  • Broadcasting an intent to a specific component.

    - by Nic Strong
    I have an activity that is starting a background operation in another service. This activity receives various notifications from this service. As part of the intent I use to initiate the background operation I pass extra data with the context of my activity so the background service can broadcast intents back to me (the download service is a good example of this usage). So in the activity I use the following to attach the context: intent.putExtra(Intents.EXTRA_NOTIFICATION_PACKAGE, IntentTestActivity.this.getPackageName()); intent.putExtra(Intents.EXTRA_NOTIFICATION_CLASS, IntentTestActivity.class.getCanonicalName()); intent.putExtra(Intents.EXTRA_NOTIFICATION_EXTRAS, myContext); I register for the notifications in the activity: IntentFilter intentFilter = new IntentFilter(); intentFilter.addAction(Intents.ACTION_NOTIFICATION); intentFilter.addCategory(Intents.CATEGORY_COMPLETION); intentFilter.addCategory(Intents.CATEGORY_PROGRESSS); Intent intent = registerReceiver(receiver, intentFilter); In the background service I send notifications with the following code: void broadcastNotification(String action, String category, String packageName, String className, String extras, int operationResult) { Intent intent = new Intent(action); intent.addCategory(category); intent.setClassName(packageName, className); if (extras != null) { intent.putExtra(Intents.EXTRA_NOTIFICATION_EXTRAS, extras); } intent.putExtra(Intents.EXTRA_OPERATION_RESULT, operationResult); context.sendBroadcast(intent); } My problem is that the above broadcast will never be received. If however I comment out the line intent.setClassName(packageName, className); Then the broadcast is received. Is it a problem with my filter? Do I have to specify intents intended for a specific component? Or cannot I not use such fine grain control over the delivery of broadcasts. Thanks, Nic

  • How to use RelativeLayout to make a custom component on Android

    - by Styggentorsken
    I'm trying to make a custom component based on buttons without having to deal with all the layout myself. The problem is that i can't find a way to make use of RelativeLayout to draw the thing. This is my latest attempt. A bitmap is returned by layoutManager.getDrawingCache(), but it does not show any buttons. canvas.drawColor(...) however works. public class MyView extends View { Button myButton; RelativeLayout layoutManager; public MyView(Context context) { super(context); initMyView(); } public MyView(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context); initMyView(); // ... } public void initMyView() { layoutManager = new RelativeLayout(getContext()); } @Override protected void onMeasure(int widthMeasureSpec, int heightMeasureSpec) { setMeasuredDimension( MeasureSpec.getSize(measureSpec), MeasureSpec.getSize(measureSpec) ); } @Override protected void onDraw(Canvas canvas) { super.onDraw(canvas); myButton = new Button(layoutManager.getContext()); myButton.setVisibility(VISIBLE); myButton.setDrawingCacheEnabled(true); layoutManager.addView(myButton); layoutManager.setDrawingCacheEnabled(true); layoutManager.layout(0, 0, 150, 150); layoutManager.setVisibility(VISIBLE); layoutManager.buildDrawingCache(); layoutManager.draw(canvas); canvas.drawBitmap(layoutManager.getDrawingCache(), 0.0f, 0.0f, null); } }

  • How to copy x and y coordinate from one Flex component to another

    - by Tam
    Hi, I would like to base one component's x and y cooridnates according to another, I tried using the binding notation but it doesn't seem to work! <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <s:VGroup xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo" xmlns:vld ="com.lal.validators.*" xmlns:effect="com.lal.effects.*" xmlns:components="com.lal.components.*" width="400" height="100%" right="0" horizontalAlign="right" verticalCenter="0"> ...... <s:VGroup width="125" height="100%" horizontalAlign="right" gap="0" width.normal="153" x.normal="247" width.expanded="199" x.expanded="201"> ...... <s:Panel includeIn="expanded" id="buttonsGroup" mouseOut="changeStateToNormal();" mouseOver="stopChangeToNormal();" skinClass="com.lal.skins.TitlelessPanel" title="hi" right="0" width="125" height="700" > ..... <s:Label text="Jump To Date" paddingTop="20" /> <s:TextInput id="wholeDate" width="100" mouseOver="stopChangeToNormal();" click="date1.visible = true" focusOut="date1.visible = false"/> ... </s:Panel> </s:VGroup> <mx:DateChooser id="date1" change="useDate(event); this.visible = false; " visible="false" mouseOver="stopChangeToNormal();" y="{wholeDate.y}" x="{wholeDate.x}" /> </s:VGroup>

  • NHibernate.QueryException with dynamic-component

    - by Ken
    OK, this is going to be kind of a long shot, since it's a big system (which I don't claim to fully understand, yet), and the problem might not be with NHibernate itself, and I'm even having trouble reproducing it, but... I've got a class with a <dynamic-component section, and when I run a query on it (through my ASP.NET MVC app), it fails, but only sometimes. (Yeah, the worst kind!) The exception I'm seeing is: NHibernate.QueryException: could not resolve property: Attributes.MyAttributeName of: MyClassName at NHibernate.Persister.Entity.AbstractPropertyMapping.GetColumns(String propertyName) at NHibernate.Persister.Entity.AbstractPropertyMapping.ToColumns(String alias, String propertyName) at NHibernate.Persister.Entity.BasicEntityPropertyMapping.ToColumns(String alias, String propertyName) at NHibernate.Persister.Entity.AbstractEntityPersister.ToColumns(String alias, String propertyName) at NHibernate.Loader.Criteria.CriteriaQueryTranslator.GetColumns(String propertyName, ICriteria subcriteria) at NHibernate.Loader.Criteria.CriteriaQueryTranslator.GetColumnsUsingProjection(ICriteria subcriteria, String propertyName) at NHibernate.Criterion.CriterionUtil.GetColumnNamesUsingPropertyName(ICriteriaQuery criteriaQuery, ICriteria criteria, String propertyName, Object value, ICriterion critertion) at NHibernate.Criterion.CriterionUtil.GetColumnNamesForSimpleExpression(String propertyName, IProjection projection, ICriteriaQuery criteriaQuery, ICriteria criteria, IDictionary`2 enabledFilters, ICriterion criterion, Object value) at NHibernate.Criterion.SimpleExpression.ToSqlString(ICriteria criteria, ICriteriaQuery criteriaQuery, IDictionary`2 enabledFilters) at NHibernate.Loader.Criteria.CriteriaQueryTranslator.GetWhereCondition(IDictionary`2 enabledFilters) at NHibernate.Loader.Criteria.CriteriaJoinWalker..ctor(IOuterJoinLoadable persister, CriteriaQueryTranslator translator, ISessionFactoryImplementor factory, CriteriaImpl criteria, String rootEntityName, IDictionary`2 enabledFilters) at NHibernate.Loader.Criteria.CriteriaLoader..ctor(IOuterJoinLoadable persister, ISessionFactoryImplementor factory, CriteriaImpl rootCriteria, String rootEntityName, IDictionary`2 enabledFilters) at NHibernate.Impl.SessionImpl.List(CriteriaImpl criteria, IList results) at NHibernate.Impl.CriteriaImpl.List(IList results) at NHibernate.Impl.CriteriaImpl.UniqueResult[T]() ...my code below here... Can anybody explain exactly what this QueryException means, i.e., so I can have an idea of what exactly it thinks is going wrong? Thanks!

  • Detect NetStream events with AS3 Video Object (not component)

    - by JFOX
    I have created a FLV video player using the AS3 flash.media.Video object (not the FLV playback component) and I am trying to listen for meta events and Cue Points embedded in the FLV video but I am not receiving any when I trace the movie. The cue points are not being created dynamically, they are in the FLV video. Video embed code: // Initialize net stream nc = new NetConnection(); nc.connect (null); // Not using a media server. ns = new NetStream(nc); // Add video to stage vid = new Video(456,675); addChild (vid); // Add callback method for listening on // NetStream meta data client = new Object(); ns.client = client; client.onMetaData = this.nsMetaDataCallback; client.onCuePoint = this.onCuePoint; // Play video vid.attachNetStream ( ns ); ns.play ("flv/00_010.flv"); callback handlers in the same class as the above code: public function onCuePoint(info:Object):void { trace("cuePoint: time = " + info.time + " name = " + info.name + " type = " + info.type); if (ns) ns.pause(); } public function nsMetaDataCallback (mdata:Object):void { trace (mdata.duration); } Is there anything I am missing have wrong to capture events from my net stream?

  • Javascript Rich Display Component/Methodology

    - by Laramie
    quick back story-- I am working on ASP.Net based template editor that lets authors create text templates using Javascript inserted placeholder tags that will be filled in with dynamic text when the templates are used to display the final results. For example the author might create a template like The word [%12#add] was generated dynamically. The application would eventually replace the tag with a dynamic word down the road (though it's not specifically relevant to this post) The word foo was generated dynmamically. Depending on the circumstances, the template may be created in a text input, textarea or a modified version of the Ajax Control Toolkit HTML Editor. There might be 40 or more of these editable elements on the page, so using lots of stripped down or modified HTML editors would probably bog the page down too much. The problem is that the tags such as [%12#add] are displayed inline with the user text and the result is confusing and aesthetically gross. The goal is parse the contens of the source element and when a tags such as [%12#add] are encountered, display something prettier and less cryptic to the user such as a stylable element or image wherever tags such as [%12#add] occur. The application still needs the template text with the tags on postback. So the user might see The word tag placeholder was generated dynamically. but the original template would still be the value of the text input box The word [%12#add] was generated dynamically. It seems HTML editors like the ACT version and FckEditor accomplish this by rendering their output in an IFrame, but rather than kill myself trying to roll a lighter specialized version myself, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of an existing free component or approach that has already tackled this. With good reason, I don't think S.O. allows HTML formatting, but the bold "tag placeholder" above would ideally be something like tag placeholder.

  • Correct Delphi compiler switches to stop in the user's code, not my component's

    - by Jeremy Mullin
    I'm modifying our VCL components so the end user's application links to our dcu files, instead of building our source code each time. We have everything working, but I want the debugger to stop on the user's code when an exception is raised. At first it would stop in our dcu and open the CPU window. I was able to prevent that by removing debug info from the dcu files. But now it still doesn't stop in the users code (like DevExpress libraries and others do). The following screencast is a short example. The first time I cause an exception in the DevExpress code, and the debugger correctly stops in my button event. The second time I cause an exception in my components, but the debugger doesn't have my button event on the call stack, and doesn't show me where the problem was. Any ideas why? http://screencast.com/t/NjhlOTRk Currently building the DCU's with these options: -$W+ -$D- -h -w -q Update: The TDataSet methods in between my component and the button event seem to cause this behavior. If I instead call a direct method of my table, I get the expected behavior. I'm guessing there isn't anything I can do about this, but I'm still curious why it happens.

  • autologin component doesn't work on remote server

    - by user606521
    I am using autologin component from http://milesj.me/code/cakephp/auto-login (v 3.5.1). It works on my localhost WAMP server but fails on remote server. I am using this settings in beforeFilter() callback: $this->AutoLogin->settings = array( // Model settings 'model' => 'User', 'username' => 'username', 'password' => 'password', // Controller settings 'plugin' => '', 'controller' => 'users', // Cookie settings 'cookieName' => 'rememberMe', 'expires' => '+1 month', // Process logic 'active' => true, 'redirect' => true, 'requirePrompt' => true ); On remote server it simply doesn't autolog users after the browser was closed. I can't figure out what may cause the problem. -------------------- edit I figured out what is causing the problem but I don't know how to fix this. First of all cookie is set like this: $this->Cookie->write('key',array('username' => 'someusername', 'hash' => 'somehash', ...) ); Then it's readed like this: $cookie = $this->Cookie->read('key'); On my WAMP server $cookie is array('username' => 'someusername', 'hash' => 'somehash', ...) and on remote server returned $cookie is string(159) "{\"username\":\"YWxlay5iYXJzsdsdZXdza2ldssd21haWwuY29t\",\"password\":\"YWxlazc3ODEy\",\"hash\":\"aa15bffff9ca12cdcgfgb351d8bfg2f370bf458\",\"time\":1339923926}" and it should be: array( 'username' => "YWxlay5iYXJzsdsdZXdza2ldssd21haWwuY29t", 'password' => "YWxlazc3ODEy", ...) Why the retuned cookie is string not array?

  • Effective communication in a component-based system

    - by Tesserex
    Yes, this is another question about my game engine, which is coming along very nicely, with much thanks to you guys. So, if you watched the video (or didn't), the objects in the game are composed of various components for things like position, sprites, movement, collision, sounds, health, etc. I have several message types defined for "tell" type communication between entities and components, but this only goes so far. There are plenty of times when I just need to ask for something, for example an entity's position. There are dozens of lines in my code that look like this: SomeComponent comp = (SomeComponent)entity.GetComponent(typeof(SomeComponent)); if (comp != null) comp.GetSomething(); I know this is very ugly, and I know that casting smells of improper OO design. But as complex as things are, there doesn't seem to be a better way. I could of course "hard-code" my component types and just have SomeComponent comp = entity.GetSomeComponent(); but that seems like a cop-out, and a bad one. I literally JUST REALIZED, while writing this, after having my code this way for months with no solution, that a generic will help me. SomeComponent comp = entity.GetComponent<SomeComponent>(); Amazing how that works. Anyway, this is still only a semantic improvement. My questions remain. Is this actually that bad? What's a better alternative?

  • PDF (VisPDF component) Problem with DecimalSeparator in Delphi/C++Builder2009

    - by Katsumi
    Hello. I use VisPDF component Delphi/C++Builder 2009 and show text with ShowMessage(FloatToStrF(1.23, ffFixed, 6, 2)); // Output: 1,23 (right!) UnicodeString Text = "Hello world!"; VPDF->CurrentPage->UnicodeTextOutStr( x, y, 0, Text); ShowMessage(FloatToStrF(1.23, ffFixed, 6, 2)); // Output: 1.23 (false!) afer UnicodeTextOutStr() the DecimalSeparator is changed. I have look in VisPDF source and found, that: Abscissa := Angle * Pi / 180; X := XProjection(X) + StrHeight * sin(Abscissa); Y := (YProjection(Y)) - StrHeight * cos(Abscissa); MtxA := cos(Abscissa); MtxB := sin(Abscissa); SetTextMatrix(MtxA, MtxB, -MtxB, MtxA, X, Y); with SetTextMatrix() show up the bug. comment out this line, DecimalSeparator is right, but no text in my pdf. procedure TVPDFPage.SetTextMatrix(a, b, c, d, x, y: Single); var S: AnsiString; begin S := _CutFloat(a) + ' ' + _CutFloat(b) + ' ' + _CutFloat(c) + ' ' + _CutFloat(d) + ' ' + _CutFloat(x) + ' ' + _CutFloat(y) + ' Tm'; SaveToPageStream(S); end; procedure TVPDFPage.SaveToPageStream(ValStr: AnsiString); begin PageContent.Add(string(ValStr)); // PageContent: TStringList; end; I don't understand this function. Can somebody help? VisPDF does not use any DLL or other software to create PDF files. Using VisPDF is very easy and have good examples.

  • After calling a COM-dll component, C# exceptions are not caught by the debugger

    - by shlomil
    I'm using a COM dll provided to me by 3rd-party software company (I don't have the source code). I do know for sure they used Java to implement it because their objects contain property names like 'JvmVersion'. After I instantiated an object introduced by the provided COM dll, all exceptions in my C# program cannot be caught by the VS debugger and every time an exception occurs I get the default Windows Debugger Selection dialog (And that's while executing my program in debug mode under a full VisualStudio debugging environment). To illustrate: throw new Exception("exception 1"); m_moo = new moo(); // Component taken from the COM-dll throw new Exception("exception 2"); Exception 1 will be caught by VS and show the "yellow exception window". Exception 2 will open a dialog titled "Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger" containing the text "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in myfile.vshost.exe[1348]." followed by a list of the existing VS instances on my system to select from. I guess the instantiation of "moo" object overrides C#'s exception handler or something like that. Am I correct and is there a way to preserve C#'s exception handler?

  • trouble with custom 'Text Bubble' component (examples included)

    - by gmoniey
    I'm trying to use a custom Text component to show a series of comments. I got the original idea from: http://www.eonflex.com/?p=40 I've got the base case working but I am stuck with 2 problems I cant seem to figure out: Since I am drawing around the text, the actual height of each bubble is greater than that of the Text field, as a result, the last bubble is always chopped off. I have tried explicitly overriding the height getter, and adding some padding, but I cant seem to get it right. You can see an example here: http://test.lambandtunafish.com/bubbles/CommentTest.swf In my layout, I have 2 VBoxes (one nested inside the other). The first vbox shows a form where the user can enter a comment, and the second box has all the comments. In order to ensure that the scrollbars only show up on the second box, I set minHeight="0" on the nested VBox, but then for some reason, some comments' text is shifted to the right. You can see an example here (look at the first comment): http://test.lambandtunafish.com/bubbles/CommentTest-minHeight.swf Rather than posting the code here, I've provided some links: Container: http://test.lambandtunafish.com/bubbles/CommentTest.mxml Bubble: http://test.lambandtunafish.com/bubbles/CommentBubble.as If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

  • Wrapping a Flash/AS3 Sprite as a Flex MXML component

    - by John
    For my game, I am making the main game view as a plain Flash/AS3 class, something like: public class GameArena extends Sprite This is simply a big rectangle in which game objects are drawn, so no need for fancy UI and I want to keep the main game engine Flex-free so I can use Sprites rather than heavier Flex components. However for the entire game/app, I do still want to use Flex for GUI/layout. So I thought I could create a Flex class subclassing UIComponent, which has a GameView object as a child... now I can use this in MXML as a standard Flex component. e.g. public class ArenaView extends UIComponent { public var gameArena:GameArena; override protected function createChildren():void { super.createChildren(); if (!gameArena) { gameArena = new GameArena(); gameArena.width = 200; gameArena.height = 200; addChild(gameArena); } } } Then I have a simple line in my main App MXML like: <logic:Arena x="0" y="0" width="50%" height="100%" name="TestArenaPanel" /> But so far while my code compiles, the Flash class isn't getting rendered. Maybe it's something simple, but I wanted to ask if this is a reasonable approach, or there is something better? BTW: I've had the "should Flex be used" conversation many times. If you want to discuss that please do so in comments, but keep answers on topic.

  • GridView: Control Designer

    - by pipelinecache
    Hi, I have a question regarding the GridView and the Control Designer of it. I've made a composite control inherited of the GridView. I would like to make some new created BoundField controls available in the designer of the GridView control? So that I can select the custom BoundField control from the Available fields list. Anyone got a clue about this one?

  • How to implement custom JSF component for drawing chart?

    - by Roman
    I want to create a component which can be used like: <mc:chart data="#{bean.data}" width="200" height="300" /> where #{bean.data} returns a collection of some objects or chart model object or something else what can be represented as a chart (to put it simple, let's assume it returns a collection of integers). I want this component to generate html like this: <img src="someimg123.png" width="200" height="300"/> The problem is that I have some method which can receive data and return image, like: public RenderedImage getChartImage (Collection<Integer> data) { ... } and I also have a component for drawing dynamic image: <o:dynamicImage width="200" height="300" data="#{bean.readyChartImage}/> This component generates html just as I need but it's parameter is array of bytes or RenderedImage i.e. it needs method in bean like this: public RenderedImage getReadyChartImage () { ... } So, one approach is to use propertyChangedListener on submit to set data (Collection<Integer>) for drawing chart and then use <o:dynamicImage /> component. But I'd like to create my own component which receives data and draws chart. I'm using facelets but it's not so important indeed. Any ideas how to create the desired component? P.S. One solution I was thinking about is not to use <o:dynamicImage/> and use some servlet to stream image. But I don't know how to implement that correctly and how to tie jsf component with servlet and how to save already built chart images (generating new same image for each request can cause performance problems imho) and so on..

  • Weight doesn't work in a custom android component

    - by RCB
    I wanted to create a custom bottom button bar layout, I've created a xml file : <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" style="@android:style/ButtonBar" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="horizontal" android:padding="0dp" > <Button android:id="@+id/media_menu_button" style="?android:attr/buttonStyleSmall" android:layout_width="0dp" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:layout_margin="0dp" android:layout_weight="1" android:text="@string/media_menu_button" /> <Button android:id="@+id/scenario_menu_button" style="?android:attr/buttonStyleSmall" android:layout_width="0dp" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:layout_margin="0dp" android:layout_weight="1" android:text="@string/scenario_menu_button" /> <Button android:id="@+id/rooms_menu_button" style="?android:attr/buttonStyleSmall" android:layout_width="0dp" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:layout_margin="0dp" android:layout_weight="1" android:text="@string/rooms_menu_button" /> <Button android:id="@+id/shortcut_menu_button" style="?android:attr/buttonStyleSmall" android:layout_width="0dp" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:layout_margin="0dp" android:layout_weight="1" android:text="@string/shortcut_menu_button" /> as you can see I've given all the buttons width 0dp and weight of 1. then, I've created a class that extends the linear layout class : public class BeLightBottomBar extends LinearLayout implements OnClickListener { private LayoutInflater mInflater; private Context contexnt; private Button mShortcutMenuButton; private Button mRoomsMenuButton; private Button mScenarioMenuButton; private Button mMediaMenuButton; public BeLightBottomBar(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context, attrs); //inflate the view this.contexnt = context; mInflater = (LayoutInflater) context.getSystemService(Context.LAYOUT_INFLATER_SERVICE); LinearLayout barView = (LinearLayout) mInflater.inflate(R.layout.belight_bottombar, null); addView(barView); //get all the instances of the components of the bar mShortcutMenuButton = (Button) barView.findViewById(R.id.shortcut_menu_button); mRoomsMenuButton = (Button) barView.findViewById(R.id.rooms_menu_button); mScenarioMenuButton = (Button) barView.findViewById(R.id.scenario_menu_button); mMediaMenuButton = (Button) barView.findViewById(R.id.media_menu_button); //set this as a click listener mShortcutMenuButton.setOnClickListener(this); mRoomsMenuButton.setOnClickListener(this); mScenarioMenuButton.setOnClickListener(this); mMediaMenuButton.setOnClickListener(this); ... ... ... } the problem is when i add this class to the main activity xml <belight.homecontrol.components.BeLightBottomBar android:id="@+id/button_bar" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_margin="0dp" android:padding="0dp" /> the weight stops working, all the buttons are different. and I don't know why !? if I just copy paste the bottom's bar xml code to the main xml file it works fine, the problem only occurs when using it as a whole. P.S. Is it a good practice to create a component this way? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong? Thanks, Dan

  • using return values from a c# .net made component build as com+

    - by YvesR
    Hello, so far I made a component in C# .NET 4 and use System.EnterpriseServices to make it COM visible. I want to develop business methods in C#, but I still need to access them from classic ASP (vbscript). So far so good, everything works fine (exept function overloading :)). Now I made a test class to get more expirience with return code. using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.EnterpriseServices; using System.Management; namespace iController { /// /// The tools class provides additional functions for general use in out of context to other classes of the iController. /// public class tools :ServicedComponent { #region publich methods public bool TestBoolean() { return true; } public string TestString() { return "this is a string"; } public int TestInteger() { return 32; } public double TestDouble() { return 32.32; } public float TestFloat() { float ret = 2 ^ 16; return ret; } public string[] TestArray() { string[] ret = {"0","1"}; return ret; } public int[][] TestJaggedArray() { int[][] jaggedArray = new int[3][]; jaggedArray[0] = new int[] { 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 }; jaggedArray[1] = new int[] { 0, 2, 4, 6 }; jaggedArray[2] = new int[] { 11, 22 }; return jaggedArray; } public Dictionary<string, string> TestDictionary() { Dictionary<string, string> ret = new Dictionary<string,string>(); ret.Add("test1","val1"); ret.Add("test2","val2"); return ret; } #endregion } } Then I just made a simple vbscript file to run it with cscript.exe for testing porpuse. Dim oTools : Set oTools = CreateObject("iController.tools") WScript.StdOut.WriteLine TypeName(oTools.TestBoolean()) & " - " & oTools.TestBoolean() WScript.StdOut.WriteLine TypeName(oTools.TestString()) & " - " & oTools.TestString() WScript.StdOut.WriteLine TypeName(oTools.TestInteger()) & " - " & oTools.TestInteger() WScript.StdOut.WriteLine TypeName(oTools.TestDouble()) & " - " & oTools.TestDouble() WScript.StdOut.WriteLine TypeName(oTools.TestFloat()) & " - " & oTools.TestFloat() test = oTools.TestArray() WScript.StdOut.WriteLine TypeName(test) WScript.StdOut.WriteLine UBound(test) For i = 0 To UBound(test) WScript.StdOut.WriteLine test(i) Next For Each item IN test WScript.StdOut.WriteLine item Next test = oTools.TestJaggedArray() WScript.StdOut.WriteLine TypeName(test) For Each item IN test WScript.StdOut.WriteLine test & " - " & test.Item(item) Next test = oTools.TestDictionary() WScript.StdOut.WriteLine TypeName(test) For Each item IN test WScript.StdOut.WriteLine test & " - " & test.Item(item) Next What works fine: string, int, foat, double When it comes to array, jaggedarray or dictionaries I get a type mismatch. VarType is 13 object for the dictionary e.g. but this dict seems to be different then the Scripting.Dictionary. I checked codeproject.com and stackoverflow all day and didn't find any hints exept some thread on stackoverflow where someone mentioned there is a need to created a IDispatch interface. So anyone ever had the same issue and can help me or give me some hints I can go on with?

  • SPARC T3-1 Record Results Running JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Day in the Life Benchmark with Added Batch Component

    - by Brian
    Using Oracle's SPARC T3-1 server for the application tier and Oracle's SPARC Enterprise M3000 server for the database tier, a world record result was produced running the Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications Day in the Life benchmark run concurrently with a batch workload. The SPARC T3-1 server based result has 25% better performance than the IBM Power 750 POWER7 server even though the IBM result did not include running a batch component. The SPARC T3-1 server based result has 25% better space/performance than the IBM Power 750 POWER7 server as measured by the online component. The SPARC T3-1 server based result is 5x faster than the x86-based IBM x3650 M2 server system when executing the online component of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0.1 Day in the Life benchmark. The IBM result did not include a batch component. The SPARC T3-1 server based result has 2.5x better space/performance than the x86-based IBM x3650 M2 server as measured by the online component. The combination of SPARC T3-1 and SPARC Enterprise M3000 servers delivered a Day in the Life benchmark result of 5000 online users with 0.875 seconds of average transaction response time running concurrently with 19 Universal Batch Engine (UBE) processes at 10 UBEs/minute. The solution exercises various JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications while running Oracle WebLogic Server 11g Release 1 and Oracle Web Tier Utilities 11g HTTP server in Oracle Solaris Containers, together with the Oracle Database 11g Release 2. The SPARC T3-1 server showed that it could handle the additional workload of batch processing while maintaining the same number of online users for the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Day in the Life benchmark. This was accomplished with minimal loss in response time. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0.1 takes advantage of the large number of compute threads available in the SPARC T3-1 server at the application tier and achieves excellent response times. The SPARC T3-1 server consolidates the application/web tier of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0.1 application using Oracle Solaris Containers. Containers provide flexibility, easier maintenance and better CPU utilization of the server leaving processing capacity for additional growth. A number of Oracle advanced technology and features were used to obtain this result: Oracle Solaris 10, Oracle Solaris Containers, Oracle Java Hotspot Server VM, Oracle WebLogic Server 11g Release 1, Oracle Web Tier Utilities 11g, Oracle Database 11g Release 2, the SPARC T3 and SPARC64 VII+ based servers. This is the first published result running both online and batch workload concurrently on the JD Enterprise Application server. No published results are available from IBM running the online component together with a batch workload. The 9.0.1 version of the benchmark saw some minor performance improvements relative to 9.0. When comparing between 9.0.1 and 9.0 results, the reader should take this into account when the difference between results is small. Performance Landscape JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Day in the Life Benchmark Online with Batch Workload This is the first publication on the Day in the Life benchmark run concurrently with batch jobs. The batch workload was provided by Oracle's Universal Batch Engine. Oracle offers 70 JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application modules to support a diverse set of business operations. Oracle's Day in the Life (DIL) kit is a suite of scripts that exercises most common transactions of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications, including business processes such as payroll, sales order, purchase order, work order, and other manufacturing processes, such as ship confirmation. These are labeled by industry acronyms such as SCM, CRM, HCM, SRM and FMS. The kit's scripts execute transactions typical of a mid-sized manufacturing company. The workload consists of online transactions and the UBE workload of 15 short and 4 long UBEs. LoadRunner runs the DIL workload, collects the user’s transactions response times and reports the key metric of Combined Weighted Average Transaction Response time. The UBE processes workload runs from the JD Enterprise Application server. Oracle's UBE processes come as three flavors: Short UBEs < 1 minute engage in Business Report and Summary Analysis, Mid UBEs > 1 minute create a large report of Account, Balance, and Full Address, Long UBEs > 2 minutes simulate Payroll, Sales Order, night only jobs. The UBE workload generates large numbers of PDF files reports and log files. The UBE Queues are categorized as the QBATCHD, a single threaded queue for large UBEs, and the QPROCESS queue for short UBEs run concurrently. One of the Oracle Solaris Containers ran 4 Long UBEs, while another Container ran 15 short UBEs concurrently. The mixed size UBEs ran concurrently from the SPARC T3-1 server with the 5000 online users driven by the LoadRunner. Oracle’s UBE process performance metric is Number of Maximum Concurrent UBE processes at transaction rate, UBEs/minute. Key Points and Best Practices Two JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Application Servers and two Oracle Fusion Middleware WebLogic Servers 11g R1 coupled with two Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Web Tier HTTP Server instances on the SPARC T3-1 server were hosted in four separate Oracle Solaris Containers to demonstrate consolidation of multiple application and web servers. • JQuery > XSLT Plugin > Component returned failure code: 0x80600011 [nsIXSLTProcessorObsolete.transfo

    - by Sean Ochoa
    So, I'm using the XSLT plugin for JQuery, and here's my code: function AddPlotcardEventHandlers(){ // some code } function reportError(exception){ alert(exception.constructor.name + " Exception: " + ((exception.name) ? exception.name : "[unknown name]") + " - " + exception.message); } function GetPlotcards(){ $("#content").xslt("../xml/plotcards.xml","../xslt/plotcards.xsl", AddPlotcardEventHandlers,reportError); } Here's the modified jquery plugin. I say that its modified because I've added callbacks for success and error handling. /* * jquery.xslt.js * * Copyright (c) 2005-2008 Johann Burkard (<mailto:[email protected]>) * <http://eaio.com> * * Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a * copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), * to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation * the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, * and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the * Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions: * * The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included * in all copies or substantial portions of the Software. * * THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS * OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF * MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
