  • Dynamically loading css stylesheet doesn't work on IE

    Hi, I dynamically load a css stylesheet (with a little help from jQuery) like this: var head = document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0]; $(document.createElement('link')) .attr({ type: 'text/css', href: '../../mz/mz.css', rel: 'stylesheet' }) .appendTo(head); This works fine in Firefox and Google Chrome, but not in IE.   • How to make WordPress "Add/Edit Post" form more Tumblr like?

    Hi, WordPress requires you give each blog post at least two fields: a title and text body content. I'm wondering how to modify WordPress admin so I can sometimes enter a single field for a blog post, in particular a URL, without WordPress requiring a title (related but not the point of this question: a custom theme would then know how to handle a post that only contained a URL, it would treat it like a "Link" post in Tumblr). Ideally it'd be good if the "add/edit post" form could be modified so it only contains this single URL/Link field when this is wanted. I'm guessing this is possible through a plugin but I'm not certain. I'm hoping some smart WordPress devs are here to share and brainstorm ideas for how this could be done.   • Alignment of Hebrew Vowel points in Android

    I want to display Hebrew text with vowel points (nikkud) using the Canvas.drawText interface. The vowel points come out misaligned, as in the following image taken using a Motorola Defy+ device: The hiriq is between the resh and the yod, the holam between the vav and nun. I have added the rtl code (\u200F) to the string at both ends, no joy. I know that there are applications that have solved this problem, such as the Smart Siddur. Is there a difference between text-based applications and graphics based? I would think that the same engine renders the text in both cases. I suppose I could split up the string and place the vowels separately, but that seems pretty painful and not extensible. TIA for any clues.

  • Problems with JQuery's Droppable Tolerance 'fit' feature when using the same size divs

    Hi I'm just wondering if anybody else can manage to get the tolerance:'fit' option to work when using the 'droppable' feature in jQuery's UI? I want to call a function only when the draggable div is dropped perfectly onto a droppable div. Both divs are the same size and I'm using snapMode:outer to help the end user. I simply cannot get it to work with 'fit'. Works perfectly with 'intersect'. Would really appreciate some help. Thanks Chris

    I had done Edge detection using wavelet transform using thus steps changing the image to Gray scale decomposing the image using dwt2(discrete wavelet transform,Haar wavelet filter ) in to horizontal,vertical,diagonal and approximation(detail) further decomposing the horizontal part threshold (global threshold like canny Edge detection ) i got the edge but i got a problem while locating the edge to complete image to mean recovering original image using only the Edges so i need help concerning this either in concept ,mat lab code or references I hope i will get your help soon

The rest of the pdf loads fine and it looks like to trying to retrieve the image however it just does print to the page?   • Flex: Would a computational engine for a Connect-4 type game be too slow?

    OK, I was just fooling around in my spare time and have made this cool interface and game-playing code for a Connect-4 type game, written in Flex and playable by 2 human players in Flash. It accurately detects wins, etc. I'm smart enough to know that I've done the easy part. Before I dig into an AI for game play, I wanted to ask if this is the kind of thing that can really be handled computationally by a Flash plugin. It seems to me that for every turn up until the end there are 8 possible moves, 8 responses to each move, etc. So wouldn't a perfect engine have to be able to potentially see 8^8 moves (over 16 million), and a fairly good engine see up to a million? I don't know game coding so this is new to me. What's a reasonable move horizon for such a game to be able to see?

  • A controller problem using a base CRUD model

    In CodeIgniter I'm using a base CRUD My_model, but I have this small problem in my browse-controller.. My $data['posts'] gets all posts from the table called "posts". Though the author in that table is just a user_id, which is why I need to use my "getusername" function (gets the username from a ID - the ID) to grab the username from the users table. Though I don't know how to proceed from here, since it is not just one post. Therefore I need the username to either be a part of the $data['posts'] array or some other smart solution. At the moment the manual process involves using Team Foundation Sidekicks to identify the Changesets and then exporting that to excel to filter the results to find which items need to be reviewed (e.g. code files). I've heard mention of using a TFS API, but found very little help online possibly because I was asking google 'the wrong questions'.

  • Setup: Eclipse in Ubuntu with Apache2 and Subversion

    Trying to setup Eclispe. I am running ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick). Apache2.2.16 Subversion 1.6.12 The Eclipse help/about/installed software says: Eclipse Platform 3.5.2 Subclipse 1.0.0 Version Control with Subversion 1.1.1 The Subclips wiki I followed is here I have installed the libsvn-java app as discussed. I added the line "-Djava.library.path=/usr/lib/jni" to the eclipse.ini file I checked the Eclipse help/about/confirguration settings and both of these lines are listed: eclipse.vmargs=-Djava.library.path=/usr/lib/jni java.library.path=/usr/lib/jni I checked that those files are in those directories. Still, when I check the preferencesteamsvn an error dialog shows: Failed to load JavaHL Library. These are the errors that were encountered: no libsvnjavahl.1 in java.library.path Incompatible JavaHL library loaded 1.3.x or later required I followed the "Testing JavaHL libraries" troubleshooting section at the bottom of the wiki: I downloaded the tarbal and ran it in a folder on my desktop with no problems. Then, I followed the instructions and placed that file INSIDE the path (usr/lib/jni/testJavaHL) and ran it from there. There are 50 tests performed and each one of them came back with this same error (posting only one for brevity): 50) testCommitRevprops(org.tigris.subversion.javahl.BasicTests)java.io.FileNotFoundException: /usr/lib/jni/testJavaHL/local_tmp/greek_files/iota (No such file or directory) at java.io.FileOutputStream.open(Native Method) at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:209) at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:160) at org.tigris.subversion.javahl.WC.materialize(WC.java:70) at org.tigris.subversion.javahl.SVNTests.buildGreekFiles(SVNTests.java:303) at org.tigris.subversion.javahl.SVNTests.setUp(SVNTests.java:222) at org.tigris.subversion.javahl.RunTests.main(RunTests.java:111) FAILURES!!! Tests run: 50, Failures: 0, Errors: 50 Any ideas as to how/why the "local_tmp/greek_files/iota" is appended to the directory? I assume that's my problem.. I'm also having a problem with newrepository location = ...as the directory location of my svn repository is one level above the home directory - which is prepended to whatever I place in the dialog box - resulting in this error: svn: '/home/ricalsin/file:/home/svn' does not exist Thank you for any help.
