    I've used mysql's update replace function before, but even though I think I'm following the same syntax, I can't get this to work. Here's what I'm trying to do: UPDATE contained_widgets SET preference_values = REPLACE(preference_values, '<li><a_href="/enewsletter"><span class="not-tc">eNewsletter</span></a></li>', '<li><a_href="/enewsletter"><span class="not-tc">eNewsletter</span></a></li> <li> <a_href="/projects"><span class="not-tc">Projects</span></a></li>'); Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec) Rows matched: 77 Changed: 0 Warnings: 0 I don't see what I'm missing. Any help is appreciated. I edited "a " to "a_" because the site thinks I'm posting spam links otherwise.

  • jQuery - want to get input value for submit but it gets one and repeats

    I'm trying to replace all submit buttons with a span so cufon will work. The input still needs to be there so have done some css to hide it and overlay to span on top. My issue is getting the value from the input tag is proving quite diffcult. The code below gets the first input value (being 'search' from the search box at the top of the page, and then puts that value into all the spans, even for buttons that have different values (eg: send). This is a .NET page so the whole page is wrapped in one form tag.     I hope this is blindingly obvious: I'm looking for the fastest way to replace a repeating element in a string with the elements in a given array, e.g. for SQL queries and parameter replacement. $query = "SELECT * FROM a WHERE b = ? AND c = ?"; $params = array('bee', 'see'); Here I would like to replace the instances of ? with the corresponding ordered array elements, as so: SELECT * FROM a WHERE b = 'bee' and c = 'see' I see that this might be done using preg_replace_callback, but is this the fastest way or am I missing something obvious?

    Batch file search and replace using wildcards I have a html (txt) file I am using as a template or sourcefile to create further html files.  Filename = pg_0001.htm and it contains a line of code thus: pg_0001.jpg I want to parse the pg_0001.htm sourcefile, increment and replace the jpeg string, like this:  "pg_0002.jpg", and then output the edited htm file to a new filename pg_0002.htm I then take each newly created file (pg_0002.htm, pg_0003.htm etc) as the sourcefile and repeat the processing until I have reached my target goal (let's say 100 newly created htm files containing code to display the corresponding jpeg. It must be done this way (fileX.htm containing fileX.jpg) because there is other javascript that uses these incremented filenames as function input. I used to know how to write incrementing batch files many years ago but I'm old & very rusty now.  Can anyone please help me do this?  Many thanks in advance. regards Harry

    I'm using the Generics Collection library C5 (server down :-( ) and I have an IntervalHeap(T) and I need to Delete or Replace a T that is not the Max or Min. How do I get an IPriorityQueueHandle from my T? The C5 library source code shows that IPriorityQueueHandle(T) has no methods or properties to implement and the compiler thinks my implementation of IPriorityQueueHandle(T) for my T is acceptable. I try to use a T like this: q.Replace(t, t); and the C5 library throws an InvalidCastException because it cannot convert my T to a (Handle).

The issue that I have is that the picture names include the path/folder where it was saved from (e.g 1220368812/chpk2198933_large-2.jpg) so I need a str_replace pattern to remove "1220368812/" and have the picture name correct stored in the db . Also I would appreciate if you will send me a good link that explains how exactly the str_replace patterns work or at least how the pattern that you use work .

    I'm currently using jQuery to restrict a text box to number only input as follows: $('input.numbersOnly').keyup(function () { this.value = this.value.replace(/[^0-9\.]/g,''); }); I'd like to let the user know that what they are typing is being rejected by changing the background color of the field. I know that I can change the background of a field using something like this: $('input.numbersOnly').addClass('alertClass'); My question is, how do I combine the two code examples above so that the color of the field changes as the character is getting replaced? My goal is to alert the user that something is wrong with their input as they type it in the field. Thanks!

    Got a problem where preg_replace only replaces the first match it finds then jumps to the next line and skips the remaining parts on the same line that I also want to be replaced. What I do is that I read a CSS file that sometimes have multiple "url(media/pic.gif)" on a row and replace "media/pic.gif" (the file is then saved as a copy with the replaced parts). The content of the CSS file is put into the variable $resource_content: $resource_content = preg_replace('#(url\((\'|")?)(.*)((\'|")?\))#i', '${1}'.url::base(FALSE).'${3}'.'${4}', $resource_content); Does anyone know a solution for why it only replaces the first match per line?

    I have an orchestration map that maps two source messages into one destination message. When the schema for one of the source messages changes, I was hoping to be able to click on the input message part and select "Replace Schema" to refresh the schema for just the message part affected. Instead I can only replace the entire multipart message schema with the single message part schema. My only other option seems to be to generate a new map from the orchestration transform shape, but this means I have to recreate all the links in my map... Does anyone know of a more efficient way to update this type of schema?

    Hello I'm getting a bunch of weird html output in users messages e.g. \u0644\u064a\u0646\u0643 \u0627\u0644 \u0639\u0627\u0645\u0644 I assume their aribic characters decoded? How can I perhaps preg replace all these codes with something a little more useful? because search results are filled with pages and pages of this stuff Perhaps even display them as they're supposed to be?     I have this really bizarre issue where I have a forloop that is supposed to replace all divs with the class of "original" to text inputs with a class of "new". When I run the loop, it only replaces every-other div with an input, but if I run the loop to just replace the class of the div and not change the tag to input, it does every single div, and doesn't only do every-other.
