  • How do you change the textLabel when UITableViewCell is selected?

    - by Ike
    I want to change the textLabel and detailTextLabel of a cell when it has been selected. I've tried the following, but no change occurs: - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { MyAppDelegate *appDelegate = (MyPhoneAppDelegate*)[[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath]; cell.detailTextLabel.text = @"xxxxx"; cell.textLabel.text = @"zzzzz"; [tableView reloadData]; }

  • Is it possible to run locally JRuby on Google App Engine without restarting server on every change?

    - by elado
    Unfortunately, GAE requires restart of the server on each code change. Is it possible to prevent it and have immediate feedback after code save? Or, can I import Google App Engine's API into my ruby code and run it on Sinatra server? Tried this but it fails on "import com.google.appengine.api" (it doesn't know what 'com' is). For Sinatra, I use "Rerun" ( http://github.com/alexch/rerun ) which restarts server immediately after a change with minimum wait. Thanks.

  • Is it possible to have yui editor change paragraph style without selecting text?

    - by user126861
    Is it possible to change the behavior of the yui text editor so that when you make markup changes (via the toolbar bar buttons), for example changing from a paragraph to say a heading or to a list, and you dont have any text selected it assumes you mean the current block that the cursor is in So to change a paragraph to a heading rather than selecting the whole line you just place the cursor somewhere in the paragraph and select heading from the styles drop down.

  • How to bind to localStorage change event using jQuery for all browsers?

    - by David Glenn
    How do I bind a function to the HTML5 localStorage change event using jQuery? $(function () { $(window).bind('storage', function (e) { alert('storage changed'); }); localStorage.setItem('a', 'test'); }); I've tried the above but the alert is not showing. Update: It works in Firefox 3.6 but it doesn't work in Chrome 8 or IE 8 so the question should be more 'How to bind to localStorage change event using jQuery for all browsers?'

  • How do I tag files in a directory in a SVN repository with a global version number that will appear

    - by mithaldu
    I am working on a project that stores multiple versions in the same svn repo but in different directories. For ease of reference for the coders working on the project I'd like to be able to add a commented tag similarly to # $Revision: 144 $ However, instead of the file revision it should contain a simple version number like so: # $Version: 1.63 $ # $Version: 1.64 $ # $Version: 2.0 $ Is there a way to get subversion to do this automatically for a specific directory and all sub-directories as well as for any new files added to those?

  • Biggest performance improvement you've had with the smallest change?

    - by JoelFan
    What's the biggest performance improvement you've had with the smallest change? For example, I once improved the performance of a certain page on a high-profile web app by a factor of 10, just by moving "where customerID = ?" to a different place inside a complicated SQL statement (before my change it had been selecting all customers in a join, then later selecting out the desired customer).

  • Handle property change event listeners (lots of them) more elegantly (dictionary?)

    - by no9
    hELLO ! Here i have a simple class example with three fields of type class B and some other stuff. As you can see im listening on every child object change. Since i could need alot of properties of type class B i wonder if there is a way of shrinking the code. Creating a listener + a method for each seems like i will have ALOT of code. How would i fix this ... using a dictionary or something similar? I have been told that IoC could fix this, but im not sure where to start. public class A : INotifyPropertyChanged { public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; public int _id; public int Id { get { return _id; } set { if (_id == value) { return; } _id = value; OnPropertyChanged("Id"); } } public string _name; public string Name { get { return _name; } set { if (_name == value) { return; } _name = value; OnPropertyChanged("Name"); } } public B _firstB; public B FirstB { get { return _firstB; } set { if (_firstB == value) { return; } if (_firstB != null) { FirstB.PropertyChanged -= firstObjectB_Listener; } _firstB = value; if (_firstB != null) FirstB.PropertyChanged += new PropertyChangedEventHandler(firstObjectB_Listener); OnPropertyChanged("FirstB"); } } public B _secondB; public B SecondB { get { return _secondB; } set { if (_secondB == value) { return; } if (_secondB != null) { FirstB.PropertyChanged -= secondObjectB_Listener; } _secondB = value; if (_secondB != null) SecondB.PropertyChanged += new PropertyChangedEventHandler(secondObjectB_Listener); OnPropertyChanged("FirstB"); } } public B _thirdB; public B ThirdB { get { return _thirdB; } set { if (_thirdB == value) { return; } if (_thirdB != null) { ThirdB.PropertyChanged -= thirdObjectB_Listener; } _thirdB = value; if (_thirdB != null) ThirdB.PropertyChanged += new PropertyChangedEventHandler(thirdObjectB_Listener); OnPropertyChanged("ThirdB"); } } protected void OnPropertyChanged(string name) { PropertyChangedEventHandler handler = PropertyChanged; if (handler != null) { handler(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(name)); } } void firstObjectB_Listener(object sender, PropertyChangedEventArgs e) { Console.WriteLine("Object A has found a change of " + e.PropertyName + " on first object B"); } void secondObjectB_Listener(object sender, PropertyChangedEventArgs e) { Console.WriteLine("Object A has found a change of " + e.PropertyName + " on second object B"); } void thirdObjectB_Listener(object sender, PropertyChangedEventArgs e) { Console.WriteLine("Object A has found a change of " + e.PropertyName + " on third object B"); } }
