  • How do you: Symfony functional test on a secure app?

    - by Dan Tudor
    Im trying to perform some function tests in symfony 1.4. My application is secure so the tests return 401 response codes not 200 as expected. I've tried creating a context and authentication the user prior to performing the test but to no avail. Any suggestions? Do I need to pass sfContext to the sfTestFunctional? Thanks include(dirname(FILE).'/../../bootstrap/functional.php'); $configuration = ProjectConfiguration::getApplicationConfiguration('backend', 'test', true); $context = sfContext::createInstance($configuration); new sfDatabaseManager($configuration); $loader = new sfPropelData(); $loader-loadData(sfConfig::get('sf_test_dir').'/fixtures'); // load test data $user = sfGuardUserPeer::retrieveByUsername('test'); $context-getUser()-signin($user); $browser = new sfTestFunctional(new sfBrowser()); $browser- get('/')- with('request')-begin()- isParameter('module', 'video')- isParameter('action', 'index')- end()- with('response')-begin()- isStatusCode(200)- //checkElement('body', '!/This is a temporary page/')- end() ;

  • Intellij Idea 9, what folders to check into (or not check into) source control?

    - by Benju
Our team has just moved from Netbeans to Intellij 9 Ultimate and need to know what files/folders should typically be excluded from source control as they are not "workstation portable" ie: they reference paths that only exist on one user's computer. As far as I can tell Intellij wants to ignore most of the .idea project including .idea/artifacts/* .idea/inspectionProfiles/* .idea/copyright/* .idea/dataSources.ids .idea/dataSources.xml .idea/workspace.xml However it seems to want to check in the .iml files that exist in each module's root directory. I originally checked in the entire .idea directory via the command line which is obviously not aware of what "should" be ignored by Idea. Is the entire .idea directory typically ignored?

  • Dynamics of the using keyword

    - by AngryHacker
Consider the following code: // module level declaration Socket _client; void ProcessSocket() { _client = GetSocketFromSomewhere(); using (_client) { DoStuff(); // receive and send data Close(); } } void Close() { _client.Close(); _client = null; } Given that that the code calls the Close() method, which closes the _client socket and sets it to null, while still inside the `using' block, what exactly happens behind the scenes? Does the socket really get closed? Are there side effects? P.S. This is using C# 3.0 on the .NET MicroFramework, but I suppose the c#, the language, should function identically. The reason i am asking is that occasionally, very rarely, I run out of sockets (which is a very precious resource on a .NET MF devices).

  • From a Perl test file, how do I check the contents of a file?

    - by justintime
I want to test a script I have written in Perl and specifically check what output it writes to file. I wrote it some time ago and don't want to modify it to the extent of turning it into a module but would like to regression test it before adding some small functional changes. So far I have use Test::Command tests => 10; exit_is_num($cmd, 0); .... But the command produces some files and I want to check those files are the same as I expect (either equal or match some regexp). Any suggestions

  • Why GPRS modem provides embedded TCP/IP stack

    - by Christian Madsen
My colleague and I are mining the GPRS MODEM market for a module suitable for use with embedded Linux. During the market scan, we see that several vendors highlight that their MODEMs include an embedded TCP/IP stack. This makes me wonder: when we are using embedded Linux which already contains a TCP/IP stack and connects using PPP, will it make use of the stack included in the GPRS MODEM at all? My current assumption is that the stack is included for use with tiny microcontroller OS that do not supply their own stack. Also some of the MODEMs allow for running small applications IN the MODEM baseband processor which could explain the embedded stack... So: is the TCP/IP stack supplied by the GPRS MODEM superfluous when using it with an HL OS or did I overlook something?

  • gethostname() returns accurate hostname, bind() doesn't like it

    - by user2072848
Doing a python socket tutorial, entire codebase is as follows import socket as so s = so.socket() host = so.gethostname() port = 12345 s.bind((host, port)) s.listen(5) while True: c, addr = s.accept() print 'Got connection from', addr c.send('Thank you for connecting') c.close() and error message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "server.py", line 13, in <module> s.bind((host, port)) File "/Users/solid*name*/anaconda/lib/python2.7/socket.py", line 224, in meth return getattr(self._sock,name)(*args) socket.gaierror: [Errno 8] nodename nor servname provided, or not known Printing hostname gives me super*name* Which is, in fact, my computer's hostname.

  • Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more i

    - by pooyakhamooshi
I have developed an application using Entity Framework, SQL Server 2000, VS 2008 and Enterprise Library. It works absolutely fine locally but when I deploy the project to our test environment, I am getting the following error: "Unable to load one or more of the requested types. • Mibble MIB Parser - extracting comments from the mib.

    - by this.matt
I am using the Mibble MIB Parser to extract all simple data types from an MIB file. I've been successful until my attempt to extract comment text. Take the following module as an example: invBookList OBJECT-TYPE SYNTAX INTEGER { mobydick(1), -- call me ishmael paradiselost(2), -- aComment 1984(3), -- aComment solaris(4) -- aComment } MAX-ACCESS read-only STATUS current DESCRIPTION "A few Books for an example." ::= { invMasterList 43 } According to Mibble's API, the OBJECT-TYPE can be accessed by extracting an SnmpObjectType and then calling the appropriate getter method. Which I have done, and can successfully extract all of the text except the comments in the INTEGER syntax. I have tried calling getSyntax().getComment() on the SnmpObjectType, but always returns null. getSyntax() will extract the INTEGER syntax, e.g.: mobydick(1),paradiselist(2),1984(3),solaris(4) but unfortunately strips out the comments. Any one out there have experience with Mibble Parser who knows how to extract the comments? Many Thanks.

  • e-shop implementation: Status for Orders?

    - by Guillermo
Hello Again my fellow programmers out there, I'm designing and programming from scratch a online shop. It has a Module to manage "Orders" that are recieved via the frontend. I'm needing to have a status to know whats happening with an order in s certain moment, let's say the statuses are: Pending Payment Confirmed - Awaiting shipment Shipped Cancelled My question is a simple one, but is very important to decide on the store design, and is: What would you do so store this status: Would you create a column for it in the Orders table or would you just "calculate" the status of each order depending if payments has been recieved or shipments has been made for every order? (except I suppose for a is_cancelled column) What would be the best approach to model this kind of problem? PD: I even wish in the future to have these statuses configurable buy other clientes using the same software..

  • Is it possible to add custom fields to a Drupal taxonomy term?

    - by user278457
I'd like to add a date field to a drupal taxonomy term, alongside the default "title" and "description" Is there some technique/php/module that lets me do this? Is it possible to do with CCK?? I need to be able to display the new field in the same view presenting the content nodes referencing the term. At the moment, I've added a date field to the content nodes with CCK, and it's displayed by the view. But that's not exactly what I'm going for, I just want to update one date per term.

  • Zend currency custom format like "$ 1,234.56 USD"

    - by Jorre
I'm using the zend currency module to manage currencies in a web app. I can't figure out how to create a custom format for my currencies, since there are no examples on the documentation pages: http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.currency.options.html From what I read there, I could use the format parameter to set a format, but I can't find a way how. Does anyone have a good code example for this problem? currently I do the following: $currency->setFormat(array (display' => Zend_Currency::USE_SYMBOL)); That works to display only the symbol, but I'm also interested in putting an extra space after or before the symbol and to display currencies like this: "$ 1,234.56 USD" "€ 1.234,56 EUR"

  • How to configure encoding in maven

    - by Ethan Leroy
When I run maven install on my multi module maven project I always get the following output: [WARNING] File encoding has not been set, using platform encoding UTF-8, i.e. build is platform dependent! So, I googled around a bit, but all I can find is that I have to add <properties> <project.build.sourceEncoding>UTF-8</project.build.sourceEncoding> </properties> to my pom.xml. But it's already there (in the parent pom.xml). Configuring <encoding> for the maven-resources-plugin or the maven-compiler-plugin also doesn't fix it. So what's the problem?

  • How to read special characters from stdin in Python?

    - by erickrf
I'm having trouble reading special characters from stdin. Here are my attempts: import os dir = raw_input("Dir name: ") Dir name: c:/á os.chdir(dir) WindowsError: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified: 'c:/\x81\xe1' Ok, so I tried to get the default system encoding and recode the string from stdin: import locale encoding = locale.getdefaultlocale()[1] print encoding cp1252 unicode(dir, encoding) Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "c:\Python26\lib\encodings\cp1252.py", line 15, in decode return codecs.charmap_decode(input,errors,decoding_table) UnicodeDecodeError: 'charmap' codec can't decode byte 0x81 in position 3: character maps to <undefined> Now, I don't know how to solve this. Nor can I understand - why is there a problem when I try to access a directory with a name written in the system default encoding itself??

  • In a digital photo, detecting if a mountain is obscured by clouds.

    - by Gavin Brock
The problem I have a collection of digital photos of a mountain in Japan. However the mountain is often obscured by clouds or fog. What techniques can I use to detect that the mountain is visible in the image? I am currently using Perl with the Imager module, but open to alternatives. All the images are taken from the exact same position - these are some samples. My naïve solution I started by taking several horizontal pixel samples of the mountain cone and comparing the brightness values to other samples from the sky. This worked well for differentiating good image 1 and bad image 2. However in the autumn it snowed and the mountain became brighter than the sky, like image 3, and my simple brightness test started to fail. Image 4 is an example of an edge case. I would classify this as a good image since some of the mountain is clearly visible.

  • Defining a SPI in Clojure

    - by Joe Holloway
I'm looking for an idiomatic way(s) to define an interface in Clojure that can be implemented by an external "service provider". My application would locate and instantiate the service provider module at runtime and delegate certain responsibilities to it. Let's say, for example, that I'm implementing a RPC mechanism and I want to allow a custom middleware to be injected at configuration time. This middleware could pre-process the message, discard messages, wrap the message handler with logging, etc. I know several ways to do this if I fall back to Java reflection, but feel that implementing it in Clojure would help my understanding. (Note, I'm using SPI in a general sense here, not specifically referring to the way it's defined in the JAR file specification) Thanks

  • ByteStrings in Haskell

    - by Jon
So i am trying to write a program that can read in a java class file as bytecode. For this i am using Data.Binary and Data.ByteStream. The problem i am having is because im pretty new to Haskell i am having trouble actually using these tools. module Main where import Data.Binary.Get import Data.Word import qualified Data.ByteString.Lazy as S getBinary :: Get Word8 getBinary = do a <- getWord8 return (a) main :: IO () main = do contents <- S.getContents print (getBinary contents) This is what i have come up with so far and i fear that its not really even on the right track. Although i know this question is very general i would appreciate some help with what i should be doing with the reading.

  • Best way to sort MySql results based on two columns and show results using pagination?

    - by understack
I want to sort results set first based on one column and then based on second column. I know how to do it on server side. And then I want to show these results with pagination feature. Question: would it be better to do it on client side via ajax in jQuery? I'm using Zend Framework. Would Zend_Paginator module be useful in this scenario? Basically I want to evaluate all the possible ways? Which one would be best and/or simplest option given I'm using jQuery and Zend Framework?

  • django urls.py regex isn't working

This is for Django 1.2.5 and Python 2.7 on Wamp Server running apache version 2.2.17. My problem is that the my URLConf in urls.py isn't redirecting, it's just throwing a 404 error. urls.py: from django.conf.urls.defaults import * # Uncomment the next two lines to enable the admin: #from django.contrib import admin #admin.autodiscover() urlpatterns = patterns('', (r'^app/$', include('app.views.index')), # Uncomment the admin/doc line below to enable admin documentation: #(r'^admin/doc/', include('django.contrib.admindocs.urls')), # Uncomment the next line to enable the admin: #(r'^admin/', include(admin.site.urls)), ) views.py from django.http import HttpResponse def index(request): return HttpResponse("Hello World") I'm getting the following error: ImportError at /app/ No module named index I'm stumped as I'm only learning Django, can anybody see something wrong with my code? • use doctest and logging in python program

    - by Luke
#!/usr/bin/python2.4 import logging import sys import doctest def foo(x): """ foo (0) 0 """ print ("%d" %(x)) _logger.debug("%d" %(x)) def _test(): doctest.testmod() _logger = logging.getLogger() _logger.setLevel(logging.DEBUG) _formatter = logging.Formatter('%(message)s') _handler = logging.StreamHandler(sys.stdout) _handler.setFormatter(_formatter) _logger.addHandler(_handler) _test() I would like to use logger module for all of my print statements. I have looked at the first 50 top google links for this, and they seem to agree that doctest uses it's own copy of the stdout. If print is used it works if logger is used it logs to the root console. Can someone please demonstrate a working example with a code snippet that will allow me to combine. Note running nose to test doctest will just append the log output at the end of the test, (assuming you set the switches) it does not treat them as a print statement.

  • What Source Control?

    - by Hein du Plessis
I desperately need source control to manage projects between more than one developer. A long time ago I used Visual Source Safe and it worked quite well. Can anybody recommend a free substitute? I have the following basic requirements: I need to host the repository on my own server. I do not want extra clutter within my source files, like CVS does. I need proper check in / check out, so that nobody can change a module until I've checked it back in. I don't want / need source code merging / branching. We use Delphi for web development, so many html files, images, sql files, etc. Any recommendations?

  • BIND split-view DNS config problem

    - by organicveggie
We have two DNS servers: one external server controlled by our ISP and one internal server controlled by us. I'd like internal requests for foo.example.com to map to 192.168.100.5 and external requests continue to map to 1.2.3.4, so I'm trying to configure a view in bind. Unfortunately, bind fails when I attempt to reload the configuration. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I can't figure out what it is. options { directory "/var/cache/bind"; forwarders { 8.8.8.8; 8.8.4.4; }; auth-nxdomain no; # conform to RFC1035 listen-on-v6 { any; }; }; zone "." { type hint; file "/etc/bind/db.root"; }; zone "localhost" { type master; file "/etc/bind/db.local"; }; zone "127.in-addr.arpa" { type master; file "/etc/bind/db.127"; }; zone "0.in-addr.arpa" { type master; file "/etc/bind/db.0"; }; zone "255.in-addr.arpa" { type master; file "/etc/bind/db.255"; }; view "internal" { zone "example.com" { type master; notify no; file "/etc/bind/db.example.com"; }; }; zone "example.corp" { type master; file "/etc/bind/db.example.corp"; }; zone "100.168.192.in-addr.arpa" { type master; notify no; file "/etc/bind/db.192"; }; I have excluded the entries in the view for allow-recursion and recursion in an attempt to simplify the configuration. If I remove the view and just load the example.com zone directly, it works fine. Any advice on what I might be missing?

  • Stubbing ActiveRecord result arrays

    - by Matthias
Using Ruby 1.8.6, stubbing a finder method to return an Array does not work when the code under test calls the 'count' method on the result: User.any_instance.stubs(:friends).returns([user1, user2]) That's because Array.count has only been added in Ruby 1.8.7. Rails also adds a count method dynamically, I believe through the ActiveRecord::Calculations module. Is there any way to turn this result array into something that behaves exactly as the special Array kind returned by a Rails finder method? When paginating results, it's easy: I can simply call [].paginate. But that doesn't work with normal finder results. I tried [].extend(ActiveRecord::Calculations) but that doesn't work either.

  • MVC Pattern Clarification

    - by Amutha
Just I started learning MVC pattern, ofcourse i am learning it from Microsoft's website.Just i want to gather quiz information from the experts. My understanding is (correct me then and there) 1 ) MVC does not support server side events ,but supports client side events.if it supports client side events,i need html page with jQuery/Javascript (view),but most of the example i absorbed is to display the information(model) in view ,i did not see any client side event handling happens in view. 2) Except ViewState and controlState,MVC supports Sessions,Application State management,Cache management. 3) When request goes to MVC engine ,the routing module routes the request that is picked up by the controller. The controller in executes the appropriate action and return the appropriate view.

  • Problem with stackless python, cannot write to a dict

    - by ANON
I have simple map-reduce type algorithm, which I want to implement in python and make use of multiple cores. I read somewhere that threads using native thread module in 2.6 dont make use of multiple cores. is that true? I even implemented it using stackless python however i am getting into weird errors [Update: a quick search showed that the stack less does not allows multiple cores So are their any other alternatives?] def Propagate(start, end): print "running Thread with range: ",start, end def maxVote(nLabels): count = {} maxList = [] maxCount = 0 for nLabel in nLabels: if nLabel in count: count[nLabel] += 1 else: count[nLabel] = 1 #Check if the count is max if count[nLabel] > maxCount: maxCount = count[nLabel]; maxList = [nLabel,] elif count[nLabel]==maxCount: maxList.append(nLabel) return random.choice(maxList) for num in range(start, end): node=MapList[num] nLabels = [Label[k] for k in Adj[node]] if (nLabels!=[]): Label[node] = maxVote(nLabels) else: Label[node]=node However in above code the values assigned to Label, that is the change in dictionary are lost. Above propagate function is used as callable for MicroThreads (i.e. TaskLets)

  • Can Cython compile to an EXE?

    - by ThantiK
I know what Cythons purpose is. It's to write compilable C extensions in a Python-like language in order to produce speedups in your code. What I would like to know (and can't seem to find using my google-fu) is if Cython can somehow compile into an executable format since it already seems to break python code down into C. I already use Py2Exe, which is just a packager, but am interested in using this to compile down to something that is a little harder to unpack (Anything packed using Py2EXE can basically just be extracted using 7zip which I do not want) It seems if this is not possible my next alternative would just be to compile all my code and load it as a module and then package that using py2exe at least getting most of my code into compiled form, right?
