  • Java error starting with "log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger" in ZuckerReports SugarC

    Greetings all. I apologise for posting this problem here, but I do so in desperation after receiving no response on the SugarCRM forums. Even if a reader is unfamiliar with ZuckerReports or SugarCRM some general advice on Java may be of use to me. I have installed ZuckerReports v1.12 in SugarCRM 5.5.1. When I attempt to run a report I get the following error message. cmdline: javaw -classpath The installation in which the report runs correctly is of the same version, and has the same version of the ZuckerReports module. The report previously ran correctly on both installations. I think that the only changes that have been made on the installation in which the report now does not work since the report was last successfully run are the additions of a few custom fields in the Contacts module. These changes should have nothing to do with ZuckerReports. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ZuckerReports module, but the problem remains. A google search for the warnings given in the error message ie. * log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (net.sf.jasperreports.extensions.ExtensionsEnviron ment). * log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. Returns a few links (not specific to ZuckerReports) with tips similar to the following: * log4j.properties or log4j.xml needs to be on the classpath where log4j can find it. I cannot find a file with either of those names anywhere on my server, and yet the report can be run successfully on one of my SugarCRM installations. So I figure log4j must be being configured another way. Can anyone suggest a way to solve this problem? Or explain how I might discover how log4j is configured in ZuckerReports? Or explain how I might compare the working with the non-working installation in order to help find a solution? (I have tried searching for files containing "log4j" in both installations and comparing but all I can find are .jar files (nothing I can read with a text editor), and the .jar files found in each installation appear to be the same.)

  • Root certificate authority works windows/linux but not mac osx - (malformed)

    I have created a self-signed root certificate authority which if I install onto windows, linux, or even using the certificate store in firefox (windows/linux/macosx) will work perfectly with my terminating proxy. I have installed it into the system keychain and I have set the certificate to always trust. Within the chrome browser details it says "The certificate that Chrome received during this connection attempt is not formatted correctly, so Chrome cannot use it to protect your information. Error type: Malformed certificate" I used this code to create the certificate: openssl genrsa -des3 -passout pass:***** -out private/server.key 4096 openssl req -batch -passin pass:***** -new -x509 -nodes -sha1 -days 3600 -key private/server.key -out server.crt -config ../openssl.cnf If the issue is NOT that it is malformed (because it works everywhere else) then what else could it be? Am I installing it incorrectly? To be clear: Within the windows/linux OS, all browsers work perfectly. Within mac only firefox works if it uses its internal certificate store and not the keychain. It's the keychain method of importing a certificate that causes the issue. Thus, all browsers using the keychain will not work.   • How to debug a program as admin within Visual Studio

    I'm running VS2K8 in Win7 64-bit. I'm logged in as admin and I'm running it as admin, but the program I'm working on fails with access denied when I call a restricted API. If run the program from Explorer with "Run as Administrator" it works. I was under the belief that VS2K8 debugs programs with whatever rights VS2K8 itself is running with. As it stands I can't debug my application due to this and I'm at a loss as to what's going on.

    I'm trying to build a REST API through Nginx and everything works fine except when I the requests are PUT or DELETE. In these cases, Nginx returns 444 (no response). I did some research and all I could find was something about Nginx being configured with the "--with-http_dav_module" option. I've checked that with nginx -V and and it seems that it was configured with this. So, any idea what else could it be?

server part): Server (172.22.37.4) is Windows Server 2008 R2 and client (192.168.4.213) is Ericsson telephone exchange of whom I do not know much. Client sends a file to server using FTAM protocol. This problem happens very often. I think, either client or server is doing sliding window protocol wrong. Server sends dup ack, client retransmits lost packet, but soon after client sends packets with wrong seq. Again, Server sends dup ack, client retransmits lost packet - but, this time with longer retransmission timeout. Again, client sends packet with wrong seq. Etc... Retransmission timeout grows to circa 4 minutes and communications never recovers to normal.

    Google has an API which can determine someone's location based on the wifi router names which a user's computer can see. You will see this if you go to google maps and your browser may ask if you would like to share location data. I am wondering if there is any way to disable this on a system wide setting rather than just in each browser (Chrome can do this too). Is there any way I can limit which applications have a list of the wireless routers I can see?

    I have a Solaris 10 server on another network. I can ping it and telnet to it, but ssh doesn't connect. PuTTY log contains nothing of interest (they both negotiate to ssh v2) and then I get "Event Log: Network error: Software caused connection abort". ssh is defintely running: svcs -a | grep ssh online 12:12:04 svc:/network/ssh:default Here's an extract from the server's /var/adm/messages (anonymised) Jun 8 19:51:05 ******* sshd[26391]: [ID 800047 auth.crit] fatal: Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer However, if I telnet to the box, I can login to ssh locally. I can also ssh to other (non-Solaris) machines on that network fine so I don't believe that it's a network issue (though, since I'm a few hundred miles away, I can't be sure). The server's firewall is disabled, so that shouldn't be a problem root@******** # svcs -a | grep -i ipf disabled Apr_27 svc:/network/ipfilter:default Any ideas what I should start checking?
