• Gnome Shell Theme Problem on Ubuntu 11.10

  I am trying to install ANewStart GNOME shell themes on Ubuntu 11.10. I have installed gnome shell extension for themes: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/gnome3 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gnome-shell-extensions-user-theme I got the instructions from here ANewStart GNOME Shell Theme + AwOken Icons Theme = Pure Art. But when I go to "Advanced Settings - Shell Extensions" its empty... There is nothing. Also there is a orange triangle sign next to Shell Theme drop down in Advanced Settings - Theme. • django/python: is one view that handles two separate models a good idea?

  I am using django multi-table inheritance: Video and Image are models derived from Media. I have implemented two views: video_list and image_list, which are just proxies to media_list. media_list returns images or videos (based on input parameter model) for a certain object, which can be of type Event, Member, or Crag. It alters its behaviour based on input parameter action, which can be either "edit" or "view". The problem is that I need to ask whether the input parameter model contains Video or Image in media_list so that I can do the right thing. Similar condition is also in helper method media_edit_list that is called from the view. I don't particularly like it but the only alternative I can think of is to have separate logic for video_list and image_list and then probably also separate helper methods for videos and images: video_edit_list, image_edit_list, video_view_list, image_view_list. So four functions instead of just two. That I like even less because the video functions would be very similar to the respective image functions. What do you recommend? • WebDav issue with Mac OS X 10.5.3 onwards

  Hi, We upgraded to Mac OS X 10.5.3 and getting problem when uploading files (PUT) to a webdav server (the server is Apache running on a Windows environment). When we drag and drop on to a webdav folder using Finder we get a -36 error. When looking at the stack trace of the web server the problem is due to INVALID CRLF or some times getting the following error. Both the stack point to error when copying the stream. When googled found that it is because the Mac changed to Transfer-Encoding to 'Chunked' ClientAbortException: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: socket write error at • Iphone xCode - Navigation Controller on second xib view?

  I have a program that uses urllib to periodically fetch a url, and I see intermittent errors like : I/O error(socket error): [Errno 111] Connection refused. It works 90% of the time, but the othe r10% it fails. If retry the fetch immediately after it fails, it succeeds. I'm unable to figure out why this is so. I tried to see if any ports are available, and they are. Any debugging ideas?   This concerns iPhoneOS-sdk-3.2 I am having difficulty changing the border color of a grouped UITableView. I can change the cell background color, separator color, text color, quite easily now, and the rounded corners clip correctly, even when highlighted with whatever colors I have chosen. However the surrounding border remains infuriatingly gray despite many different attempts. I have read all of the related posts I can find via Google, let alone stackoverflow. I have tried both a programmatic and xib-based solution and both provide the same results.   I'm trying to make an image scale inside of a QGraphicsView and having zero success.   Building a search with some custom objects and three scopes: All, Active, and Former. Whenever I activate a scope, I'm not getting any matches for it. Just a note that I've seen approaches like this one that take scope into account, however they only search inside one property.

  I have a view controller that is showing in portrait mode. When you touch the "menu" button, it calls the code below and it flips up to the MainMenu controller. • UIScrollView without paging but with touchesmoved

  I have a UIScrollView that I use to display PDF pages in. I don't want to use paging (yet). I want to display content based on touchesmoved event (so after horizontal swipe). This works (sort of), but instead of catching a single swipe and showing 1 page, the swipe seems to gets broken into 100s of pieces and 1 swipe acts as if you're moving a slider! I have no clue what am I doing wrong.   I'm trying to answer the following question out of personal interest: What is the fastest way to send 100,000 HTTP requests in Python? And this is what I have came up so far, but I'm experiencing something very stange. When installSignalHandlers is True, it just hangs. I can see that the DelayedCall instances are in reactor._newTimedCalls, but processResponse never gets called. I have a Page model, a SoftwareModule model, and some other models that define content on our website, each with their get_absolute_url() defined. I'd like for my users to be able to assign any Page instance a list of objects, of any type, including other page instances. This list will become that Page instance's sub-menu. • iPhone: Utility Application - Open Flipside on startup

  I have an application that I started with the Utility Application template. I'm using the Flipside for the Settings screen. I'm having the settings serialized to a file when the app is closed and deserialized when the app is opened. If there is no file to deserialize at startup, I want the flipside to be shown so the user can enter required information. This is what I have: - (void)viewDidLoad { flipController = [[FlipsideViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"FlipsideView" bundle:nil]; flipController.delegate = self; flipController.modalTransitionStyle = UIModalTransitionStyleFlipHorizontal; if(![self deserialize]) { [self showInfo]; } } - (IBAction)showInfo { [self presentModalViewController:flipController animated:YES]; } showInfo is the method that is called with the little 'i' button is pressed on the MainView. The button works, however my call in viewDidLoad doesn't. I have run through my code with the debugger. [self deserialize] is returning NO and [self showInfo] is being called, and I checked if flipController is nil in that context, and it's not. I've searched around and couldn't find anyone who's tried to do the same thing. I'm stumped to as why this isn't working. Anyone see what I'm doing wrong? Thanks
