  • PCI hotplug doesn't seem to work

    In virsh I detach a PCI bus from host and attach it to a VM. I don't see any errors in these steps. But I don't see the PCI device listed in the VM. virsh # nodedev-dettach pci_0000_01_00_0 Device pci_0000_01_00_0 dettached virsh # attach-device VM1 pci_add.xml Device attached successfully $ cat pci_add.xml <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <source> <address domain='0x000' bus='0x01' slot='0x00' function='0x0'/> </source> </hostdev> Is PCI hot plug not supported? I am using Ubuntu 12.04.3(kernel 3.8.0-34). I can add the same PCI device through virsh edit VM1 and start the VM1. This way I am able to see the device.

  • Which is the appropriate content-type meta tag value ?

    I have a question about the meta tag content-type. When starting to build my site (HTML+PHP+JS), I copied a lot of the meta tags over from elsewhere, and I have, amongst others, the following: <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/xhtml+xml; charset=iso-8859-1" /> Now, I've seen that tag is being used a lot with the value "text/html". I've been searching the web but could not find a comprehensive explanation regarding what the difference between both is. The "text/html" intuitively sounds more straightforward to me. Should I change my tag to that, or might the "application/xhtml+xml" be an equivalent solution ? Alternatively, can anyone point me to a resource where the different values for these tags are listed and explained in a clear manner? Thanks in advance

  • Moved sitemaps to a different subdomain and losing search referrals around the same time. Red herring or correlation?

    We started to lose search referral traffic around the same time that I moved some of our sitemaps to a subdomain. Could this have hurt us? I followed Google's steps to creating a sitemap under a different subdomain. The new sitemaps.foo.com subdomain is being crawled and indexed well. Both www.foo.com and sitemaps.foo.com have been verified in Google Webmaster Tools. They appear as distinct sites. Is this correct? I can't find a way in Webmaster Tools to say "Hey, sitemaps.foo.com is really owned by www.foo.com, so show them together and make sure to attribute sitemaps.foo urls to www.foo" Our www.foo.com/robots.txt Sitemap: http://www.foo.com/sitemap.xml Sitemap: http://sitemaps.foo.com/subdir/sitemap.xml.gz

It's currently indexing them on it's own time I believe which is every 2 - 3 days and when working in music and media I need to have the latest post fairly quickly. My robots.txt file is. User-agent: * Disallow: /wp-admin/ Disallow: /wp-content/ Disallow: /wp-includes/ sitemap: http://vipes.us/sitemapindex.xml If I am understanding this correctly, I would put this URL into Google http://vipes.us/sitemapindex.xml. But in doing so I still only get some of my pages indexed?

  • Getting started with SOAP [closed]

    A site I developed has a new requirement to get weather data from the National Weather Service. They have quite a bit of info on how to use SOAP to get their data and display it in the browser, but what we need to do is use a cron job to get the data at specific intervals, then parse the data out into a database. I have no problem writing PHP code that will run an XSLt and parse xml records out into SQL queries, but I have no idea how to handle this with SOAP (which I've never worked with.) Do I get the data via a SOAP request, save it to an XML file on my web server, then run the XSLt against that? Or is there some other way to go about this?

  • How to configure a longer version Number in artifactory

    The version-numbers for our jars have to be longer them x.x.x. We would rather need x.x.x.x to integrate some old-fashioned self-made mechanism. This is, because we tag our software with x.x.x and as soon as we have a delivery to a customer one specific jar has to be build exactly at this point of time to fit to another backend, which communicates with our program. For that reason this one jar has the version 2.3.4.1, when generated and in next delivery of the same Version it is build and named 2.3.4.2. Now artifactory cannot handle this an doesn't save more than x.x.x.2 in some cases. So we thought of maybe edit the regular expression in the maven repository layout (see attached Screenshot) Because testing the path in the field below shows, that it cannot handle the version number. Of course for the rest of our jars still x.x.x has to work.. For Example here is the maven-metadata.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <metadata> <groupId>com.firm</groupId> <artifactId>someid</artifactId> <version>1.5.1</version> <versioning> <latest>1.5.1</latest> <release>1.5.1</release> <versions> <version>1.4.62</version> </versions> <lastUpdated>20120926073942</lastUpdated> </versioning> </metadata> The folder structure looks like: someid 1.4.62 1.4.62.1 1.4.62.2 1.4.62.3 If we deploy an new artifact version (1.4.62.1), the maven-metadata.xml contains the 1.4.62.1 version. But the artifactory overrides the version number (1.4.62.x) to (1.4.62) after an unspecified time. It seems that the artifactory only support major, minor and revision numbers, and deletes the buildnumber. Now we looking for a solution do disable this behavior. We use the JFrog Artifactory version 2.5.0 (rev. 13086). Any ideas, maybe? Thanks in andvance

  • How do I remedy "Error: Cannot find module 'child-process-close'"?

    I was going about business as usual and about to checkout generator-angular-fullstack. I got no red errors but a message a the end saying Error: Cannot find module 'child-process-close'. I tried many a-thing–uninstalling node, reinstalling, manually getting rid of files and directories in local and/or global paths and tried to make sure Homebrew was the one who installed everything and somehow I've made things worse. (Also, I initially saw errors regarding karma. Everything looked right but it doesn't seem I did any good by throwing commands at it.) I am at a loss. All the stackoverflow questions have been clicked and I'm afraid I've probably tried too many of the suggestions. I cannot install any Yeoman generator. I cannot install anything with npm. When inside the project directory when I run npm install it throws the error. I really have no clue. Is there a way I can basically start over all together? A simple uninstall and install isn't cutting it. Something in the system needs to change but I don't know what. Any ideas?

    I'm trying out the Rijndael to generate an encrypted license string to use for our new software, so we know that our customers are using the same amount of apps that they paid for. I'm doing two things: Getting the users computer name. Adding a random number between 100 and 1000000000 I then combine the two, and use that as the license number(This probably will change in the final version, but I'm just doing something simple for demonstration purposes).     Hi all, I'm having a problem with a WCF Service and Java Client, I will try to give as much information as i can, thanks for your time. The Endpoint of the server is BasicHttpBinding, I tried hosting the server as a Windows Service and in IIS but nothing changed. The weird thing is that the Client works great if I use a simple class, in the moment I switch the class to an JApplet I get the problem mentioned. I'm using Eclipse as an IDE, I tried Axis and Metro to generate the stub with the same bad results. What is the best way of handling this? Currently, I am using the default constructor in which all the string properties are initialized to empty string values. This way, when WriteXml() is called, the string will not be null. One other way I could do this is check using String.IsNullOrEmpty before writing each string in xml.   • Encoding in Scene Builder

    I generate an FXML file with Scene Builder. I need it to contain some cirillic text. When i edit this file with Scene Builder i can see normal cirillic letters (screen 1) After compileing and running my program with this FXML file, i'll see not cirillic letters, but some artefacts (screen 2) But, as you can see on the screen 3, its xml file encoding is UTF-8. Also, you can see there that it is saved in ANSI. I've tried to open it with other editors (default eclipse and sublime text 2) and they shoen wrong encoding either. (screen 4 and screen 5) At first i've tried to convert it from ansi to utf-8 (with notepad++). After that eclipse and sublime text 2 started display cirillic letters as they must be. But. Scene builder gave an error, when i've tried to open this file with it: Error loading file C:\eclipse\workspace\equification\src\main\java\ru\igs\ava\equification\test.fxml.     Reading a paper, I'm having difficulty understanding the algorithm described: Given a black and white digital image of a handwriting sample, cut out a single character to analyze. Since this can be any size, the algorithm needs to take this into account (if it will be easier, we can assume the size is 2^n x 2^m). Now, the description states given this image we will convert it to a 512-bit feature (a 512-bit hash) as follows: (192 bits) computes the gradient of the image by convolving it with a 3x3 Sobel operator. The direction of the gradient at every edge is quantized to 12 directions. (192 bits) The structural feature generator takes the gradient map and looks in a neighborhood for certain combinations of gradient values. (used to compute 8 distinct features that represent lines and corners in the image) (128 bits) Concavity generator uses an 8-point star operator to find coarse concavities in 4 directions, holes, and lagrge-scale strokes. The image feature maps are normalized with a 4x4 grid. I'm for now struggling with how to take an arbitrary image, split into 16 sections, and using a 3x3 Sobel operator to come up with 12 bits for each section. I get the HTML source code of the page where I could manually enter the information to find the postal code, but not the HTML source code with the found postal code. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong? Shall I consider going the XML way? Is it first of all possible to search on Canada Post anonymously? I figured, using 1 bit for each flag would be much more memory-efficient. However, the program's performance dropped drastically - 24 seconds runtime, for prime number up to 1,000,000. This is probably due to the internal implementation of bitstring. You can comment/uncomment the three lines to see what I changed to use BitString, as the code snippet above. My question is, is there a way to speed up my program, with or without bitstring?

The servet class is in the appropriate folder (i.e under the package name). I also added the jar files needed in my servlet into lib folder. the web.xml file maps the url and defines the servlet.
