• HD Crash SQL server -> DBCC - consistency errors in table 'sysindexes'

  Hello A client of mine has had an HD crash an a SQL DB got corrupt : They did not make backups so they have a big problem. When I tried (an ultimate measure) to DBCC-repair I got the following message. Can anybody help me with this ? Server: Msg 8966, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Could not read and latch page (1:872) with latch type SH. sysindexes failed. Server: Msg 8944, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Table error: Object ID 2, index ID 0, page (1:872), row 11. Test (columnOffsets->IsComplex (varColumnNumber) && (ColumnId == COLID_HYDRA_TEXTPTR || ColumnId == COLID_INROW_ROOT || ColumnId == COLID_BACKPTR)) failed. Values are 2 and 5. The repair level on the DBCC statement caused this repair to be bypassed. CHECKTABLE found 0 allocation errors and 1 consistency errors in table 'sysindexes' (object ID 2). DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator.

• preg_replace only replaces first occurrence then skips to next line

  Got a problem where preg_replace only replaces the first match it finds then jumps to the next line and skips the remaining parts on the same line that I also want to be replaced. What I do is that I read a CSS file that sometimes have multiple "url(media/pic.gif)" on a row and replace "media/pic.gif" (the file is then saved as a copy with the replaced parts). The content of the CSS file is put into the variable $resource_content: $resource_content = preg_replace('#(url\((\'|")?)(.*)((\'|")?\))#i', '${1}'.url::base(FALSE).'${3}'.'${4}', $resource_content); Does anyone know a solution for why it only replaces the first match per line?

I'd like to write a query that will read from the output DB, and JOIN it to data in one of the source DB. However, the source table may be one or more individual tables :( The name of the source DB is included in the output DB; ideally, I'd like to do something like the following (pseudo-SQL ahoy) SELECT output.UID, output.description, input.data from output.dbo.description LEFT JOIN (SELECT input.UID, input.data FROM [output.sourcedb].dbo.datatable ) AS input ON input.UID=output.UID Is there any way to do something like the above - "dynamically" specify the database and table to be joined on for each row in the query?

• Import de-normalized relational data from Excel into SQL Server

  I need to import data from an Excel spreadsheet into SQL Server, but the data isn't in a relational/normalized format so the import wizard isn't going to cut it (as far as I know). The data is in this format: Category SubCategory Name Description Category#1 SubCategory#1 Product#1 Description#1 Category#1 SubCategory#1 Product#2 Description#2 Category#1 SubCategory#2 Product#3 Description#3 Category#1 SubCategory#2 Product#4 Description#4 Category#2 SubCategory#3 Product#5 Description#5 (apologies I'm lacking the inventiveness to come up with 'real' data at this time in the morning...) Each row contains a unique product, but the cateogry structure is duplicated. I want to import this data into three tables: Category SubCategory Product (I know SubCategory should really be contained within Category, DB was not my design) I need a way to import unique rows based on the Category and then SubCategory columns, and then when importing the other columns into Product, obtain a reference to the SubCategory based on name. Short of scripting this, is there any way to do it using the import wizard or some other tool?

• How to retrieve column total when rows are paginated?

  Hey guys I have a column "price" in a table and I used a pagination script to generate the data displayed. Now the pagination is working perfectly however I am trying to have a final row in my HTML table to show the total of all the price. So I wrote a script to do just that with a foreach loop and it sort of works where it does give me the total of all the price summed up together however it is the sum of all the rows, even the ones that are on following pages. How can I retrieve just the sum of the rows displayed within the pagination? Thank you! Here is the query..   Hi, I am having some headaches regarding method chaining for a quite simple PHP class that returns a value, which sometimes need to go through a decryption process: $dataset = new Datacontainer; $key = $dataset->get('key'); $key2 = $dataset->get('key')->decrypt(); The get method is where the return lives. So the call to the decrypt method on the second row isn't going to work in its current state. Can I do something to setup the get method to return only when nothing is chained to it, or what would be the best way to re-factor this code?

  I want to load data to an instance of an object using its constructor and I write $this->property=$row["colname"] each time for each property. the mysql_fetch_object function fetches the data as an object but I am not sure if the instance of an object can be assigned to some object from inside. othwerwise I would use __construct($object) { $this=$object; } //doesn't give any syntax error Maybe I should look into iteration of properties and use foreach($object as $key => $value) $value=$object[$key]; or can I assign like $this=$object; within the constructor?

  In my app I try to scroll a UITableView to the top once after I updated the content of the table. However, under some circumstance, my table is EMPTY. So I got the following exception: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '-[UITableView scrollToRowAtIndexPath:atScrollPosition:animated:]: row (0) beyond bounds (0) for section (0).' how can I catch this exception? I tried NSIndexPath *indexPath = [NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:0 inSection:0]; if (indexPath != nil) { [EventTable scrollToRowAtIndexPath:indexPath atScrollPosition:UITableViewScrollPositionTop animated:YES]; } but it doesn't catch the exception because indexPath is not nil.

  I'm building some kind of indefinite filters for an app, and I'm havin this problem when I clone some selects. The things is this selects are chained between them, trough the Chained Selects jQuery plugin. The problem is that every time I clone the selects, the chaining stops working, and I've tryed everything, such as .live() to make it work, but it seems I'm out of luck :D Here you have a sample of what I'm talking about, http://jsfiddle.net/7K2Eu/63/ At first, the selects chain normally, but when I clone the form, they stop working, except for the first row of selects.   I am using bootstrap on my site and am having issues with the navbar fixed top. When I am just using the regular navbar, everything is fine. However, when i try to switch it to navbar fixed top, all the other content on the site shifts up like the navbar isn't there and the navbar overlaps it. here's basically how i laid it out: .navbar.navbar-fixed-top .navbar-inner .container .container .row //yield content i tried to copy bootstraps examples exactly but still having this issue only when using navbar fixed top. what am I doing wrong?

For example, when a user attempts to delete a row being referenced by another record, and the cascade relationship is "no action", I'd like the application to be able to check for error message 547 ("The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint...") and return a user friendly and localized message to the user. When running such a query directly on SQL Server, the following message is printed: Msg 547, Level 16, State 0, Line 1 <Error message...> In an Asp.Net app is this information available in an event handler parameter or elsewhere? Also, I don't suppose anyone knows where I can find a definitive reference of SQL Server message numbers?

  I'm having trouble with Microsoft Access 2003, it's complaining about this statement: select cardnr from change where year(date)<2009 group by cardnr having max(time+date) = (time+date) and cardto='VIP' What I want to do is, for every distinct cardnr in the table change, to find the row with the latest (time+date) that is before year 2009, and then just select the rows with cardto='VIP'. This validator says it's OK, Access says it's not OK. This is the message I get: "you tried to execute a query that does not include the specified expression 'max(time+date)=time+date and cardto='VIP' and cardnr=' as part of an aggregate function." Could someone please explain what I'm doing wrong and the right way to do it? Thanks

Every entry in TableA has at least one relationship with TableC. For example, TableA 1 | 25 2 | 30 3 | 50 TableB 1 | 1 1 | 2 2 | 1 2 | 2 2 | 3 3 | 1 3 | 2 should output 75 30 since rows 1 and 3 in Table have the same relationships to TableC, but row 2 in TableA has a different relationship to TableC.   I've a webpage with one text-box and one button. Click on button will show a popup for searching. On popup page,has 2 buttons, "Search" and "Close". Input the text and click Search, the result will display on a list on this popup, click on a row will close the popup and fill the value to text-box on main-page. On Destop browser, it works fine On Safari on iPad, it will open new tab instead of a popup but work fine. UIWebview in my app, on main-page, click the button, I will go to Search page, but when click Search button and close button, nothing happened, I know because 2 buttons will close the popup or the tab, but I don't know how to handle on my Webview, and also I can fill data to main-page or not? • Callback for When jqGrid Finishes Reloading?

  Hi, I am using the jqGrid plug-in and at one point I need to refresh the grid and set the selected row to match the record that I am showing in detail on another section of the page. I have the following code but it does not work: $("#AllActions").trigger("reloadGrid").setSelection(selectedRow); The selectedRow parameter comes from an event handler that gets called when the data is changed and the grid needs to be updated. I'm pretty sure that the problem is that the grid is not loaded when the selection is being set, because if I put a call to alert() between the calls to trigger() and setSelection(), it works. I would be grateful for any advice. [Edit]Looks like http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2529581/jqgrids-setselect-does-not-work-after-reloadgrid is related but did not get resolved.[/Edit]
