way to go about this and what "gotchas" should I keep in mind? Is exec() the right way to approach this? It works fine for the other (simple) script but that writes its own output. For this I want to get the output and write it to a file from within the umbrella script if possible. I've also tried output buffering but to no avail. Do I need to pay attention to anything specific with regard to the includes? Right now they're specified in the scripts as include_once("FeedForAll_XMLParser.inc.php"); and the specified files are indeed in the same folder. Further info: -This is a Linux server. -I have no direct access to the shell, so I can't test things directly on a command line, everything is via crontab. -I will admit that support for the FeedForAll scripts leaves a lot to be desired, but I'd like to keep using their scripts if at all possible, if only because I know them and have been using them for a while. I have looked into Simplepie, but the FFA scripts do some things that I've seen no obvious solutions for with Simplepie, like limiting the number of items per individual feed (RSSmesh) or limiting the description length (RSS2HTML). -Yahoo! Pipes is out, they cache their data for too long for my application. Should you want to take a look at the code, here are the scripts as txt files. RSS2HTML2 and RSSmesh are the FeedForAll scripts, FeedForAll_XMLParser... is the included parser. Note that I have not yet amended these to handle $argv etc. I have however in "scraper-universal-rss-cli", which works fine with CLI. If anyone has any thoughts to share on this it would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

jquery $.getJSON only works once in internet explorer Help Please!!!

I have a php function which inserts a searchbar into each page on a website. The site checks to see if the user has javascript enabled and if they do it inserts some jquery ajax stuff to link select boxes (instead of using it's fallback onchange="form.submit()"). $.getJSON works perfectly for me in other browsers except in IE, if I do a full page refresh (ctrl+F5) in IE my ajax works flawlessly until I navigate to a new page (or the same page with $PHP_SELF) either by submiting the form or clicking a link the jquery onchange function fires but then jquery throws an error: Webpage error details Message: Object doesn't support this property or method Line: 123 Char: 183 Code: 0 URI: http://~#UNABLE~TO~DISCLOSE#~/jquery-1.4.2.min.js It seems like jquery function $.getJSON() is gone??? TinyMCE include crashes IE8

The code is as shown below: <script type="text/javascript">  </script> The support.js file contains the following. function inittextarea() { tinyMCE.init({ elements : "content", mode : "exact", theme : "advanced", readonly : true, setup : function(ed) { ed.onInit.add(function() { tinyMCE.activeEditor.execCommand("mceToggleVisualAid"); }); } }); } The problem arises when the onclick event is fired and the pop up opens up, IE8 stops responding and seems to hang. It is working fine on Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I feel that the issue is because of TinyMCE script inclusion because on commenting the lines that include the tiny_mce.js and the support_page.js, the popup renders with no issues. I am also using the latest TinyMCE release. Please let me know why this is happening and what could be the resolution.

Apache & SVN on Ubuntu - Post-commit hook fails silently, pre-commit hook "Permission Denied"

I've been struggling for the past couple days to get post-commit email notifications working on my SVN server (running via HTTP with Apache2 on Ubuntu 9.10). SVN commits work fine, but for some reason the hooks are not being properly executed. Here are the configuration settings: - Users access the repo via HTTP with the apache dav_svn module (I created users/passwords via htpasswd in a dav_svn.passwd file). dav_svn.conf: <Location /svn/repos> DAV svn SVNPath /home/svn/repos AuthType Basic AuthName "Subversion Repository" AuthUserFile /etc/apache2/dav_svn.passwd Require valid-user </Location> I created a post-commit hook file that writes a simple message to a file in the repository root: /home/svn/repos/hooks/post-commit: #!/bin/sh REPOS="$1" REV="$2" /bin/echo 'worked' > ${REPOS}/postcommit.log I set the entire repository to be owned by www-data (the apache user), and assigned 755 permissions to the post-commit script when I test the post-commit script using the www-data user in an empty environment, it works: sudo -u www-data env - /home/svn/repos/hooks/post-commit /home/svn/repos 7 But when I commit on a client machine, the commit is successful, but the post-commit script does not seem to be executed. I also tried running a simple script for the pre-commit hook, and I get an error, even with an empty pre-commit script: "Commit failed (details follow): Can't create null stdout for hook '/home/svn/repos/hooks/pre-commit': Permission denied" I did a few searches on Google for this error and I presume that this is an issue with the apache user (www-data) not having adequate permissions, specifically to execute /dev/null. I also read that the reason post-commit fails silently is because that it doesn't report with stdout. Anyway, I've also tried giving the apache user (www-data) ownership of the entire repository, and edited the apache virtualhost to allow operations on the server root, and I'm still getting permission denied /etc/apache2/sites-available/primarydomain.conf <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None Order allow,deny Allow from all </Directory> Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Verifying regular expression for malware removal

Unfortunately, one of my web servers was compromised recently. I have two questions. Is there a way I can scan the downloaded directory for backdoors? Is there anything I can do to ensure that at least known vulnerabilities do not exist anymore? I verified it with a few files but I want to be sure that this doesn't delete some valid code. Anyone suggests any other modifications?

How can I have HTML tab expansion in ST2 w/ Emmet inside Handlebars templates(emberjs)?

Okay, so I'm using Sublime Text 2 with Emmet. But "Tab" expansion of HTML snippets doesn't work inside a script because of the scope. Example: In HTML, I can type "h1" and then hit tab, and it will generate "" When using Ember.js, and more specifically Handlebars, it doesn't work. <script type="text/x-handlebars"> h1 </script> Pressing tab after that "h1" doesn't expand it because it's inside a script; Emmet turns this off. I can press Ctrl+E, which is the "expand anywhere" hotkey, and that works just fine. However, that is uncomfortable and prone to missing and hitting things like Ctrl+S or Ctrl+D which have undesired effects. So, how can I change this? I tweeted at the developer, and got a reply, https://twitter.com/chikuyonok/status/398708331969540096 But couldn't understand what to do.

problem with tinymce textarea in dynamically added jquery tabs

I have an aspx page(Default1.aspx),in which i have a static jquery tab and anchor tag upon clicking the anchor tag(Add Tab) I am adding new tab dynamically,which gets its contents loaded from another aspx page(Default2.aspx).This second page contains some text inside a tag,a textarea with 'tinymce' class which is placed inside a div with 'style="display:none" ' and this textarea gets displayed only upon clicking the edit button on that page. However, when I put the script into a subdirectory of /etc/ owned by root:root and executed as root it works. What gives?

Recently I was preparing a demo for my next technical session, I had to do run a SQL code in parallel. I decided to use Batch File to run the code. I am not the best guy to with command shell so I did it with following setup. Code of tsql.sql SELECT 1 ColumnName Code of command.bat sqlcmd -S . -i tsql.sql timeout 100 Code of AllBatch.bat start cmd.exe /C “command.bat” start cmd.exe /C “command.bat” start cmd.exe /C “command.bat” Now I ran AllBatch.bat and it run all the three files in parallel and simulated my needed scenario. I believe there should be simpler way using power-shell. Anybody want to come up with equivalent code which is improvement to this code? I need to write a Perl script that pipes input into a Java program. This is related to this, but that didn't help me. My issue is that the Java app doesn't get the print statements until I close the handle. What I found online was that $| needs to be set to something greater than 0, in which case newline characters will flush the buffer. This still doesn't work.
