Using bash to copy file to spec folders

I have a folder with a fair amount of subfolders. In some of the subfolders do I have a folder.jpg picture. What I try to do find that folder(s) and copy it to all other subfolders that got the same artist and album information then continue on to the next album etc. The structure of all the folders are "artist - year - album - [encoding information]". I have made a really simple one liner that find the folders that got the file but there am I stuck. ls -F | grep / | while read folders;do find "$folders" -name folder.jpg; done Anyone have any good tip or ideas how to solve this or pointers how to proceed? Edit: First of all, i´m real new to this (like you cant tell) so please have patience. Ok, let me break it down even more. I have a folder structure that looks like this: artist1 - year - album - [flac] artist1 - year - album - [mp3] artist1 - year - album - [AAC] artist2 - year - album - [flac] etc I like to loop over the set of folders that have the same artist and album information and look for a folder.jpg file. When I find that file do I like to copy it to all of the other folders in the same set. Ex if I find one folder.jpg in artist1 - year - album - [flac] folder do I like to have that folder.jpg copied to artist1 - year - album - [mp3] & artist1 - year - album - [AAC] but not to artist2 - year - album - [flac]. The continue the loop until all the sets been processed. I really hope that makes it a bit more easy to understand what I try to do :)

Getting base address of a process

I'm trying to make a program that read the timer value from Minesweeper. (OS is windows 7 64bit) Using cheat engine I found the base address of the variable, but it changes every time I run Minesweeper. What do I need to do to find out the base address automatically? Does it have something to do with the executable base address? Positioning divs

Hi all, I'm working with the Jquery accordion. So my code goes like this: <h3><a href="#">Test </a></h3> <div class="accordion" style="background-color:yellow;"> <div class="test_1"> my first dynamic content div </div> <div class="test_2"> my second dynamic content div </div> </div> So you see the H3 that's the 'accordian', if i click on that the div accordion opens with inside 2 seperate divs. That all works but the positioning of my 2 divs inside the accordion div fails. I should like to get them UNDER eachother, but both divs got generated dynamically what means that i don't know the size of the first div (test_1) so i can't position on pixels. I already tried with some br tags etc but nothing seems to work. Is there a way to do this in css maybe with float or something or should it be done inside the html ? ANy other ideas? Regards, T

Page content layout issues

I'm designing a theme for a blog and I'm having some trouble trying to get a layout working. Here's an image of what I want. This diagram represents the individual posts and not the website itself, so it will be contained in a box of it's own, lets call it .container. Also the purple and green are in another box, let's call it .content. The other elements will be called by their color for now. so here's more or less what the CSS looks like: .container { display:block; margin:0 25px; } .gray, .blue, .content { display:block; width:100%; } .purple { display:inline-block; width:125px; height:100%; text-align:center; } .green { display:inline-block; } That's all there is at the moment. I tried float but that made no effect. What's happening is something like this. Here's a few more things you should know: .container's width is NOT set it is auto .purple and .green don't necessarily need to be the same size as long as .green doesn't go to that side. .purple CAN have a set height .green is where the meat is, that's where the actual post goes, keep that in mind. I don't think tables will help, the problem is inside .content.

Controller changes format on variables when publishing

I am a newbie to ROR but catching on quickly. I have been working on this problem for a couple of hours now and it seems like a bug. I does not make any sense. I have not touched the controller after generating it through scaffold, i.e. it is the standard controller with show, index etc. Now. When I enter data into the database, either through the web form, in rails console or directly in the database - such as www.domain.com for url or 500 for adsense - it will be created in the db without problem. However, when it is being published on the website the variables go completely nuts. Adsense (integer) turns into date, url (string) turns into a float, and so on. This only happens to a few of the variables. This will also create a problem with "argument out of range" since I input 500 and Rails will try to output it as date = crash and "argument out of range". So, how do I fix/trouble shoot this? Why do the formats change? Could it be because of the respond_to in the controller? Cheers, Christoffer

The site says: "Spring Security Application" I want to change the prompt, or at least change what the "site says". Does anyone know how to do this via resources.xml? GDI+ Rotated sub-image

I have a rather large (30MB) image that I would like to take a small "slice" out of. The slice needs to represent a rotated portion of the original image. The following works but the corners are empty and it appears that I am taking a rectangular area of the original image, then rotating that and drawing it on an unrotated surface resulting in the missing corners. What I want is a rotated selection on the original image that is then drawn on an unrotated surface. I know I can first rotate the original image to accomplish this but this seems inefficient given its size. Any suggestions? How do I serialize an enum value as an int?

I want to serialize my enum-value as an int, but i only get the name. Programmatically downloaded file is larger than it should be

I'm trying to download a file from SharePoint. The file itself is an InfoPath template although this is probably inconsequential. If I put the url into internet explorer and save the file to disk, it comes in at 4.47KB and works correctly. If I try to download from the same Url in code the it comes back as 21.9KB and is corrupt. Why it's coming down as corrupt I'm trying to work out. What is the easiest way to add compression to WCF in Silverlight?

I have a silverlight 2 beta 2 application that accesses a WCF web service. Because of this, it currently can only use basicHttp binding. The webservice will return fairly large amounts of XML data. This seems fairly wasteful from a bandwidth usage standpoint as the response, if zipped, would be smaller by a factor of 5 (I actually pasted the response into a txt file and zipped it.). The request does have the "Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate" - Is there any way have the WCF service gzip (or otherwise compress) the response? I did find this link but it sure seems a bit complex for functionality that should be handled out-of-the-box IMHO. OK - at first I marked the solution using the System.IO.Compression as the answer as I could never "seem" to get the IIS7 dynamic compression to work. Well, as it turns out: Dynamic Compression on IIS7 was working al along. It is just that Nikhil's Web Developer Helper plugin for IE did not show it working. My guess is that since SL hands the web service call off to the browser, that the browser handles it "under the covers" and Nikhil's tool never sees the compressed response. I was able to confirm this by using Fiddler which monitors traffic external to the browser application. In fiddler, the response was, in fact, gzip compressed!! The other problem with the System.IO.Compression solution is that System.IO.Compression does not exist in the Silverlight CLR. So from my perspective, the EASIEST way to enable WCF compression in Silverlight is to enable Dynamic Compression in IIS7 and write no code at all.

How to solve docbuiler saxexception: unexpected end of document?

I have a service that gives some car information in an xml format. <?xml version="1.0" encoding='UTF-8'?> <car> <id>5</id> <name>qwer</name> </car> <car> <id>6</id> <name>qwert</name> </car> Now the problem that I'm having is that my DocumentBuilderFactory docBuilderFactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance(); DocumentBuilder docBuilder = docBuilderFactory.newDocumentBuilder(); Document doc = docBuilder.parse(xml); Sometimes throws a SAXException (sometimes it works just fine, but when I reboot the server (still in development) I sometimes keep getting it) with as cause SAXException: unexpected end of document. But when I place a bufferreader there to see what it's receiving and I copy the value into an xml document and I open it in firefox/ie it looks just fine.

Lucene setboost doesn't work

Hi all, OUr team just upgrade lucene from 2.3 to 3.0 and we are confused about the setboost and getboost of document. What we want is just set a boost for each document when add them into index, then when search it the documents in the response should have different order according to the boost I set. But it seems the order is not changed at all, even the boost of each document in the search response is still 1.0. Could some one give me some hit? I have a co-worker who is trying to get log4j to behave as follows: Log to Stdout By default, disable most output Show only messages from java.sql.PrepareStatement at level debug and up He's getting caught up in the 'level' vs 'priority'. Why are symbols not frozen strings?

I understand the theoretical difference between Strings and Symbols. I understand that Symbols are meant to represent a concept or a name or an identifier or a label or a key, and Strings are a bag of characters. I understand that Strings are mutable and transient, where Symbols are immutable and permanent. I even like how Symbols look different from Strings in my text editor. What bothers me is that practically speaking, Symbols are so similar to Strings that the fact that they're not implemented as Strings causes a lot of headaches. They don't even support duck-typing or implicit coercion, unlike the other famous "the same but different" couple, Float and Fixnum. The mere existence of HashWithIndifferentAccess, and its rampant use in Rails and other frameworks, demonstrates that there's a problem here, an itch that needs to be scratched. Can anyone tell me a practical reason why Symbols should not be frozen Strings? Other than "because that's how it's always been done" (historical) or "because symbols are not strings" (begging the question). How do I swallow the dropdown behavior inside an Expander.Header?

Hello, I would like to prevent an Expander from expanding/collapsing when users click inside the header area. This is basically the same question as Q 1396153, but I'd appreciate a more favorable answer :) Is there a non-invasive way to do this? I am not sure exactly how to attach behavior to the Expander.Header content to prevent mouseclicks. I'm willing to float in content outside the expander itself via a fixed grid layout, but I'm not keen on the solution. Ideas? Parsing HTTP - Bytes.length != String.length

Hello, I consume HTTP via nio.SocketChannel, so I get chunks of data as Array[Byte]. I want to put these chunks into a parser and continue parsing after each chunk has been put. HTTP itself seems to use an ISO8859-Charset but the Payload/Body itself may be arbitrarily encoded: If the HTTP Content-Length specifies X bytes, the UTF8-decoded Body may have much less Characters (1 Character may be represented in UTF8 by 2 bytes, etc). So what is a good parsing strategy to honor an explicitly specified Content-Length and/or a Transfer-Encoding: Chunked which specifies a chunk-length to be honored. append each data-chunk to an mutable.ArrayBuffer[Byte], search for CRLF in the bytes, decode everything from 0 until CRLF to String and match with Regular-Expressions like StatusRegex, HeaderRegex, etc? decode each data-chunk with the proper charset (e.g. iso8859, utf8, etc) and add to StringBuilder. With this solution I am not able to honor any Content-Length or Chunk-Size, but.. do I have to care for it? any other solution... ?

Calling subactivity from subactivity

I have three activities in my android app. First activity is main application screen which gives option to open second screen containing second activity.
