Strange UPDATE syntax in MS Access 2003

Hi, I've got an Access application with an update query with the following syntax: UPDATE TABLE1, TABLE2 SET TABLE2.VALUE1 = TABLE1.VALUE1, TABLE2.VALUE2 = TABLE1.VALUE2, TABLE2.VALUE3 = TABLE1.VALUE3, TABLE2.VALUE4 = TABLE1.VALUE4 The query is working but I do not understand what's going on here. I'm trying to convert this query to SQL Server. Can somebody please explain what this query does? My guess is that it's a special Access syntax. Thanks, Sven

Solr Facet Search spring-data-solr

I am new to Solr and we are using Spring-data for Solr I have a question may be its too simple but I am unable to comprehend. Basically I need to search on any field but I have a "zip" field as one of the facet fields. I have a Solr repository . SQLAlchemy returns tuple not dictionary

Hi everyone, I've updated SQLAlchemy to 0.6 but it broke everything. I've noticed it returns tuple not a dictionary anymore. Here's a sample query: query = session.query(User.id, User.username, User.email).filter(and_(User.id == id, User.username == username)).limit(1) result = session.execute(query).fetchone() This piece of code used to return a dictionary in 0.5. My question is how can I return a dictionary?

Trying to filter a ListView with runQueryOnBackgroundThread but nothing happens - what am I missing?

I have a list of countries in a database. I have created a select country activity that consists of a edit box for filtering and a list which displays the flag and country name. When the activity starts the list shows the entire list of countries sorted alphabetically - works fine. When the customer starts typing into the search box I want the list to be filtered based on their typing. My database query was previously working in an AutoCompleteView (I just want to switch to a separate text box and list) so I know my full query and my constraint query are working. What I did was add a TextWatcher to the EditText view and every time the text is changed I invoke the list's SimpleCursorAdapter runQueryOnBackgroundThread with the edit boxes text as the constraint. The trouble is the list is never updated. I have set breakpoints in the debugger and the TextWatcher does make the call to runQueryOnBackgroundThread and my FilterQueryProvider is called with the expected constraint. The database query goes fine and the cursor is returned. I am attempting to add an "export to CSV" feature to a webapp that displays data from a MySQL database. I have a written a "queryExecuter" class to execute queries from my servlet. I have used this to successfully execute insert queries so I know the connection works etc however queries with the "into outfile" statement are simply not executing. A question mark within a @PathVariable in Spring MVC?

Within the @Controller of a search engine: @RequestMapping(value = "/search/{query}", method = RequestMethod.GET) public String search(@PathVariable String query) {} If a user wants to search /search/w?rld (wich should match world, warld, whrld, etc.), the variable query equals w, because of the question mark which indicated a GET var. I tried "/search/{query:.+}", but still doesn't work. Any idea how to solve that problem?

Generic class for performing mass-parallel queries. Feedback?

I don't understand why, but there appears to be no mechanism in the client library for performing many queries in parallel for Windows Azure Table Storage. I've created a template class that can be used to save considerable time, and you're welcome to use it however you wish. One of my clients websites, www.kevinsplants.co.uk is not showing the search results in alphabetical order, how do I go about ordering the results in alphabetical order? We are using the Shopp plugin and I believe its that plugin that is generating the results! I want to add a WHERE clause to a full text search query (to limit to past 24 hours), but wherever I insert it I get Low Level Error. Is it possible to add the clause and if so, how? I was following Hibernate: Use a Base Class to Map Common Fields and openjpa inheritance tutorial to put common columns like ID, lastModifiedDate etc in base table. Hi there, I'm building a CMS for my own needs, and finished planning my database layout. Basically I am abstracting all possible data-models into "sections" and all entries into one table. The final layout is as follows: Database diagram: I have yet to be allowed to post images, so here is a link to a diagram of my database. Entries (section_entries) are children of their section (sections). I save all edits to the entries in a new revision (section_entries_revisions), and also track revisions on the sections (section_revisions), in order to match the values of a revision, to the fields of the section that existed when the entry-revision was made. The section-revisions can have a number of fields (section_revision_fields) that define the attributes of entries in the section. There is a many-to-many relationship between the fields (section_revision_fields) and the entry-revisions (section_entry_revisions), that stores the values of the attributes defined by the section revision. Feel free to ask questions if the diagram is confusing. Now, this is the most complex SQL I've ever worked with, and the task of fetching my data is a little daunting. Basically what i want help with, is fetching an entry, when the only known variables are; section_id, section_entry_id. The query should fetch the most recent revision of that entry, and the section_revision model corresponding to section_revision_id in the section_entry_revisions table. It should also fetch the values of the fields in the section-revision. I was hoping for a query result, where there would be as many rows as fields in the section. Each row would contain the information of the entry and the section, and then information for one of the fields (e.g. each row corresponding to a field and it's value). I tried to explain the best I could. Again, feel free to ask questions if my description somehow lacking. I hope someone is up for the challenge. Best regards. :-)

I have a table with anniversary dates. I want a query that returns me rows of anniversaries coming up in the next 10 days. For instance: birthdate --------- 1965-10-10 1982-05-25 SELECT birthdate FROM Anniversaries WHERE mystical_magical_mumbo_jumbo <= 10 +------------+ | birthdate | +------------+ | 1982-05-25 | +------------+ 1 row in set (0.01 sec) I'd like to keep the query in the form x <= 10, because I'll use that number 10 in other parts of the query, and if I set it to a variable, I can change it once everywhere by changing the variable, and not have to re-write the query.

The user interface improvements in SharePoint 2010 as a whole are truly amazing. Microsoft has brought this already impressive product leaps and bounds in terms of accessibility, standards, and usability. One thing you might be aware of is the new and quite useful “ribbon” control that appears by default at the top of every SharePoint 2010 master page. Here’s a sneak peek: You’ll see this ribbon not only in the 2010 web interface, but also throughout the entire family of Office products coming out this year. Even SharePoint Designer 2010 makes use of the ribbon in a very flexible and useful way. Hiding The Ribbon In SharePoint 2010, the ribbon is used almost exclusively for content creation and site administration. It doesn’t make much sense to show the ribbon on a public-facing internet site (in fact, it can really retract from your site’s design when it appears), so you’ll probably want to hide the ribbon when users aren’t logged in. Here’s how it works: <SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl PermissionsString="ManagePermissions" runat="server"> <div id="s4-ribbonrow" class="s4-pr s4-ribbonrowhidetitle">  </div> </SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl> In your master page, find the SharePoint ribbon by looking for the line of code that begins with <div id=”s4-ribbonrow”>. Place the SPSecurityTrimmedControl code around your ribbon to conditionally hide it based on user permissions. In our example, we’ve hidden the ribbon from any user who doesn’t have the ManagePermissions ability, which is going to be almost any user short of a site administrator. Other Permission Levels You can specify different permission levels for the SPSecurityTrimmedControl, allowing you to configure exactly who can see the SharePoint 2010 ribbon. Basically, this control will hide anything inside of it when users don’t have the specified PermissionString. The available options include: 1. Personal Permissions - ManagePersonalViews - AddDelPrivateWebParts - UpdatePersonalWebParts You can use this control to hide anything in your master page or on related page layouts, so be sure to keep it in mind when you’re trying to hide/show things conditionally based on user permission. The One Catch You may notice that the login control (or welcome control) is actually inside the ribbon by default in SharePoint 2010. You’ll probably want to pull this control out of the ribbon and place it elsewhere on your page. Just look for the line of code that looks like this: <wssuc:Welcome id="IdWelcome" runat="server" EnableViewState=”false”/> Move this code out of the ribbon and into another location within your master page. Save your changes, check in and approve all files, and anonymous users will never know your site is built on SharePoint 2010!

Juju MySQL adding units vs adding new service with relation

What's the point of adding units to MySQL? Why not just create a new service with relation to the master node? MySQL doesn't support multi-master node so adding units to one MySQL service doesn't make any sense. If I create a second service as a slave and add units to that to act as multiple slaves still doesn't make sense because if the primary slave server dies all the unites attached to it become useless as well. Can anyone explain why I should add units to MySQL?
