• NullPointerException when installing the Android SDK on Mac OS X

  I'm installing the Android SDK on Mac OS X. Following the instructions on the Android Development site, I've downloaded the SDK and modified my .bash_profile to include the path. The next step is to use the Android SDK and AVD Manager to actually download the platforms. However, when I use the Manager to install the platforms, I get the following error in the Terminal. I've looked around for similar problems in the Eclipse and Android forums and haven't found anything yet. Is something else damaged in the environment and needs to be repaired?   Hi, I have a facelets 1.2 application that I am running on Weblogic 11g. I want to use the JBoss EL implementation that allows me to call bean methods with arguments. For this, I have packaged the jboss-el-2.0.1.GA.jar in my WAR's WEB-INF/lib directory.   i have this function that gives me an output of a number. • GMail appearing to ignore Reply-To.

  I'm using a gmail account to send emails from my website. I'm using the same account to pick up emails which are generated by the contact facility on my site. I'm using the Reply-To field to attempt to make it easier to hit reply and easily get back to people. The message comes up with the 'from' address and ignores the 'reply-to' address. • exception message getting lost in IIOP between glassfish domains

  I'm running two glassfish v2 domains containing stateless session EJBs. In a few cases, an EJB in one domain has to call one in the other. My problem is that when the called EJB aborts with an exception, the caller does not receive the message of the exception and instead reports an internal error that is not helpful at all in diagnosing the problem. What happens seems to be this: At the transport layer, a org.omg.CORBA.portable.ApplicationException is created,which already loses all detail information about the exception except its class. • My Rails app is returning HTTP 500 for all its URLs, but nothing shows up in the log file. How can I

  I have a Rails app that is running on a production server with Apache and Phusion Passenger. The app works fine locally when using Mongrel, but whenever I try to load a URL on the production server, it returns HTTP 500. I know the server is working properly, because I can get the static elements of the application (e.g., JavaScript files, stylesheets, images) just fine. I've also checked the Passenger status and it is loading the app (it must be, since the app's 500 Internal Server Error page is returned, not just the default Apache one). Also, when I load the app via script/console production and do something like app.get("/"), 500 is also returned. The problem is that there is nothing in the log files to indicate the problem. production.log is empty. The Apache error logs show no problems with Apache, either. I'm stumped as to what's going on and I'm not sure how to diagnose the problem. I know I may have been a bit vague, but can anyone give a suggestion on what the problem may be? Or at least a way I can go about diagnosing it?

  Hi All, I've seen a number of post about consuming Web Services from behind a proxy server, but none that seams to address this problem. I'm building a desktop application, using Java, JAX-WS in NetBeans. I have a working prototype, that can query the server for authentication mode, successfully authenticate and retrieve a list of web site. However, if I run the same app from a network that is behind a proxy server (the proxy does not require authentication), then I'm running into trouble. I know from the Java docs that On Microsoft Windows platforms, NTLM authentication attempts to acquire the user credentials from the system without prompting the user's authenticator object. If these credentials are not accepted by the server then the user's authenticator will be called. Given that my Authentication code is called only ones, and only as the 5th attempt, it appears as if the connection is dropped when behind the proxy server before my Authentication object is used. Is there any way I can control the behavior of Authentication module, to not have it use the system credentials? • How To Find Reasons of Why Site Goes Online/Offline

  Seems today a website I manage has been going online and offline throughout the entire day. I have no idea what is causing the issue so I am seeking guidance on where to start. It is a Wordpress based site. So here is what I DO know: I use a program that pings the server every minute and when the server is not responding me it emails me, so I can know exactly when the site is online and offline. The site between 8pm to 12pm 12.28, and around the 1a hour early morning 12.29 (New York City timezone, and all times below are in same timezone). At the time of the ups/downs I see a lot of strain on the memory usage. Look at the load average when the site is going online/offline (http://screencast.com/t/BRlfXkqrbJII). Then I ran this command to restart http (http://screencast.com/t/usVtYWZ2Qi) and the memory usage then goes down to this (http://screencast.com/t/VdTIy3bgZiQB). An hour after I restarted http, the site then went offline/online so restarting the http didn't do much help. When the site is going offline/online, I ran the top command and get this (http://screencast.com/t/zEwr7YQj3). Here is a top command when the site is at it's lowest (http://screencast.com/t/eaMfha9lbT - so this would be dubbged "normal"). Here is a bandwidth report (http://screencast.com/t/AS0h2CH1Gypq). The traffic doesn't seem to be that much (http://screencast.com/t/s7hrWNNic1K), but looking at my times the site is going up/down this may be one of the reasons? I have the dvp Nitro package at Media Temple (http://mediatemple.net/webhosting/nitro/). So at this point I would request some help in trying to figure out what the cause of this is, and how I can go about pinpointing this issue. ANY HELP is greatly appreciated.

• C# webservice async callback not getting called on HTTP 407 error.

  Hi, I am trying to test the use-case of a customer having a proxy with login credentials, trying to use our webservice from our client. If the request is synchronous, my job is easy. Catch the WebException, check for the 407 code, and prompt the user for the login credentials. However, for async requests, I seem to be running into a problem: the callback is never getting called! I ran a wireshark trace and did indeed see that the HTTP 407 error was being passed back, so I am bewildered as to what to do. • Automatically hyper-link URL's and Email's using C#, whilst leaving bespoke tags in place

  I have a site that enables users to post messages to a forum. At present, if a user types a web address or email address and posts it, it's treated the same as any other piece of text. There are tools that enable the user to supply hyper-linked web and email addresses (via some bespoke tags/markup) - these are sometimes used, but not always. In addition, a bespoke 'Image' tag can also be used to reference images that are hosted on the web. My objective is to both cater for those that use these existing tools to generate hyper-linked addresses, but to also cater for those that simply type a web or email address in, and to then automatically convert this to a hyper-linked address for them (as soon as they submit their post). I've found one or two regular expressions that convert a plain string web or email address, however, I obviously don't want to perform any manipulation on addresses that are already being handled via the sites bespoke tagging, and that's where I'm stuck - how to EXCLUDE any web or email addresses that are already catered for via the bespoke tagging - I wan't to leave them as is. Here are some examples of bespoke tagging for the variations that I need to be left alone: [URL=www.msn.com]www.msn.com[/URL] [URL=http://www.msn.com]http://www.msn.com[/URL] [[email protected]][email protected][/EMAIL] [IMG]www.msn.com/images/test.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://www.msn.com/images/test.jpg[/IMG] The following examples would however ideally need to be automatically converted into web & email links respectively: www.msn.com http://www.msn.com bob@smith.com Ideally, the 'converted' links would just have the appropriate bespoke tags applied to them as per the initial examples earlier in this post, so rather than: <a href="..." etc. they'd become: [URL=http://www.. etc.) Unfortunately, we have a LOT of historic data stored with this bespoke tagging throughout, so for now, we'd like to retain that rather than implementing an entirely new way of storing our users posts. • Flash - Http service bound to a button can be used only once ?

  I have a flex project, in one of the screen of my UI, I create a HTTP service that call a "doGet" J2EE servlet through the GET method; and I bind the service call to a button. The service print log to system.out so I know when it is run. The problem I have is, when I click said button the first time, the servlets do what it is supposed to do, and print the stack to system.out, but if I click another time, nothing happens. Any idea what might be the cause ? • Seeking good practice advice: multisite in Drupal

  I'm using multisite to host my client sites. During development stage, I use subdomain to host the staging site, e.g. client1.mydomain.com. And here's how it look under the SITES folder: /sites/client1.mydomain.com When the site is completed and ready to go live, I created another folder for the actual domain, e.g. client1.com. Hence: /sites/client1.com Next, I created symlinks under client1.com for FILES and SETTINGS.PHP that points to the subdomain i.e. /sites/client1.com/settings.php --> /sites/client1.mydomain.com/settings.php /sites/client1.com/files --> /sites/client1.mydomain.com/files Finally, to prevent Google from indexing both the subdomain and actual domain, I created the rule in .htaccess to rewrite client1.mydomain.com to client1.com, therefore, should anyone try to access the subdomain, he will be redirected to the actual domain. This above arrangement works perfectly fine. But I somehow feel there is a better way to achieve the above in much simplified manner. Please feel free to share your views and all advice is much appreciated.

Open the Virtual File Manager. 2. Click on Actions ? Add and select the .VDI fileClick "Ok"3.  A new Virtual machine will be displayed, (in this Case, an OEL5 32GB Virtual Machine is available.)4. This step is important. Once you have open the settings, under General option click the advanced settings. Here you must change the default directory to save your Snapshots; my recommendation set it to the same directory where the .Vdi file is. Otherwise you can have the same Virtual Machine and its snapshots in different paths.5. Now Click on System, and proceed to assign the correct memory and define the processors for the Virtual machine. Note: Enable  "Enable IO APIC" if you are planning to assign more than one CPU to the Virtual Machine.6. Associated the storage disk to the Virtual machineThe disk must be selected as IDE Primary Master. 7. Well you can verify the other options, but with these changes you will be able to start the VM. Note: Sometime the VM owner may share some instructions, if so follow his instructions.8. Click Ok and Push Start Button, and enjoy your Virtual Machine
