    In my application I have this code in my view model: hiddenTextContainer.PreHideVerticalOffset = VerticalOffset; hiddenTextContainer.HiddenText = Text.Remove(SelectionStart, SelectionLength); hiddenTextContainer.HasHiddenText = true; hiddenTextContainer.NonHiddenTextStart = SelectionStart; Text = Text.Substring(SelectionStart, SelectionLength); SelectionStart = Text.Length; hiddenTextContainer.ImmediatePostHideVerticalOffset = VerticalOffset; This code is used to hide selected text in a textbox. Text is a string property data bound to the text property of a textbox and VerticalOffset is a double property data bound to the VerticalOffset property of that same textbox. I need to save the VerticalOffset before and after the hiding of selected text takes place, but with my code below both hiddenTextContainer.PreHideVerticalOffset and hiddenTextContainer.ImmediatePostHideVerticalOffset are always set to the same value no matter what. I have figured out that this is because the text of the textbox has not been updated by the time the code reaches: hiddenTextContainer.ImmediatePostHideVerticalOffset = VerticalOffset; Is there any way I can fix this?

  • ODBC - multiple connections from one app to the same data source

    I vaguely remember reading somewhere (in MSDN ODBC documentation?) that one application cannot make more than one connection to a single data source. It seemed to me that I need one connection that all the threads of the application will have to share. I was trying to look this information up, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Does anyone know/remember how this works? It all might become a problem in our app, since some of its threads will dynamically connect to data sources of their choice. I don't want to see random connection errors if two of them will connect at the same time to one source, so I wanted to double check this info.

    I'm really confused with an array im making, its gotten a bit confusing to follow but i believe its the only way for me to approach what im trying to do. My idea here is to store getImageData in an array so i can link each image to an array of data. This is how i create my array: var listObj = { id: uid, extra: [ ctx2.getImageData(abposx,abposy,imgwidth,imgheight) ] }; pixeld.push(listObj); So now im trying to run through the array "pixeld" to find the uid but i don't know how the syntax should be.... this is what i tried: for (j = (pixeld.length-1); j > -1; --j){ if(pixeld[j].extra.data[3] !==0){ //line 220 matches.push(pixeld[j].id); } } The problem is i get this error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '3' of undefined on line 220 I have marked which line is 220 in the for loop. Any one know what my mistake is ?

If I want to plot distribution of strain on x axis I take column n.5. But what kind of value appears on y axis ???     I am learning how to use SQL and Stored Procedures. I know the syntax is incorrect: Copy data from one table into another table on another Database with a Stored Procedure. The problem is I don't know what table or what database to copy to. I want it to use parameters and not specify the columns specifically. I have 2 Databases (Master_db and Master_copy) and the same table structure on each DB. I want to quickly select a table in Master_db and copy that table's data into Master_copy table with same name.   • How should I capture clickstream data?

    I'd like to start using clickstream analysis to improve a dynamic site's user experience. I'd like to rule out two options: parameterizing URLs (index.php?src=http://www.example.com) and immediate database logging. The former makes pretty ugly URLs and isn't great for SEO and the latter might slow down page render when there are lots of concurrent users. Assuming these aren't viable options, I think I'm left with doing an asynchronous POST to a server side script that runs a database query and returns a 204 (no data) response. Is this the best option for capturing clickstream data?

  • Class properties vs NSArray / NSDictionary

    I want a custom class object to hold data and have somehow the feeling that creating about 80 properties is not the best way of doing it. Most of the properties would be bool values, so i'm thinking about creating Arrays (keys / values) or (probably better) a NSDictionary attached to the object for holding the data. Does that make sense or should i stay with the properties? Extra: Are there general pros and cons for the different approaches? And what keywords / concepts do i have to search for to find discussions about that somehow general question? Thanks in advance

    i have a datasheet that looks like this: ID name_ 1 2 3 4 1 name1 x 0 0 0 2 name2 0 x 0 0 3 name3 0 0 x 0 4 name4 0 0 0 x i have rectangles on a report that correspond to this datasheet. when the report opens, i need the rectangles to be colored RED according to the data. for example where name1 and there is an x in the 1 column, i need the specific rectangle corresponding to this (name1, 1) to be colored red. here is the result that i will need: x x x x (where x is a rectangle that is RED) perhaps the best place to place this code would be in ON LOAD event of the report, but i am not sure exactly. can you please suggest to me some code that would turn the specified rectangles RED according to the data?

But when I changed the ID number that was not in the table already it works well. The code is below.     Hi, I need to take data from external file and format it, the problem is, i want to have that data stored into a variable. Load method works for me, because i need to load not the whole document, but just a part of it, but then again, i want to load to variable and not to some dom element. $.get can do this, but it doesn't support selectors. Is there any way I could make this? Now examples: Mine external file consists of a table, which has format like this: <table><tr><td><img /></td></tr><tr><td><a></a></td><td><span></span></td></tr></table> I need to extract img, a and span tags because I need them to be displayed in different order than they're now. So, is there any chance for me that i could make this work? Thanks.

    There are a lot of articles devoted to working with data in MVC, and nothing about MVC 2. So my question is: what is the proper way to handle POST-query and validate it. Assume we have 2 actions. Both of them operates over the same entity, but each action has it's own separated set of object properties that should be bound in automatic manner. For example: Action "A" should bind only "Name" property of object, taken from POST-request Action "B" should bind only "Date" property of object, taken from POST-request As far as I understand - we cannot use Bind attribute in this case. So - what are the best practices in MVC2 to handle POST-data and probably validate it.

    Hi, I have one tables ids in an array and they are ordered in the way I want and I have to select data from another table using those ids and in a order they are listen in the array. Pretty confusing but I was thinking of two solutions giving ORDER BY parameter the array but I do not know if that possible and another is to get all the necessary data and then turn it to array (mysql_fetch_assoc) then compare those two and somehow order the new array using the ids array. But I also do not know how to do this... Any ideas?

  • Compressing digitalized document images

    Hello, We are now required by law to digitalize all the financial documents in our company and submit them to evaluations every 3 months. Since this is sensitive data we decided to take matters into our own hands and build some sort of digital data archiver. The tool works perfectly, but after 7 months of usage we are begining to worry about the disk space used by these images. Here some info on the amount of documents digitalized: 15K documents scanned and archived per day, with final PNG size of +- 860KB: 15 000 * 860 kilobits = 1.53779984 gigabytes 30 days of work per month: 1.53779984 gigabytes * 30 = 46.1339952 gigabytes Expectation of disk space usage after 1 year: 46.1339952 gigabytes * 12 = 553.607942 gigabytes So far we're at 424 gigabytes of disk space used, without counting backup. We're using PNG as image format, but I would like to know if anyone have any advice on a better compression algorithm for images or alternative strategies for compressing the PNG's even more or even better ways to archive images as to save disk space. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

And my query looks like this: mysql_select_db("school", $con); $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM student WHERE IDNO=".(int)$_GET['id']); ?> There is no problem in the design if the id does not start with the number zero. What might be the proper data type for numbers beginning in zero?

    I have made a site where all my highscores from my game are shown. I send the scores from my iphone game to my site using a script made with php. The script works, because if I enter the link produced by my app in my browser the score is added. However I want to send the scores from my app. The script is using the GET method to get name, scores etcetera. This is what i have now: NSURLRequest *request = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:[NSURL URLWithString:urlString]]; NSError * e; NSData *data = [NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest:request returningResponse:nil error:&e]; But it's not sending data to my server.   • public (static) swap() method vs. redundant (non-static) private ones...

    I'm revisiting data structures and algorithms to refresh my knowledge and from time to time I stumble across this problem: Often, several data structures do need to swap some elements on the underlying array. So I implement the swap() method in ADT1, ADT2 as a private non-static method. The good thing is, being a private method I don't need to check on the parameters, the bad thing is redundancy. But if I put the swap() method in a helper class as a public static method, I need to check the indices every time for validity, making the swap call very unefficient when many swaps are done. So what should I do? Neglect the performance degragation, or write small but redundant code?
