Hello,
I'm looking for some source code implementing 3d convolution. Ideally, I need C++ code or CUDA code. I'd appreciate if anybody can point me to a nice and fast implementation :-)
Cheers
It seems (at least that is our understanding of the issue at this point) that given a background image in BIRT, the PDF generation routine repeats the image information inside the PDF instead of having it once referenced as the background image of all pages of the PDF.
This causes our BIRT generated PDFs to be too large. Is there a way to get BIRT to only store the image once inside the PDF and have it be the background image on each page of the PDF while keeping the file size more reasonable?
I am new to powerbuilder and having a lot of trouble using datawindows. I can't get my head around the insert mechanism of it. Can someone explain it to me, or at least point me in the right direction(article, tips etc...) ?
I want to convert MS word formatted documents to images and pdf. I am well versed with Java. I was looking for apis using which I can do the same.
Can anyone please point me to that ?
If you know the best alternatives even though they are for other languages , please update me about that.
Hi,
is it possible to know the time at which a contact was created. Actually I want to find all contacts created after a particular time (say 12:00 pm 29th march 2010).
I thought that the contact ids were assigned in an increasing order and just noting the largest id at that point would suffice. But with Android 2.0, the internal sync may merge a contact with an existing one and hence assign an older id to it.
I hope I have made my question clear
Can anyone point me to a schema or a list of properties valid inside the C# csproj file? I've looked, but don't appear to be able to find any documentation on it.
I've been using Imagemagick's mogrify on Cygwin, but at some point it stopped working. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling, but still no go.
When I try to run mogrify it trows this error :
/usr/bin/mogrify.exe: error while loading shared libraries: ?: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Anyone have any hints on what's causing this ?
Would it be smart to have a vector in an object with a list of pointers that point to it?
This way when the object is deleted, it could delete all the pointers pointing to it to prevent a null-pointer exception?
Hi All,
I have had thoughts of trying to write a simple crawler that might crawl and produce a list of its findings for our NPO's websites and content.
Does anybody have any thoughts on how to do this? Where do you point the crawler to get started? How does it send back its findings and still keep crawling? How does it know what it finds, etc, etc.
Thanks!

As far as i have scourged the web, i can see an abundance of articles on how to setup Nusoap and use it to setup a soap server/client in PHP.
However, none of them seem to point to any advantages of using it than PHP's own native SOAP library. Can anyone tell me what are the pros/cons between :
Nusoap
PHP
SOAP
PEAR::SOAP
Zend SOAP

Hi
I'm learning Haskell and I'd like to write some multithreaded programs now to see the performance gains from that in a functional language. I can find some references to it on the internet but never a proper introduction to it. Can anyone point me to a guide which is understandable for someone who knows the syntax fairly well, but is not a wizard in Haskell?
I'm sure I'm missing the obvious answer here, but could use a hand. I'm new to SubSonic and using version 3. I've got myself to the point of being able to query and insert, but I'm stuck with how I would get the value of the identity column back after my insert. I saw another post that mentioned Linq Templates. I'm not using those (at least I don't think I am...?)
TIA
Hi,
If I am running an organization that has 50 .net developers and all are using sql server, what is the best way to make single sql server available to them?
Here is some of the concerns that I want to be careful about
Should I configure database users per project or per user? or both?
Should I provide single sql server instance?
There are some more concerns but I think getting answer of these two will be a good starting point.
Hey!
I have a cool bit of dojo running where I click a button - and it brings a success message on the screen via javascript. Is it possible to issue a call to a server side Groovy script foo.groovy from within this Javascript - because not only do I want to show the cool success message - but I need to do some work in the background at that point also.
Thanks
Andy
Hi,
My Hash Table implementation has a function to resize the table when the load reaches about 70%. My Hash Table is implemented with separate chaining for collisions.
Does it make sense that I should resize the hash table down at any point or should I just leave it like it is? Otherwise, if I increase the size (by almost double, actually I follow this: http://planetmath.org/encyclopedia/GoodHashTablePrimes.html) when the load is 70%, should I resize it down when the load gets 30% or below?
Hi,
I'm interested in finding out more about the Microsoft Office Communicator IM client, and how it determines your presence (i.e if you are at your computer or away). Can anyone point me towards a tutorial that explains this, or details of the API?
Thanks, MagicAndi
In Fabric, there is a "sudo" method which allows one to run the sudo command on remote server. How do I run sudo command on local server? Like, should I use the following command?
local('sudo rm -R /home/user1/tmp/')
I tried to use the fabric api sudo() and point to localhost but it doesn't work.
Thanks!
Hi,
I am looking for some service that can transform GPS coordinates into XY coordinates so that I can plot a point on an Image. Something like fromLatLngToContainerPixel would be great.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I am developing a desktop application in java.

Can I user mono's AOT (Ahead of Time compilation) feature to natively "pre-compile" all or part of some of my own .NET DLLs (and or EXEs) to make them harder to reverse engineer? I'm using Windows (7 / x64 but I have an x86 XP machine as well) and .NET 3.5 (VS 2008) and I'm curious if mono/AOT can be/has been used for this purpose? (Tying them to x86 is acceptable at this point.)
See also this question where I tried this and had no luck.
I'm starting a new web project and I was planning to use a CSS reset stylesheet to have the same starting point styles in all major browsers. Have you used CSS resets? Would you recommend it?

For given floating point numbers x and a, I would like to compute r (and n) such that x = a*n + r . In C/C++ this function is called fmod. However I do not see a convenient function in .NET. Math.DivRem is only for integers ...
Hello, I'm developing an AI sandbox and I would like to calculate what every living entity can see.
The rule is to simply hide what's behind the edges of the shapes from the point of view of the entity. The image clarifies everything:
I need it either as an input to the artificial intelligence either graphically, to show it for a specific entity while it moves..
Any cool ideas?
This is the standard question, "How do I set a process limit for a user account in Linux to prevent fork-bombing," with an additional twist. The running program originates as a root-owned Python process, which then setuids/setgids itself as a regular user. As far as I know, at this point, any limits set in /etc/security/limits.conf do not apply; the setuid-ed process may now fork bomb. Any ideas how to prevent this?
