• Locked visible cells Excel problem

  I have a problem with an Excel Template in Excel 2007. I need to remove a row from a summary report but the developer who created this report has somehow managed to set it so that only certain number of rows & columns are visible (in case you are interested it is A1:G30) - no headers, no grid, just blue nothingness. Deleting the offending line just peels back the white-ness. I want to change the resolution of the visible grid to A1:G29. I would ask on google but I haven't the foggiest what the tool would be called to do this (if I did I probably wouldn't be asking). Giving generic terms gives very generic results. I've been through every ribbon and came up blank. Help me out my misery - please!

• Alternatives to UIWebView for rich content?

  In my app, I am displaying 4 "tabs", each are local content through a UIWebView. I create HTML markup from my simple data. This is slow to load and I'm trying to speed it up. I'm using UIWebView to accomplish these: 1. hyperlinks 2. some styling - font colors 3. HTML tables Writing my own class to handle this is okay for (1.) hyperlinks - I can use a touch event to call a method. And (2.) styling - I can use UILables to do basic formatting, no biggie here. BUT what I really love about the UIWebViews is the (3.) HTML tables! I find it troublesome to line up the UILabels in a way that mimics HTML Tables, for instance, one cell's height in a row changes the height of all cells. I'm looking for another perspective or knowledge of an alternative.

• How to search for duplicate values in a huge text file having around Half Million records

  I have an input txt file which has data in the form of records (each row is a record and represents more or less like a DB table) and I need to find for duplicate values. For example: Rec1: ACCOUNT_NBR_1*NAME_1*VALUE_1 Rec2: ACCOUNT_NBR_2*NAME_2*VALUE_2 Rec3: ACCOUNT_NBR_1*NAME_3*VALUE_3 In the above set, the Rec1 and Rec2 are considered to be duplicates as the ACCOUNT NUMBERS are same(ACCOUNT_NBR1). Note: The input file shown above is a delimiter type file (the delimiter being *) however the file type can also be a fixed length file where each column starts and ends with a specified positions. I am currently doing this with the following logic: Loop thru each ACCOUNT NUMBER Loop thru each line of the txt file and record and check if this is repeated. If repeated record the same in a hashtable. End End And I am using 'Pattern' & 'BufferedReader' java API's to perform the above task. But since it is taking a long time, I would like to know a better way of handling it. Thanks, Shibu

• Import small number of records from a very large CSV file in Biztalk 2006

  I have a Biztalk project that imports an incoming CSV file and dumps it to a database table. The import works fine, but I only need to keep about 200-300 records from a file with upwards of a million rows. My orchestration discards these rows, but the problem is that the flat file I'm importing is still 250MB, and when converted to XML using a regular flat file pipeline, it takes hours to process and sometimes causes the server to run out memory. Is there something I can do to have the Custom Pipeline itself discard rows I don't care about? The very first item in each CSV row is one of a few strings, and I only want to keep rows that start with a certain string. Thanks for any help you're able to provide.

  I have a code structure something like this: For row = 1 To numRows Dim arrayIndex As Integer = 0 For column As Integer = bucketStartColumn To bucketEndColumn ' whatever code arrayIndex = arrayIndex + 1 Next Next Dim arrayIndex As Integer = 0 For column As Integer = bucketStartColumn To bucketEndColumn ' whatever code arrayIndex = arrayIndex + 1 Next Not exactly the code, so I don't really need suggestions about refactoring, but my problem is this - with this code I get a compiler error for the first Dim arrayIndex As Integer = 0 - "Variable 'arrayIndex' hides a variable in an enclosing block." As far as I can tell, arrayIndex is local to the first for loop and shouldn't exist by the time we reach the second loop. If I try to change the second declaration of arrayIndex to arrayIndex = 0, I get the error "Name 'arrayIndex' is not declared", as I expected. So is it visible, or not? Does this have something to do with the Dim keyword? Any suggestions of how to get around this, other than naming the second index variable something else?

• NSCFType keeps occurring, something is not being released?

  I'm attempting to delete files from the documents directory using a tableview/array combination. For some reason, my NSString pointing to the Documents directory path is being converted to a NSCFType (which after some research, I understand is happening because a variable is not being released). Because of this, the application crashes at the line NSString *lastPath = [documentsDirectory stringByAppendingPathComponent:temp]; claiming that NSCFType cannot recognize the method stringByAppendingPathComponent. • Is there a size limitation for an Access DB destination in SSIS?

  I'm creating an SSIS package, which will read through a user's SQL database and populate the tables in an Access database. However, for the largest user databases, I start getting errors around the time the Access file reaches approx. 2 GB. Has anyone run into this problem? Is this a size limitation for this operation? More information: I'm getting the error code 0xC020907B, but no additional information that I can see. Error: 0xC0209029 at , [733]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_INDUCEDTRANSFORMFAILUREONERROR. The "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (746)" failed because error code 0xC020907B occurred, and the error row disposition on "input "OLE DB Destination Input" (746)" specifies failure on error. An error occurred on the specified object of the specified component. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

  Hi, Trying to implement some nested loops that are spitting out good old nested html table data. So the question is; What is the best way to loop through lists and nested lists in order to produce easily maintainable code. It can get quite narly quite fast when working with multiple nested tables or lists. Should I make use of a HTML helper, or make something with the ViewModel to simplify this? A requirement is if there are no children at a node there should be an empty row on that spot with some links for creation and into other parts of the system.

• plot only x and y axis (no box) in ggplot2

  The convention of some journals is to show only the x and y axis in a plot not a box around the entire plot area. How can I achieve this in ggplot2?   Let us say I have a table (everything is very much simplified): create table OriginalData ( bla char(10) not null ) And I would like to insert its data (set based!) into two tables which model inheritance create table Statements ( Id int IDENTITY NOT NULL, ProposalDateTime DATETIME null ) create table Items ( StatementFk INT not null, ItemName NVARCHAR(255) null, primary key (StatementFk) ) Statements is the parent table and Items is the child table. I have no problem doing this with one row which involves the use of IDENT_CURRENT but I have no idea how to do this set based (i.e. enter several rows into both tables). Thanks.   I am probably trying to accomplish too much in a single query, but have I an sqlite database with badly formatted recipes. This returns a sorted list of recipes with relevance added: SELECT *, sum(relevance) FROM ( SELECT *,1 AS relevance FROM recipes WHERE ingredients LIKE '%milk%' UNION ALL SELECT *,1 AS relevance FROM recipes WHERE ingredients LIKE '%flour%' UNION ALL SELECT *,1 AS relevance FROM recipes WHERE ingredients LIKE '%sugar%' ) results GROUP BY recipeID ORDER BY sum(relevance) DESC; But I'm now stuck with a special case where I need to write the relevance value to a field on the same row as the recipe. I figured something along these lines: UPDATE recipes SET relevance=(SELECT sum(relevance) ...) But I have not been able to get this working yet. I will keep trying, but meanwhile please let me know how you would approach this?

  I have a datasheet that looks like this: ID name_ 1 2 3 4 1 name1 x 0 0 0 2 name2 0 x 0 0 3 name3 0 0 x 0 4 name4 0 0 0 x I have rectangles on a report that correspond to this datasheet. When the report opens, I need the rectangles to be colored red according to the data. For example, in the name1 row where there is an x in the 1 column, I need the specific rectangle corresponding to this (name1, 1) to be colored red. Here is the result that I need: x x x x (where x is a rectangle that is red) Perhaps the best place to place this code would be in ON LOAD event of the report, but i am not sure exactly. Can you please suggest to me some code that would turn the specified rectangles red according to the data?

• Wraping EditText Boxes in Layout

  I have a UI that has 6 EditText boxes. 3 of those EditText boxes don't show up when in vertical orientation. I was hoping that wrap_content would wrap the non-showing 3 to the next line but found out that LinearLayout only allows for one row. When in horizontal orientation I get all 6 of them showing. I tried a TableView with two rows of 3 each. That looks dorky when in horizontal orientation. Do I need code to determine when the orientation changes to redraw those EditText boxes so it looks better or is there some layout that will automatically wrap when in vertical orientation?

• Unable to Hide Update Button in GridView Editing

  Hi, I am using commandfield edit button to edit the row of the gridview. But unable to perform the basics. This gridview is in update panel. When I press Edit button it shows UPDATE and CANCEL button but when I press UPDATE button it updates the DB but UPDATE button doesn't go back to EDIT one. While Cancel is working as it should. Like on pressing CANCEL it goes back to EDIT button, What I am doing worng. Thanks.

• Begin Viewing Query Results Before Query Ends

  OK, so say I have a table with 500K rows, then I ad-hoc query with unsupported indexing which requires a full table scan. I would like to immediately view the first rows returned while the full table scan continues. Then I want to scroll thru the next results. In the meantime, I would like to display the progress of the table scan, example: "SEARCHING.. FOUND 23 OF 500,000 ROWS SO FAR". If I scroll too far ahead, I want to display a message like: "REACHED LAST ROW IN LOOK-AHEAD BUFFER.. QUERY HAS NOT COMPLETED".. Can this be done? Maybe like: spawn/exec, declare scroll cursor, open, fetch, etc.?

This will return the row for id 1, however if I change the start_date to 2012-11-25, it will fail due to the first condition on AND. I'm really confuse on this since I am new to this, is there any built-in function to handle this kind of situation?

  I have a managed object with a dueDate attribute. The exception is thrown before either controller:didChangeObject:atIndexPath:forChangeType:newIndex or controller:didChangeSection:atIndex:forChangeType are called. At this point I'm stuck. If I change my sectionNameKeyPath to just "dueDate" then everything works fine. I think that's because the dueDate attribute never changes whereas the category will be different when read back after the finishedDate attribute changes. Please help!
