• How to create a HTML Table with in Jquery Modal .

• The best way to structure this database?

  At the moment I'm doing this: gems(id, name, colour, level, effects, source) id is the primary key and is not auto-increment. A typical row of data would look like this: id => 40153 name => Veiled Ametrine colour => Orange level => 80 effects => +12 sp, +10 hit source => Ametrine (Some of you gamers might see what I'm doing here :) ) But I realise this could be sorted a lot better. I have studied database relationships and secondary keys in my A-Level computing class but never got as far as to set one up properly. I just need help with how this database should be organised, like what tables should have what data with what secondary and foreign keys? I was thinking maybe 3 tables: gem, effects, source. Which then have relationships to each other? Can anyone shed some light on this? Is a complex way like I'm proposing really the way to go or should I just carry on with what I'm doing? Cheers.

• Adobe popping out of the browser

  Hi, Im building a web application that displays a xfdf document. When we are testing in adobe 5 and we can't stop adobe opening outside the webpage. The user clicks the report and it should open in the browser but instead it opens in adobe it appears to work in everything but adobe 5. We have previously done this with out any problems. Any ideas?   I wrote program in C# winforms and SQL server and LINQ to SQL. I use user control instead of form. In my user control, I put 3 textbox, txtStartNumber, txtEndNumber, txtQuantity. user define value of textboxes, when clicked button, it will insert some records according to the value of txtQuantity. I want to when duplicate number is created, it won't add to database and display message. how do i do? • SQL Server 05, which is optimal, LIKE %<term>% or CONTAINS() for searching large column

  I've got a function written by another developer which I am trying to modify for a slightly different use. It is used by a SP to check if a certain phrase exists in a text document stored in the DB, and returns 1 if the value is found or 0 if its not. This is the query: SELECT @mres=1 from documents where id=@DocumentID and contains(text, @search_term) The document contains mostly XML, and the search_term is a GUID formatted as an nvarchar(40). This seems to run quite slowly to me (taking 5-6 seconds to execute this part of the process), but in the same script file there is also this version of the above, commented out. SELECT @mres=1 from documents where id=@DocumentID and textlike '%' + @search_term + '%' This version runs MUCH quicker, taking 4ms compared to 15ms for the first example. So, my question is why use the first over the second? I assume this developer (who is no longer working with me) had a good reason, but at the moment I am struggling to find it.. Is it possibly something to do with the full text indexing? (this is a dev DB I am working with, so the production version may have better indexing..) I am not that clued up on FTI really so not quite sure at the moment. Thoughts/ideas?

  I've been playing with new URL monikers in Windows for a utility I'm working on. When I run the new URL from Start Run, it just runs. If I send the URL to myself via Notes or enter it into the IE address bar, I get a window which says: "Do you want to allow this website to open a program on your computer?" Program: UrlMonikerTest1 Address: urltest://ticket?param1=42&param2=Derf [CheckBox] Always ask before opening this type of address [Button] Allow [Button] Cancel Allowing web content to open a program can be useful, but it can potentially harm your computer. Do not allow it unless you trust the source of the content. What's the risk? Given that the utility will only run on internal machines to which it will be deployed using SCCM and to which I can apply Group Policy, can I disable this message for this application/URL moniker alone? The clients are currently XP. They will be Win7 at some point. We don't have to consider Vista.

• Openfire: Closing session due to incorrect hostname

  I have a fresh install on a windows sevrer 2008 box. I can connect adium to the server from a remote machine and from the admin console/sessions I can see my session. My friend can aslo connect and I can see his session. I can send an admin message out and both of us can see it in the adium clients. We can't see each other though. I also get these logs in the warn window in the log viewer: Closing session due to incorrect hostname in stream header. Host: prjatk.com. Connection: org.jivesoftware.openfire.net.SocketConnection@1b1fd9c socket: Socket[addr=/109.109.248.82,port=56258,localport=5269] session: null prjatk.com is the server - however in the server settings on the admin screen I see the computer name as the hostname - is that the issue? If so how can I change that?

• rsync on QNAP NAS fails recently

  I have been using rsync to copy a large backup file from a remote host to my QNAP NAS. It's been working fine until recently. It seems like almost every time when it executes it's giving a time out after 15s. Following is what I have captured in the log. • Dovecot: no auth attempts in 0 secs (IMAP protocol)

  I'm having a lot of problems configuring dovecot ony vps. I'm already able to send email using port 110 and to receive email using port 25, but I can't connect using port 993 and 995. I'm using self-signed ssl certificates. When I try to connect to 993 this error is logged: Jun 8 19:06:39 MY_HOSTNAME dovecot: imap-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts in 2 secs): user=<>, rip=MY_IP, lip=MY_VPS_IP, TLS, session=<MY_SESSION> When I try to connect to 995 here is the error log: Jun 8 19:08:17 MY_HOSTNAME dovecot: pop3-login: Disconnected (no auth attempts in 0 secs): user=<>, rip=MY_IP, lip=MY_VPS_IP, TLS: SSL_read() failed: error:14094416:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert certificate unknown: SSL alert number 46, session=<MY_SESSION> EDIT: I was able to fix this part by refreshing my mail client ssl cert. • Name resolution for the name <name> timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

  Installed Windows 7 (previously ran XP and Vista with no problems) a couple of weeks ago and I'm at least once a day getting the above error show up in the event logs and losing all internet connection. The only current way to resolve it is to reboot my cable modem. My ISP have been running diagnostics on it and tell me there is no problem whatsoever. I've configured my router (and PC on occasion) to point at OpenDNS - still occurs. I've had the PC directly connected to the modem - still occurs. If I can give more info that might of use please ask thanks Update: After moaning at my ISP for a couple of weeks (VirginMedia) they agreed to send me out a new cable modem ... and I've not had the issue since.

• ASE reports messages as spam?

  Outside users are attempting to send to our domain (www.lrffpd.com). It's getting rejected sporatically. All of the senders are getting some variation of the error "Unagi.teksnax.com has rejected the message. This message has been blocked because ASE reports it as spam". The error number varies. -Our firewall is a Fortigate and it runs the built-in Fortigate AntiSpam software. I don't this problem is becuase of the firewall because the error is coming from the server, not the firewall. -On the Exchange 2003 server we run ESET NOD32 for Exchange (only for AntiVirus). We also run the IMF filter built into Exchange. I've NEVER heard of ASE and can't find any information about them. What do you think this could be?

  Hey, I can't connect to an exchange server using windows XP and outlook 2007, using the "connect anywhere over HTTP" process, it has been working until recently and the user reports no recent changes to his environment. The error is "Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action" It will prompt me for the username and password which I can enter, then it will give the errorm however this only happens when I delete the account and enter all details for the excahnge server again. The client computer that is unable to connect using outlook can connect to the HTTPS mail service and login send/receive fine. Nobody else has reported issues. making a test environment with a clean install of XP and outlook 2007 gives the same error, but using windows 7 and outlook 2007 connects perfectly fine everytime. I also removed all passwords using control keymgr.dll which didnt help. Any assistance or ideas would be appreciated, at this point nothing I've tried from technet or google works <_<

Then router mark gre connection as unreachable, so I cant send to Linux host from router subnet. If linux sends something into tunnel (ping, etc.) - RouterOS mark connection as reacheble. Second and next packages routed nicely until one minute idle (no traffic).   We just moved to exchange/Outlook, and our users are trying to create delegations to their admin assistants. We're getting the following message: The Delegates settings were not saved correctly. Unable to activate send-on-behalf-of list. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. It seems the issue can be resolved with a registry entry as per the KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950794/en-us But I'm wondering if this is just a band-aid or if it gets to the root of the problem?

• Broadcom NIC Teaming w/ 802.3ad and Dell Powerconnect 2824

  We have a Poweredge R210 running WS2K8R2. The server has two Broadcom 5716C NICs running Broadcom BASP. I can team the NICs using the 802.3ad protocol on the server end no problem. I have no VLAN. Now I go to the 2824 switch (default settings all round) running in managed mode and create a LAG with ports g1 and g2. As soon as I add these ports, I lose the ability to send traffic to or from the server. I am much more of a server guy than a networking guy, what am I doing wrong here? Server Static IP Address: 10.10.61.15 Network mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 10.10.61.51 The 2824 switch has an IP address of 10.10.61.51 and in turn has its gateway as our firewall server running ISA Server at 10.10.61.50.

  I'm trying to update my DNS-Server dynamically using nsupdate. Prerequisite I'm using Debian 6 on my DNS-Server and Debian 4 on my client. I created a public/private key pair using: dnssec-keygen -C -a HMAC-MD5 -b 512 -n USER sub.example.com. I then edited my named.conf.local to contain my public key and the new zone i wish to update. • iPhone - Open excel from SSRS 2008

  We're currently having a problem with our 2008 SSRS server sending excel reports to users with iPhones. They get the email with no problems, but when the XLS file is opened on the phone, it returns an error of: Invalid format. Everyone else can open the report with no problems (email/blackberry) The odd thing, is I can drag the file to my desktop from the message, open it, save it, and then email it again and it opens just fine on the phone. Does anyone know of hotfix that can be applied to the SSRS server to create the XLS files correctly? Or something I can change to make this work? I know we can send all the attachments in PDF but I'd like to keep them XLS if at all possible.

• Postfix - suspend domain from which deferred status was received?

  Is there a possibility to make Postfix stop trying (for a period of time) to send emails to a domain from which it received a deferred response? Currently my Postfix goes through each address in the queue. Please see the below example. At 09:48:32 the status=deferred appears. After this Postfix should stop trying to send stuff to the yahoo.com domain.   Hello, Currently I have a server (dev tun) running openVPN and my WinXP client is able to connect to the server just fine. I have an ethernet device and I need to send data to a computer under the server's network, so since the device can't connect on its own I need to configurate my Windows XP to share its VPN connection. So, on my WinXP machine i have: Network Adapter #1 (ip 192.168.0.2 gw 192.168.0.1 with internet access). OpenVPN Connection (dhcp). Network Adapter #2 (crossover cable with device). Here is my client.ovpn cert gertec.crt key gertec.key client ns-cert-type server user nobody group nobody remote IP PORT ca ca.crt dev tun dev-node OpenVPN proto udp resolv-retry infinite nobind comp-lzo verb 3 I would appreciate any help.

  I have my sendmail.cf file configured to send local mail and to receive external mail to local users. So sending mail from the server to the external world works fine, but the other way around does not... I get an error e-mail saying: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected] Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.7.1 root@75.xxx.xxx.xxx... Relaying denied (state 14). Also I can't find logs in /var/log, all I see is this binary file in /var/log/mail/statistics Thanks!

I can telnet to port 444 on the server and verify that the port is open and listening. Any ideas? • Sending emails from PHP - email providers vs GAE

  I need to send emails from my social service (this is continuation of Experiences in mailing to registered users). I got strong feeling that it's better to avoid problems with email server configuration and maintance and to choose email provider which will take care of all painful problems. So several offers were compared: http://imgur.com/JkK2X.jpg Three of them look very attractive: Postageapp / Sendgrid / CritSend As alternative i'm considering setup GAE app. Email provider is quite easy to start work with, but have no idea how much effort require GAE to integrate with PHP. So my question is: which option is better to choose: email provider GAE ? Two factors are important here: business background (therefore prices are mentioned), work required to setup and maintain desired solution. Preferably i would love to avoid all email-related problems (like black lists and so on).

• System error 1219 has occurred

  I am trying to connect to a remote server and deploy a service there, through a deploy script. I start by stating "Net use" and send the credentials for the server. But here I get system 1219 error: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again. I am not aware that I have any connections other than this one to the server. I have tried net "use /delete" but was told that no connections were open to the server. What gives?
