  • Home screen widget size for large screen or hdpi?

    From Android widget screen guidelines, http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/widget_design.html, we know that, home screen has 4*4 cells, and in portrait orientation, each cell is 80 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall. I think these are for baseline HVGA screen. How about for large screens and hdpi screens, do they still have 4*4 cells for widget and each cell in portrait orientation is still 80 pixels * 100 pixels? Thanks.

    Hi, I need a delphi component for Delphi 2007 win32 that have features like Google search text box. ** While User writing search key it should fill/refresh the list with values, and user can select one of them. **User can go up and down list and can select one of them. **List should contain codes and text pair, so user can select text and I can get code for database operations. (Google can highlight the search text in List but I think it is not possible with Delphi 2007, so it is not excepted.) I tried Dev Express TcxMRUEdit, however it doesn't meet my needs

  • How do you match only valid roman numerals with a regular expression?

    Thinking about my other problem, i decided I can't even create a regular expression that will match roman numerals (let alone a context-free grammar that will generate them) The problem is matching only valid roman numerals. Eg, 990 is NOT "XM", it's "CMXC" My problem in making the regex for this is that in order to allow or not allow certain characters, I need to look back. Let's take thousands and hundreds, for example. I can allow M{0,2}C?M (to allow for 900, 1000, 1900, 2000, 2900 and 3000). However, If the match is on CM, I can't allow following characters to be C or D (because I'm already at 900). How can I express this in a regex? If it's simply not expressible in a regex, is it expressible in a context-free grammar? Thanks for any pointers!

    Hello I don't know enough about VB.Net (2008, Express Edition) yet, so I wanted to ask if there were a better way to find files with different names but the same contents, ie. duplicates. In the following code, I use GetFiles() to retrieve all the files in a given directory, and for each file, use MD5 to hash its contents, check if this value already lives in a dictionary: If yes, it's a duplicate and I'll delete it; If not, I add this filename/hashvalue into the dictionary for later: 'Get all files from directory Dim currfile As String For Each currfile In Directory.GetFiles("C:\MyFiles\", "File.*") 'Check if hashing already found as value, ie. duplicate If StoreItem.ContainsValue(ReadFileMD5(currfile)) Then 'Delete duplicate 'This hashing not yet found in dictionary -> add it Else StoreItem.Add(currfile, ReadFileMD5(currfile)) End If Next Is this a good way to solve the issue of finding duplicates, or is there a better way I should know about?     Heyo, I'm using UdpClient to query game servers about server name, map, number of players, etc. I've followed the guidelines on this page http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Server_queries#Source_servers and I'm getting a correct reply: I have no idea how I would go about to get each chunk of information (server name, map and the like).   • Setting a Silverlight textbox control's width relatively

    Hello, I tried searching on stackoverflow for an answer to my question but couldn't seem to find anything relevant. Since I'm relatively new to Silverlight, I'm not even sure if this is possible, but I am trying to figure out if it is possible to set a Silverlight textbox control's width value proportionally to it's immediate parent container? It would be nice to avoid hard coding a width value. Say you want to place a textbox control inside a horizontally aligned StackPanel control and have it's width always dynamically adjusted to be 80% of the total width of the StackPanel. Is this possible to do declaratively in your xaml markup, or will I need to resort to some codebehind attached to some event handler to accomplish this? fyi, I am currently using Visual Web Developer Express 2008 to write my silverlight code. thanks in advance, John

Now I'm searching for a good open source Version Control regarding following aspects: We are in love with open source movement and cross-platform. Could it be possible to use it with Mono, SharpDevelop and Express editions of VS instead of Visual Studio itself? What about backup? Is it integrated with VS without serious problems?   • Easiest way to retrofit retry logic on LINQ to SQL migration to SQL Azure

    I have a couple of existing ASP .NET web forms and MVC applications that currently use LINQ to SQL with a SQL Server 2008 Express database on a Windows VPS: one VPS for both IIS and SQL. I am starting to outgrow the VPS's ability to effectively host both SQL and IIS and am getting ready to split them up. I am considering migrating the database to SQL Azure and keeping IIS on the VPS. After doing initial research it sounds like implementing retry logic in the data access layer is a must-do when adopting SQL Azure. I suspect this is even more critical to implement in my situation where IIS will be on a VPS outside of the Azure infrastructure. I am looking for pointers on how to do this with the least effort and impact on my existing code base. Is there a good retry pattern that can be applied once at the LINQ to SQL data access layer, as opposed to having to wrap all of my LINQ to SQL operations in try/catch/wait/retry logic?

    In our developer environment, no users have administration rights. As such, it's not possible to install MSBuild.CommunityTasks without getting admin to do so. What I'm wondering is similar to NAnt, i.e. is it possible to include the files in your solution directory, and just reference it from there? This way, will not matter if the person has it installed, when they checkout latest code, the msbuild community files will come with, and solution will build. \SolutionDir\{solution}.sln \SolutionDir\Project\{files} \SolutionDir\MSBuild.Community\files

    Say I have this url: http://site.example/dir/ In this folder I have these files: test.ascx.cs and test.ascx Just to be clear, I am not a .NET developer. From a security point of view - why can't I access http://site.example/dir/test.ascx.cs and how secure is it to keep those files there? I assume IIS filters out request that query these kind of files, but can someone explain me this? Thank you.

  • KitchenSink tools/apkbuilder error when trying to run for Android

    When I run KitchenSink example project on iPhone emulator everything is OK, but trying to launch for Android emulator produces errors: [ERROR] /Users/lukasz/Android/android-sdk-mac_x86/tools/apkbuilder [ERROR] Failed installing com.appcelerator.kitchensink: pkg: /data/local/tmp/app.apk It happens whatever Androig API I choose (from 1.5 to 2.2 or from APIs 1.5 to APIs 2.2). I am using Titanium Developer 1.2.1, titanium SDK 1.4.1.11 Where is the problem? As far as I can see Android SDKs and platforms work correctly because I can successfully compile Android projects from diffrent IDE (Netbeans).
