  • Killing Mysql prcoesses staying in sleep command.

    Hey I am connecting a MYSQL database through hibernate and i seem to have processes that are not being killed after they are finished in the session. I have called flush and close on each session but when i check the server the last processes are still there with a sleep command. This is a new problem which i am having and was not the case yesterday. Is there any way i can ensure the killng of theses processes when i am done with a session. Both of these values are written to the database. $this->salt = md5(uniqid()); $this->password = md5($password.$salt); Upon logging in, the following function is fired.     Hi there, I have a script saved in a ps1 file in which I define 2 functions as such: function Invoke-Sql([string]$query) { Invoke-Sqlcmd -ServerInstance $Server -Database $DB -User $User -Password $Password -Query $query } function Get-Queued { Invoke-Sql "Select * From Comment where AwaitsModeration = 1" } In the PowerShell console I then call the ps1 file by typing it in (it's in a folder in the path, and autocompletion works) However, I cannot start using the functions. I am confused, because when I copy / paste the functions into the console, all is fine and they work. I also have a function defined in my profile, and it works. Where am I thinking wrong, why doesn't it work what I'm trying to do?

    We seem to have a lot of clients asking us to change the login screen in this manner: Display a list of all available users (thumbnail picture + name) User selects a username from the list A password prompt appears near the username User enters password then presses enter This sounds remarcably similar to the Windows XP login, which is probably where they got the ideea in the first place. There are only about 4 - 5 different users that can login at any given station, so implementing that list on one screen is feasable. So I was wondering if there are any usability experts with some word on this method of login. As far as I can tell, MS droped this behaviour in Vista/Win7, didn't they?

I have a small webapplication called StatsGen I want to include in other projects, and for convenience I'd like to have the settings inside the bin folder, in a config file with an appropriate name, in my case: StatsGen.config.     I want to divide business layer (BLL) of an asp.net application into multiple components. Each component is a .NET class library which is compiled as a standalone DLL. These components should have their own configuration files. For example "MyNameSpace.Users.dll" contains classes about users of the website and there's a password policy to check if password length is at least x characters. When webmaster edits the config file of this DLL and set x to y then component (DLL) should use new value (y) in the future and enforce passwords to be at least y characters. I want each component as a single project and compile them separaely (and not to put all projects in a solution in Visual Studio), and put the DLLs of these libraries into the "Bin" folder of my ASP.NET application. Is it possible ? Where should I put these config files ?

    I have a folder (folder_1) that is protected by htaccess/htpasswd files. Inside that folder is another folder (folder_2) that is protected by another couple of htaccess/htpasswd files. When a php-script in folder_1 or folder_2 is called, the user has to authenticate herself using the correct username and password as specified in the respective htaccess/htpasswd files. This works as intended. However, as soon as the php-script in folder_2 tries to refer to another script or a css-file that is located in folder_1, the user must enter username and password for folder_1 as well. Is there a way to avoid this that does not involve copying scripts and css-files from folder_1 to folder_2? Regards, Ralf

    I'm attempting to use fabric for the first time and I really like it so far, but at a certain point in my deployment script I want to clone a mercurial repository. When I get to that point I get an error: err: abort: http authorization required My repository requires http authorization and fabric doesn't prompt me for the user and password. I can get around this by changing my repository address from: https://hostname/repository to: https://user:password@hostname/repository But for various reasons I would prefer not to go this route. Are there any other ways in which I could bypass this problem?

    I'd like a free library for .NET to get attachments from an account (such as gMail, or others) via imap4 (not necessarely), and save them in a folder. Ideally it would allow me to get a list of them, and download only some given ones (filtering by extension, name, and/or size) and be free.     Suppose you want to add an extra layer of credentials on top of a SSL-encrypted login/password, but you don't want to increase complexity to the user. Is there a way to add the requirement of the possession of a dongle to web-server authentication schemes with existing cross-platform browser capabilities? In other words, to get access to the web-site, you would need a username, password, and a USB dongle that has been plugged into the client computer. The dongle would presumably do some sort of challenge/response. It'd be ideal if this dongle solution worked with Firefox automatically or with the simple addition of a plugin.   • Internet Explorer buggy when accessing a custom weblogic provider

    I've created a custom Weblogic Security Authentication Provider on version 10.3 that includes a custom login module to validate users. As part of the provider, I've implemented the ServletAuthenticationFilter and added one filter. The filter acts as a common log on page for all the applications within the domain. When we access any secured URLs by entering them in the address bar, this works fine in IE and Firefox. But when we bookmark the link in IE an odd thing happens. If I click the bookmark, you will see our log on page, then after you've successfully logged into the system the basic auth page will display, even though the user is already authenticated. This never happens in Firefox, only IE. It's also intermittent. 1 time out of 5 IE will correctly redirect and not show the basic auth window. Firefox and Opera will correctly redirect everytime. We've captured the response headers and compared the success and failures, they are identical. final boolean isAuthenticated = authenticateUser(userName, password, req); // Send user on to the original URL if (isAuthenticated) { res.sendRedirect(targetURL); return; } As you can see, once the user is authenticated I do a redirect to the original URL. Is there a step I'm missing? I have tested against IE 6 & 8 and deployed the custom provider on 3 different environments and I can still reproduce the bug.

    Hi All I just setup up member ship roles and registration on my website with visual web developer using the tutorial on msdn.
