  • Problem with onscreen keyboard on Droid

    Hi all i am developing an application which has a general text entry form. So while testing on my moto droid, i am facing a strange issue-- when i touch an input field ( which is at lower end of the screen) -- the on screen keyboard pops up and hides the input field. So user have to enter blindly. So is this a sdk issue OR it is particular for droids OR am i doing something wrong??? I have tested this same form on G1, Hero..i see no issues at all. Please help...

    I'm quite new to Perl and I'm trying to build a hash recursively and getting nowhere. I tried searching for tutorials to dynamically build hashes, but all I could find were introductory articles about hashes. I would be grateful if you point me towards the right direction or suggest a nice article/tutorial. I remember turning to the people I was watching the game with and telling them, “You just watched my job description”. Releasing software is a multi-facetted undertaking. In addition to making sure the code changes are complete, you also need to make sure the other key parts of a release are ready. For example when you have a question about the software, will the person on the other end of the phone be ready to answer your question? If you need training on that cool new piece of functionality, will there be an online training course ready for you to review? If you want to read about how the software is supposed to function, is there a user manual available? Putting all the release pieces together so they are available at the same time is what the JD Edwards Program Management team does. It is my team’s job to work with all the different functional teams so when a release is made generally available you have all the things you need to be successful. The JD Edwards Program Management team uses an internal planning tool called the Release Process Model (RPM) to ensure all deliverables are accounted for in a release. The RPM makes sure all the release deliverables are ready at the correct time and in the correct format. The RPM really helps all the functional teams in JD Edwards know what release deliverables they are accountable for and when they are to be delivered. It is my team’s job to make sure everyone understands what they need to do and when they need to deliver. We then make sure they are all on track to deliver on-time and in the right format. It is just that some days this feels like herding cats.

  • Ignoring unclosed tags from another <div>?

    I have a website where members can input text using a limited subset of HTML. When a page is displayed that contains a user's text, if they have any unclosed tags, the formatting "bleeds" across into the next area. For example, if the user entered: Hi, my name is <b>John Then, the rest of the page will be bold. Ideally, there'd be someting I could do that would be this simple: <div contained>Hi, my name is <b>John</div> And no tags could bleed out of that div. Assuming there isn't anything this simple, how would I accomplish a similar effect? Or, is there something this easy? Importantly, I do not want to validate the user's input and return an error if they have unclosed tags, since I want to provide the "easiest" user interface possible for my users. Thanks!

  • Using asp.net mvc model binders generically

    I have a hierarchy of classes that all derive from a base type and the base type also implements an interface. What I'm wanting to do is have one controller to handle the management of the entire hierarchy (as the actions exposed via the controller is identical). That being said, I want to have the views have the type specific fields on it and the model binder to bind against a hidden field value. something like: <input type="text" name="model.DerivedTypeSpecificField" /> <input type="hidden" name="modelType" value="MyDerivedType" /> That being said, the asp.net mvc model binders seem to require the concrete type that they will be creating, because of that reason I would need to create a different controller for every derived type. Has anyone does this before or know how to manipulate the model binder to behave in this way? I could write my own model binder, but I'm not wanting anything past the basic model binding behavior of assign properties and building arrays on the target type. Thanks!

  • Multiple children in single form in rails

    I have a model that has an arbitrary number of children entities. For simplicity lets call the entities Orders and Items. I would like to have a create Orders form where I input the order information, as well as add as many items as I want. If I click the "Add another item" button, a new set of form elements will be added to input the new data, amounts, etc.. I could hack this out in pure javascript, but I'm pretty sure there has to be a more magical, railsish way to do it, maybe with a partial view or something. I'm just a little too new to rails to know what it is. What is the best way to dynamically add the new form elements, and then to access them in the create controller?

The input csv has no headers, the data is as follows: 05/25/2010,18:48:33,Stop,a1usak,10.128.212.212 05/25/2010,18:48:36,Start,q2uhal,10.136.198.231 05/25/2010,18:48:09,Stop,s0upxb,10.136.198.231 I use the following piping construct to read the file, sort and output to a file: (Get-Content d:\vpnData\u62gvpn2.csv) | %{,[regex]::Split($, ",")} | sort @{Expression={$[3]}},@{Expression={$_[1]}} | out-file d:\vpnData\u62gvpn3.csv The new file is written with the following format: 05/25/2010 07:41:57 Stop a0uaar 10.128.196.160 05/25/2010 12:24:24 Start a0uaar 10.136.199.51 05/25/2010 20:00:56 Stop a0uaar 10.136.199.51 What I would like to see in the output file is a similar format to the original input file with comma dilimiters: 05/25/2010,07:41:57,Stop,a0uaar,10.128.196.160 05/25/2010,12:24:24,Start,a0uaar,10.136.199.51 05/25/2010,20:00:56,Stop,a0uaar,10.136.199.51 But I can't quite seem to get there. I'm almost of the mind that I'll have to write another segment to read the newly produced file and reset its contents to the preferred format for further processing. Thoughts?

    As a first project I have been writing a short program to render the Mandelbrot fractal. I have got to the point of trying to output my results to a file ( e.g. .bmp or .ppm ) and got stuck. I have not really found any examples of exactly what I am trying to do, but I have found two examples of code to copy from one file to another. The examples in the Gforth documentation ( Section 3.27 ) did not work for me ( winXP ) in fact they seemed to open and create files but not write to files properly. This is the Gforth documentation example that copies the contents of one file to another: 0 Value fd-in 0 Value fd-out : open-input ( addr u -- ) r/o open-file throw to fd-in ; : open-output ( addr u -- ) w/o create-file throw to fd-out ; s" foo.in" open-input s" foo.out" open-output : copy-file ( -- ) begin line-buffer max-line fd-in read-line throw while line-buffer swap fd-out write-line throw repeat ; I found this example ( http://rosettacode.org/wiki/File_IO#Forth ) which does work. The main problem is that I can't isolate the part that writes to a file and have it still work. The main confusion is that r doesn't seem to consume TOS as I might expect. : copy-file2 ( a1 n1 a2 n2 -- ) r/o open-file throw >r w/o create-file throw r> begin pad maxstring 2 pick read-file throw ?dup while pad swap 3 pick write-file throw repeat close-file throw close-file throw ; \ Invoke it like this: s" output.txt" s" input.txt" copy-file I would be very grateful if someone could explain exactly how the open, create read and write -file words actually work, as my investigation keeps resulting in somewhat bizarre stacks. Any clues as to why the Gforth examples do not work might help too. In summary, I want to output from Gforth to a file and so far have been thwarted. Can anyone offer any help? It seems that the problem was due to not flushing the relevant buffers or explicitly closing the file.   • nested columns in compass/sass

    I've been studying compass and while it is a fun thing to play with and use, one thing bothers me(besides being unable to add padding as it wrecks the grid), how do I nest columns? I want to be able to do what blueprint does: nest containers like say, I have a 24-column page divided in two(17 and 7 columns). In the right part of that page(the one with 7 columns), I want to divided some elements into two(2 and 5 columns). I tried this: #main +container #main-content +column(17) +box-padding(17, 10px) :margin :right 0 #sidebar +column(7, true) +box-padding(7, 10px) That's the code for the main page. The sidebar contains a list with some labels and input fields li +container :margin :bottom 5px label +column(2) :margin :right 0 input +column(5, true) It kinda works, but inspecting the li in firebug shows that it's width is actually 950px as opposed to be just 270px since it is just 7 columns. I tried googling about nested columns but I can't seem to find any example in compass. I've also tried the wiki and the documentation to no avail.

  • Selenium not finding LiveValidation text.

    I am using the Selenium IDE to test some of my web development. I am using the JQuery LiveValidation in my code. I have an input box with some javascript behind it that will do a regular expresson and either ouput "OK" or "Error" next to the input text box based on what the user has entered. For some reason when testing with selenium the LiveValidation will not get triggered no matter what I do and therefore I can not test it. When I do it manually it works great. Has anyone run into this problem before? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hole thing is happening on the mac os x. Let's assume that I've opened an program by clicking on an .app icon. It's a python program with GUI which has a separate process that waits for a user input. But as I've opened it by clickin .app icon I dont have access to it's input as I would have if I opened it in Terminal. And the question is: How can I connect new Terminal window to this running program? I tried pipes but I'm not sure how to use them correctly. My guess was to find PID of the app that is running and then pipe to this program by giving a PID. But I have no idea how to do it. I hope you were able to understand what's the problem. Sorry for my weak english :)

  • Radio button inside anchor element is reset after jQuery click handler

    I have a situation where an element, of type radio, is contained in an element. The anchor element has a href but I want to override that behaviour by adding a jQuery 'click' handler to the element. The click handler makes the radio button inside it the selected one within the group. This all works when the anchor is clicked, however, when the radio button is clicked it appears that jQuery resets the selected radio to the previously selected one! Right now, I can't successfully delete a previous address because validation is occurring and stating that the input components need to be filled in on the previous address record on the form. How can I bypass this validation? I thought the "immediate=true" attribute on the command button would have accomplished it but that's not cutting it in my case...
