  • Custom Collection Initializers

    - by Jake
Classes that implement IEnumerable and provide a public void Add(/* args */) function can be initialized like in the following example: List<int> numbers = new List<int>{ 1, 2, 3 }; which calls the Add(int) function 3x after initializing the List<int>. Is there a way to define this behavior explicitly for my own classes? For example, could I have the initializer call a function other than the appropriate Add() overload?

  • WCF via SSL connectivity problems

    - by Brett Widmeier
    Hello, I am hosting a WCF service from inside a Windows service using WAS. When I set the service to listen on 127.0.0.1, I have connectivity from my local machine as well as from my network. However, when I set it to listen on my outbound interface port 443, I can no longer even see the wsdl by connecting with a browser. Strangely, I can connect to the service by using telnet. The cert I am using was generated for my interface by a CA, and I have successfully used this exact cert with this service before. When checking the application log, I see that the service starts without error and is listening on the correct interface. From this information, it seems to me that the config file is in a valid state, but somehow misconfigured for what I want. I have, however, previously deployed this same setup on other sites using this config file. In case it is helpful, below is my config file. Any thoughts? <!--<system.diagnostics> <sources> <source name="System.ServiceModel" switchValue="Warning, ActivityTracing" propagateActivity="true"> <listeners> <add type="System.Diagnostics.DefaultTraceListener" name="Default"> <filter type="" /> </add> <add name="ServiceModelTraceListener"> <filter type="" /> </add> </listeners> </source> </sources> <sharedListeners> <add initializeData="app_tracelog.svclog" type="System.Diagnostics.XmlWriterTraceListener, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" name="ServiceModelTraceListener" traceOutputOptions="Timestamp"> <filter type="" /> </add> </sharedListeners> </system.diagnostics>--> <appSettings/> <connectionStrings/> <system.serviceModel> <!--<diagnostics> <messageLogging logEntireMessage="true" logMalformedMessages="true" logMessagesAtServiceLevel="true" logMessagesAtTransportLevel="true" maxMessagesToLog ="1000" maxSizeOfMessageToLog="524288"/> </diagnostics>--> <bindings> <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="basicHttps"> <security mode="Transport"> <transport clientCredentialType="None"/> <message /> </security> </binding> </basicHttpBinding> </bindings> <services> <service behaviorConfiguration="ServiceBehavior" name="<fully qualified name of service>"> <endpoint address="" binding="basicHttpBinding" name="OrdersSoap" contract="<fully qualified name of contract>" bindingNamespace="http://emr.orders.com/WebServices" bindingConfiguration="basicHttps" /> <endpoint binding="mexHttpsBinding" address="mex" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="https://<external IP>/<name of service>>/" /> </baseAddresses> </host> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="ServiceBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpsGetEnabled="False"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="True" /> <dataContractSerializer maxItemsInObjectGraph="2147483646"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel>

I could not find any dummy guide to add the resource files and read the localized strings using resource manager. What is the format of the resource file? It is .properties or a xml file? Can you help me?

  • Please critisize this method

    - by Jakob
Hi I've been looking around the net for some tab button close functionality, but all those solutions had some complicated eventhandler, and i wanted to try and keep it simple, but I might have broken good code ethics doing so, so please review this method and tell me what is wrong. public void AddCloseItem(string header, object content){ //Create tabitem with header and content StackPanel headerPanel = new StackPanel() { Orientation = Orientation.Horizontal, Height = 14}; headerPanel.Children.Add(new TextBlock() { Text = header }); Button closeBtn = new Button() { Content = new Image() { Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri("images/cross.png", UriKind.Relative)) }, Margin = new Thickness() { Left = 10 } }; headerPanel.Children.Add(closeBtn); TabItem newTabItem = new TabItem() { Header = headerPanel, Content = content }; //Add close button functionality closeBtn.Tag = newTabItem; closeBtn.Click += new RoutedEventHandler(closeBtn_Click); //Add item to list this.Add(newTabItem); } void closeBtn_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { this.Remove((TabItem)((Button)sender).Tag); } So what I'm doing is storing the tabitem in the btn.Tag property, and then when the button is clicked i just remove the tabitem from my observablecollection, and the UI is updated appropriately. Am I using too much memory saving the tabitem to the Tag property?

  • How to set the skin of a DotNetNuke page through code?

    - by ks78
I'm working on a DNN module that creates DNN pages (tabs) and places DNN modules on them through code. So, far that's working very well. However, I'd like it to also be able to programmatically set the page's skin and place the modules in the appropriate pane. Does anyone know how to do this using code? Solution: I set SkinSrc and ContainerSrc as mika suggested. Here's my source, if you're interested. This is where I set SkinSrc. ''' <summary>Create new DNN tab/page.</summary> Private Function CreatePage(ByVal ParentID As Integer, ByVal PageName As String, ByVal PageTitle As String, ByVal Description As String, ByVal Keywords As String, ByVal Permissions As TabPermissionCollection, Optional ByVal SkinSrc As String = "", Optional ByVal isVisible As Boolean = True, Optional ByVal LoadDefaultModules As Boolean = True) As Tabs.TabInfo Try Dim tabCtrlr As New TabController Dim newTab As New Tabs.TabInfo Dim newPermissions As TabPermissionCollection = newTab.TabPermissions Dim permissionProvider As PermissionProvider = permissionProvider.Instance Dim infPermission As TabPermissionInfo ' set new page properties newTab.PortalID = PortalId newTab.TabName = PageName newTab.Title = PageTitle newTab.Description = Description newTab.KeyWords = Keywords newTab.IsDeleted = False newTab.IsSuperTab = False newTab.IsVisible = isVisible newTab.DisableLink = False newTab.IconFile = "" newTab.Url = "" newTab.ParentId = ParentID 'add skinsrc if specified If (SkinSrc.Length > 0) Then newTab.SkinSrc = SkinSrc ' create new page tabCtrlr.AddTab(newTab, LoadDefaultModules) ' copy permissions selected in Permissions collection For index As Integer = 0 To (Permissions.Count - 1) infPermission = New TabPermissionInfo infPermission.AllowAccess = Permissions(index).AllowAccess infPermission.RoleID = Permissions(index).RoleID infPermission.RoleName = Permissions(index).RoleName infPermission.TabID = Permissions(index).TabID infPermission.PermissionID = Permissions(index).PermissionID 'save permission info newPermissions.Add(infPermission, True) permissionProvider.SaveTabPermissions(newTab) Next index 'return TabInfo of new page Return newTab Catch ex As Exception 'failure Return New Tabs.TabInfo End Try End Function These next two functions were taken from the DNN source and tweaked slightly, so I can't take credit for much of them. Also, if you use these in your own modules there could be issues when upgrading DNN. Although the upgrade from 5.05 to 5.06 went smoothly for me. In the AddNewModule function, I used ContainerSrc to specify the custom container to use. PaneName is the property used to specify which panel the module should be placed in. #Region "From DNN Source --mostly" #Region "Enums" Private Enum ViewPermissionType View = 0 Edit = 1 End Enum #End Region ''' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ''' <summary>Adds a New Module to a Pane</summary> ''' <param name="align">The alignment for the Module</param> ''' <param name="desktopModuleId">The Id of the DesktopModule</param> ''' <param name="permissionType">The View Permission Type for the Module</param> ''' <param name="title">The Title for the resulting module</param> ''' <param name="paneName">The pane to add the module to</param> ''' <param name="position">The relative position within the pane for the module</param> ''' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Private Function AddNewModule(ByVal TabID As Integer, ByVal title As String, ByVal desktopModuleId As Integer, ByVal paneName As String, ByVal position As Integer, ByVal permissionType As ViewPermissionType, ByVal align As String) As Integer Dim objTabController As New TabController Dim objTabPermissions As TabPermissionCollection = objTabController.GetTab(TabID, PortalId, True).TabPermissions Dim objPermissionController As New PermissionController Dim objModules As New ModuleController Dim objModuleDefinition As ModuleDefinitionInfo Dim objEventLog As New Services.Log.EventLog.EventLogController Dim newModuleID As Integer Dim j As Integer Try Dim desktopModule As DesktopModuleInfo = Nothing If Not DesktopModuleController.GetDesktopModules(PortalSettings.PortalId).TryGetValue(desktopModuleId, desktopModule) Then Throw New ArgumentException("desktopModuleId") End If Catch ex As Exception LogException(ex) End Try Dim UserId As Integer = -1 If Request.IsAuthenticated Then Dim objUserInfo As Users.UserInfo = UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo UserId = objUserInfo.UserID End If For Each objModuleDefinition In ModuleDefinitionController.GetModuleDefinitionsByDesktopModuleID(desktopModuleId).Values Dim objModule As New ModuleInfo objModule.Initialize(PortalSettings.PortalId) objModule.PortalID = PortalSettings.PortalId objModule.TabID = TabID objModule.ModuleOrder = position If title = "" Then objModule.ModuleTitle = objModuleDefinition.FriendlyName Else objModule.ModuleTitle = title End If objModule.PaneName = paneName objModule.ModuleDefID = objModuleDefinition.ModuleDefID If objModuleDefinition.DefaultCacheTime > 0 Then objModule.CacheTime = objModuleDefinition.DefaultCacheTime If Portals.PortalSettings.Current.DefaultModuleId > Null.NullInteger AndAlso Portals.PortalSettings.Current.DefaultTabId > Null.NullInteger Then Dim defaultModule As ModuleInfo = objModules.GetModule(Portals.PortalSettings.Current.DefaultModuleId, Portals.PortalSettings.Current.DefaultTabId, True) If Not defaultModule Is Nothing Then objModule.CacheTime = defaultModule.CacheTime End If End If End If Select Case permissionType Case ViewPermissionType.View objModule.InheritViewPermissions = True Case ViewPermissionType.Edit objModule.InheritViewPermissions = False End Select ' get the default module view permissions Dim arrSystemModuleViewPermissions As ArrayList = objPermissionController.GetPermissionByCodeAndKey("SYSTEM_MODULE_DEFINITION", "VIEW") ' get the permissions from the page For Each objTabPermission As TabPermissionInfo In objTabPermissions If objTabPermission.PermissionKey = "VIEW" AndAlso permissionType = ViewPermissionType.View Then 'Don't need to explicitly add View permisisons if "Same As Page" Continue For End If ' get the system module permissions for the permissionkey Dim arrSystemModulePermissions As ArrayList = objPermissionController.GetPermissionByCodeAndKey("SYSTEM_MODULE_DEFINITION", objTabPermission.PermissionKey) ' loop through the system module permissions For j = 0 To arrSystemModulePermissions.Count - • Error attempting to log into Redmine through IIS 7.5 Reverse Proxy

    - by dneaster3
I am trying to set up Redmine as a subdirectory of our department's intranet site, and also to rebrand it as "Workflow" using IIS's URL Rewrite extension. I have it "working" in that it will serve the page with all the correct rewrites in both the URL and the HTML code. However, when I try to submit a form (including logging in to redmine), IIS gives me one of the the following errors: Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. or The specified CGI application encountered an error and the server terminated the process. • Which cross threading invoke function is better for a control that is inherited?

    - by Stevoni
I have a relatively simple question regarding the best way to call the DataGridView.Rows.Add function when it is inherited into the current control. Which is the best way to make the call to the inherited control? Call it directly in the invoke or call it using recursive-like function? They both seem to produce the same result, a row gets added and the quantity is returned, but which is the most efficient? The delegate: Private Delegate Function ReturnDelegate() As Object The two ways are: A) Private Overloads Function AddRow() As Integer If InvokeRequired Then Return CInt(Invoke(New ReturnDelegate(AddressOf AddRow))) Else Return Rows.Add() End If End Function Or B) Private Function RowsAdd() As Integer If Me.InvokeRequired Then Return CInt(Me.Invoke(New ReturnDelegate(AddressOf MyBase.Rows.Add))) Else Return MyBase.Rows.Add End If End Function

  • Problem with persisting a collection, that references an internal property, at design time in winfor

    - by Jules
ETA: Jesus, I'm sick of this. This problem was specifically about persisting an interface collection but now on further testing it doesn't work for a normal collection. Here's some even simpler code: Public Class Anger End Class Public Class MyButton Inherits Button Private _Annoyance As List(Of Anger) <DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Content)> _ Public ReadOnly Property Annoyance() As List(Of Anger) Get Return _Annoyance End Get End Property Private _InternalAnger As Anger <DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Content)> _ Public ReadOnly Property InternalAnger() As Anger Get Return Me._InternalAnger End Get End Property Public Sub New() Me._Annoyance = New List(Of Anger) Me._InternalAnger = New Anger Me._Annoyance.Add(Me._InternalAnger) End Sub End Class The designer screws up the persistence code in the same way as the original problem. ---- Original Problem The easiest way to explain this problem is to show you some code: Public Interface IAmAnnoyed End Interface Public Class IAmAnnoyedCollection Inherits ObjectModel.Collection(Of IAmAnnoyed) End Class Public Class Anger Implements IAmAnnoyed End Class Public Class MyButton Inherits Button Private _Annoyance As IAmAnnoyedCollection <DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Content)> _ Public ReadOnly Property Annoyance() As IAmAnnoyedCollection Get Return _Annoyance End Get End Property Private _InternalAnger As Anger <DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Content)> _ Public ReadOnly Property InternalAnger() As Anger Get Return Me._InternalAnger End Get End Property Public Sub New() Me._Annoyance = New IAmAnnoyedCollection Me._InternalAnger = New Anger Me._Annoyance.Add(Me._InternalAnger) End Sub End Class And this is the code that the designer generates: Private Sub InitializeComponent() Dim Anger1 As Anger = New Anger Me.MyButton1 = New MyButton ' 'MyButton1 ' Me.MyButton1.Annoyance.Add(Anger1) // Should be: Me.MyButton1.Annoyance.Add(Me.MyButton1.InternalAnger) ' 'Form1 ' Me.Controls.Add(Me.MyButton1) End Sub I've added a comment to the above to show how the code should have been generated. Now, if I dispense with the interface and just have a collection of Anger, then it persists correctly. Any ideas?

  • ActionListener problem

    - by thegamer
Hello, i am trying to make an actionListener on a button in another button which has also an actionlistener and i just couldn't figure it out for some way. I am trying to make an action on the 2nd button but i couldn't figure it out.If anyone helps me i'd appreciate! here is the code below: import java.awt.; import java.awt.event.; import javax.swing.; import java.io.; import java.util.*; public class basic implements ActionListener{ public static void main(String[] args) { basic process = new basic (); } public basic(){ JFrame fan = new JFrame("Scheme"); JPanel one = new JPanel(new BorderLayout()); fan.add(one); JPanel uno = new JPanel(); uno.setLayout(new BoxLayout(uno, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS)); JButton addB = new JButton("first choice"); addB.setAlignmentX(Component.CENTER_ALIGNMENT); uno.add(addB); addDButton.setActionCommand("hehe"); addDButton.addActionListener(this); one.add(uno,BorderLayout.CENTER); fan.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); fan.setSize(500,700); fan.setLocationByPlatform(true); fan.setVisible(true); } public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent evt) { JPanel markP = new JPanel(new FlowLayout(FlowLayout.RIGHT,10,20)); JDialog dialog = new JDialog((JFrame)null); dialog.getContentPane().add(markP,BorderLayout.CENTER); if (evt.getActionCommand().equals("hehe")) { JLabel title = new JLabel("Proceed"); title.setFont(new Font("Arial",Font.BOLD,15)); markP.add(title,BorderLayout.NORTH); JButton exit = new JButton("Exit"); markP.add(exit); //here i want to create another actionListener on the exit button only without affecting the other content which is in the button "addB " so that when i click on the addB button the J dialog pops up, and than when i click on exit button the program will return to the menu.I couldn't figure it out. dialog.toFront(); dialog.setModal(true); dialog.pack(); // dialog.setLocationRelativeTo(null); // dialog.setVisible(true); } // here the code goes on but the problem is that of the actionListener which is concerned.

  • showing errors from actions in table-based views

    - by enashnash
I have a view where I want to perform different actions on the items in each row in a table, similar to this (in, say, ~/Views/Thing/Manage.aspx): <table> <% foreach (thing in Model) { %> <tr> <td><%: thing.x %></td> <td> <% using (Html.BeginForm("SetEnabled", "Thing")) { %> <%: Html.Hidden("x", thing.x) %> <%: Html.Hidden("enable", !thing.Enabled) %> <input type="submit" value="<%: thing.Enabled ? "Disable" : "Enable" %>" /> <% } %> </td> <!-- more tds with similar action forms here, a few per table row --> </tr> <% } %> In my ThingController, I have functions similar to the following: public ActionResult Manage() { return View(ThingService.GetThings()); } [HttpPost] public ActionResult SetEnabled(string x, bool enable) { try { ThingService.SetEnabled(x, enable); } catch (Exception ex) { ModelState.AddModelError("", ex.Message); // I know this is wrong... } return RedirectToAction("Manage"); } In the most part, this is working fine. The problem is that if ThingService.SetEnabled throws an error, I want to be able to display the error at the top of the table. I've tried a few things with Html.ValidationSummary() in the page but I can't get it to work. Note that I don't want to send the user to a separate page to do this, and I'm trying to do it without using any javascript. Am I going about displaying my table in the best way? How do I get the errors displayed in the way I want them to? I will end up with perhaps 40 small forms on the page. This approach comes largely from this article, but it doesn't handle the errors in the way I need to. Any takers?

I am trying to add a Silver light control to my Existing ASP.NET project where i used to add reference to my BL Project and acces methods of BL from My UI pages of ASP.NET Web application. Now i have added one Silver light project to my solution. How can i use the already existing BL method which is in a C# class library ? When tried to add reference, it is saying that "You can only add project reference to other silver light projects in the solution". Should i give up ? Is there any way to get rid of this ?

  • Adding images to version control with Subclipse

    - by Brian
Hello, I know that when using Subversion, adding/copying/renaming files must be done via 'svn add' or 'svn copy' etc. In my Eclipse IDE, I use Subclipse to work with subversion. It's easy enough to add text-based files to version control (ie. php/html/js files) - but how do I properly add images to version control using Subclipse? Thanks, Brian

  • org.hibernate.NonUniqueObjectException Within GWT application using hibernate through gilead

    - by molleman
Hello Guys, i am working on a project for college that uses GWT,Hibernate and Gilead. Basically for the moment users should be able to add friends and remove them. also a user can see if his or her friends are online or not. my trouble is that when i add a friend that is already related to another friend i get this error org.hibernate.NonUniqueObjectException: a different object with the same identifier value was already associated with the session: [com.example.client.YFUser#4] i have a service class public class TestServiceImpl extends PersistentRemoteService implements TestService { this is my service class for my gwt application. my toruble is here with my implmentation class of my serivce in this method that is called when a user presses add friend button on the client-side public void addYFUserFriend(String userName){ //this retrieves the current user YFUser user = (YFUser)getSession().getAttribute(SESSION_USER); Session session = com.example.server.HibernateUtil.getSessionFactory().getCurrentSession(); session.beginTransaction(); YFUser friend = (YFUser) session.createQuery("select u FROM YFUser u where u.username = :username").setParameter("username", userName).uniqueResult(); System.out.println("user " + friend.getUsername() + " Found"); user.getFriends().add(friend); friend.getBefriended().add(user); session.update(user); session.update(friend); session.getTransaction().commit(); } a scenerio : user1 adds user2 as a friend. this works fine. then user3 adds user2 and the exeception is thrown. any ideas why and where my logic is going wrong Ok so i have changed my code, and i have removed all the getCurrentASession() calls and replaced with openSession() call which are closed at the appropiate point, now the error i am getting is com.google.gwt.user.server.rpc.UnexpectedException: Service method 'public abstract void com.example.client.TestService.addYFUserFriend(java.lang.String)' threw an unexpected exception: org.hibernate.NonUniqueResultException: query did not return a unique result: 3

  • CreateChildControls AFTER Postback

    - by Francois
I'm creating my own CompositeControl: a collection of MyLineWebControl and a "add" button. When the user press the "add" button, a new MyLineWebControl is added. In CreateChildControls(), I run through my model (some object MyGridOfLines which has a collection of MyLine) and add one MyLineWebControl for each MyLine. In addButton.Click, I add a new MyLine to my object MyGridOfLines. But, since the Click event method is called after CreateChildControls(), the new MyLineWebControl will be only displayed on the next postback. What can I do to "redraw" immediately my control, without loosing values that I've entered in each input?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • How to Persist URL parameters when CakePHP form validation fails

    - by am2605
Hi, I'm new to cakephp and trying to write a simple app with it, however I'm stuck with some form validation issues. I have a model named "Person" which hasMany "PersonSkill" objects. To add a "PersonSkill" to a person, I have set it up to call a url like this: http://localhost/myapp/person_skills/add/person_id:3 I have been passing through the person_id because I want to display the name of the person we are adding the skills for. My issue is if the validation fails, the person_id parameter is not persisted to the next request, so the person's name is not displayed. The add method on the controller looks like this: function add() { if (!empty($this->data)) { if ($this->PersonSkill->save($this->data)) { $this->Session->setFlash('Your person has been saved.'); $this->redirect(array('action' => 'view', 'id' => $this->PersonSkill->id)); } } else { $this->Person->id = $this->params['named']['person_id']; $this->set('person', $this->Person->read()); } } In my person_skill add.ctp I set a hidden field which holds the person_id, eg: echo $form->input('person_id', array('type'=>'hidden','value'=>$person['Person']['id'])); Is there a way to persist the person_id url parameter when form validation fails, or is there a better way to do this that I'm missing completely? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
