    I am implementing a chatting application, where I have made a service to listen all the presence changed. On the change of the presence I want to update the data and I am unable to update the data that is showing in the expandable list view. I can register these components by doing something like: container.AddComponent("LocalUserService", typeof(IUserService), typeof(LocalUserService)); container.AddComponent("RemoteUserService", typeof(IUserService), typeof(RemoteUserService)); container.AddComponent("UserRepository", typeof(IUserRepository), typeof(UserRepository)); ... and get the service I want by calling: IUserService userService = container.Resolve<IUserService>("RemoteUserService"); However, if I have the following interfaces and classes: interface IUserService class UserService : IUserService interface IUserRepository class WebUserRepository : IUserRepository class LocalUserRepository : IUserRepository class DBUserRepository : IUserRepository How do I register these components so that the IUserService component can "choose" which repository to inject at runtime? My idea is to allow the user to choose which repository to query from by providing 3 radio buttons (or whatever) and ask the container to resolve a new IUserService each time.

I have done a bit of research and found several classes developed for a similar purpose, but haven't been able to turn up much that is built into the Windows libraries. MyClass[] arr1; 3. // filled the array with objects and did some work on it . 4. dgv_1.DataSource=origArr; 5. 6. // Here is the problem : 7. arr1=origArr; 8. // do some work on arr1 ... 9. dgv_2.DataSource=arr1; For some reason the data in 'origArr' changed when data in 'arr1' change ... I thought that maybe this happened because 'origArr' and 'arr1' are pointers referring to the same object so I changed line '7' to : 7. origArr.CopyTo(arr1,0); but it didn't work ... what can i do to make the pointers referring to different objects?

    I have an EditorFor: <%: Html.EditorFor(model => model.Client, "ClientTemplate", new { editing = false })%> This will bind coming down to the view fine (as expected) but will not bind bind back when the model gets posted. This is due to the form id's not being prefixed with "Client." Usually in this situation i just pass in model and then bind the inputs to model.Client.PropertyName in the Template but this is not an option in this case as the template is used on two different viewmodels (that have client on).     As mentioned in this answer simply calling the destructor for the second time is already undefined behavior 12.4/14(3.8). For example: class Class { public: ~Class() {} }; // somewhere in code: { Class* object = new Class(); object->~Class(); delete object; // UB because at this point the destructor call is attempted again } In this example the class is designed in such a way that the destructor could be called multiple times - no things like double-deletion can happen. The memory is still allocated at the point where delete is called - the first destructor call doesn't call the ::operator delete() to release memory. For example, in Visual C++ 9 the above code looks working. Even C++ definition of UB doesn't directly prohibit things qualified as UB from working. So for the code above to break some implementation and/or platform specifics are required. Why exactly would the above code break and under what conditions?

  • Simplest way to create a wrapper class around some strings for a WPF DataGrid?

    I'm building a simple hex editor in C#, and I've decided to use each cell in a DataGrid to display a byte*. I know that DataGrid will take a list and display each object in the list as a row, and each of that object's properties as columns. I want to display rows of 16 bytes each, which will require a wrapper with 16 string properties. While doable, it's not the most elegant solution. Is there an easier way? I've already tried creating a wrapper around a public string array of size 16, but that doesn't seem to work. Thanks *The rational for this is that I can have spaces between each byte without having to strip them all out when I want to save my edited file. Also it seems like it'll be easier to label the rows and columns.

    I implement a class hierarchy using STI pattern class A scope :aaa, where([someField]:[someValue]) end class B < A end The problem is that when I try to call something like: B.limit(5).aaa => SELECT "[table]".* FROM "[table]" WHERE "[table]"."type" IN ('A') AND ([someField] = [someValue]) LIMIT 5 So I am getting 5 objects of type A, which satisfies scope :aaa But I need to do the same with rows where type = "B" Is there any way to use scopes from parent, without redifinning it in childs in STI pattern? Thanks in advance EDITED I just discussed it with my frind and he showed me one important thing. A in not the root class of STI. IN fact whole hierarchy looks like class O < ActiveRecord::Base end class A < O scope ..... ..... end class B < A end maybe the reason is in hierarchy itself?...

  • Where do enumerations belong

    At my current place of emplyment they were putting enumerations into the class they used them in. Whilst I didn't see any duplication of these enumerations I non the less thought that they didn't belong in the class so I moved them out into their own class. The reason I did that was that I wanted them to be re-usable w/out needing to reference the model class they were originally in. I got asked why I did that by the boss who disagreed with me as to my reasons for moving them and say nothing wrong with putting enumerations in a model class. So where should they be? Is it acceptable to leave enumerations in a class and hope that others in the project know to refactor your code if they want to re-use it elsewhere or should, as I did, you create an enumerations class and have them all in there?

  • Inheritance - initialization problem

    I have a c++ class derived from a base class in a framework. The derived class doesn't have any data members because I need it to be freely convertible into a base class and back - the framework is responsible for loading and saving the objects and I can't change it. My derived class just has functions for accessing the data. But there are a couple of places where I need to store some temporary local variables to speed up access to data in the base class. mydata* MyClass::getData() { if ( !m_mydata ) { // set to NULL in the constructor m_mydata = some_long_and complex_operation_to_get_the_data_in_the_base() } return m_mydata; } The problem is if I just access the object by casting the base class pointer returned from the framework to MyClass* the ctor for MyClass is never called and m_mydata is junk. Is there a way of only initializing the m_mydata pointer once?

    As an ASP.NET developer, I'm used to working with how VS/C# transparently autogens proxy classes for web references (yes, I know, we're spoiled), but now that I'm creating documentation for more than one coding platform I'm trying to discover what the equivelant to that is in any other framework. So is there a similar way to work transparently with web reference proxy classes for say, RoR, PHP, and Python? And if there's nothing integrated, are there tools you recommend to autogen the proxy classes, or do you recommend to roll custom classes?
