• Jboss 5.1.0: java.lang.LinkageError: loader constraint violation for class javax.sql.DataSource

  have read quite a lot about this error, the reason is 1) more than one jar containing this class have been include into the classpath, 2)include the jar twice or more, but in my case, this class is • Use component id in Castle Windsor generic object configuration

  2 questions in one, but very much related. Is it possible with Castle Windsor to resolve a configuration entry such as - Assembly.Namespace.Object1`2[[${ComponentId1}],[${ComponentId2}]], Assembly Where ComponentId1 and ComponentId2 are defined as components. Castle Windsor doesn't seem to be resolving the ComponentId, it is just looking for ComponentId1 in the Castle.Windsor assembly. The second question comes in to play if you can't do the first question. Wrapper1 is waiting for the following dependencies: Services: - CastleWindsorPlay.Collector1 which was not registered. - CastleWindsorPlay.Processor3 which was not registered. The curious part about this is that I can get it to resolve Collector1 and Processor3 individually before the call to the wrapper, but the wrapper still can't see them. This is a basic example, the next thing I'd like to be able to do is when instantiating the Wrapper, set a property on the collector and/or processor. So it could be something like Collector.Id = 10, but set in the config where the wrapper is defined. I know there are errors in the Castle config here, that's why I'm asking the question, I don't know how to set the config up to do what I'm after, or even if it's possible to do it in Castle Windsor

• WCF over http settings needed

  Hello, We currently have a WCF Service that works over https. But we want to change it to make it work over just http. Could any one tell me what all do I need to change to make the the wcf service work over http. Below is my config file values. Is there anything I else I need to cahnge other than the web.config?? • AIDL based two way communication

  I have two apps between which I want some data exchanged. As they are running in different processes, so, I am using AIDL to communicate between them. Now, everything is happening really great in one direction (say my apps are A and B) i.e. data is being sent from A to B but, now I need to send some data from B to A. I noticed that we need to include the app with the AIDL in the build path of app where the AIDL method will be called. So in my case A includes B in its build path. For B to be able to send something to A, by that logic, B would need A in its build path. This would create a cycle. I am stuck at this point. And I cannot think of a work around this loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) . • Android - Using PreferenceScreen to display and save settings to/from ContentProvider

  I have my own custom Content Provider that loads a datasbase which contains the settings information for my application. I load the settings from the ContentProvider on the creation of my Settings activity. My Settings activity is made up of a PreferenceScreen and Dialog based EditText's. The following code shows how I use the preference screen and edit texts. So as you can see from the first image this works and displays the menu with the information underneath. The problem is in image two, when I click on a choice in the menu the dialog pops up but it is empty, I would like to be able to load the data from my content provider into the edit text in the dialog, so in image one it shows "Donal" as the user name so in image two "Donal" should also appear in the edit text in the dialog. I would also like to be able to listen to the OK button in the dialog so when a user changes a setting I can update the data in my content provider. Can anyone help me with what I'm trying to do?   I have an application which is making use of the RSACryptoServiceProvider to decrypt some data using a known private key (stored in a variable). When the IIS Application Pool is configured to use Network Service, everything runs fine.   I recently migrated a database from sql server 2005 to 2008 on windows server 2008. Clients connect fine from their XP machines and so does the SQL Management Studio 2008. I have also tested a remote connection using LINQPad which worked fine. However on my VB6 app, the connection string seems to give me problems. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? • How to encrypt Amazon CloudFront signature for private content access using canned policy

  Has anyone using .net actually worked out how to successfully sign a signature to use with CloudFront private content? After a couple of days of attempts all I can get is Access Denied. I have been working with variations of the following code and also tried using OpenSSL.Net and AWSSDK but that does not have a sign method for RSA-SHA1 yet. The signature (data) looks like this {"Statement":[{"Resource":"http://xxxx.cloudfront.net/xxxx.jpg","Condition":?{"DateLessThan":?{"AWS:EpochTime":1266922799}}}]} This method attempts to sign the signature for use in the canned url. • Crawler do not create custom crawled properties

  These days i have faced with very strange problem. I have development environment with MOSS 2007 SP 2 and WS 2008, i have search configured and everything works great. I have started to configuring staging environment (MOSS 2007 SP2 with June CU) and create new farm and new SSP. I have deployed my changes with package (wsp) and manually create site collections, sub webs, pages and so on. When fill crawl finishes, i see in Crawl log that all my pages have been successfully crawled and when i use some test tools to query search, my pages have been found. In crawl log there is few errors like http://mysite/sites/de/pages "The crawler could not communicate with the server. Check that the server is available and that the firewall access is configured correctly..", but all pages in this Page library were indexed. The problem is that i use custom managed properties (mapped to custom crawled properties) in search queries, but crawler didn't create crawled properties for all my new site columns. For example for site column IsAccent the crawler didn't create cralwed property ows_isAccesnt. I'm sure that i have created pages for specific content type and all my crawl categories have checked "Automatically discover new properties when a crawl takes place ". In site settings - Searchable columns i haven't got any column selected as Nocrowl. I tried to export my managed and crawled properties from dev environment to stage evironment but all my managed properties were empty, after that i recreated SSP...the result was the same... I checked specific page with tools like Sharepoint Manager 2007 and U2U Caml Query Builder 2007 that content type is correct, and i can see values of my custom site collumns.... Using U2U Caml Query Builder 2007 agains some Page library in Result tab i can see ows_IsAccent (my site collumn is IsAccent) and others site columns, but i can't find them in Crawled properties. Any idias?

• Delegates in .NET: how are they constructed ?

  While inspecting delegates in C# and .NET in general, I noticed some interesting facts: Creating a delegate in C# creates a class derived from MulticastDelegate with a constructor: .method public hidebysig specialname rtspecialname instance void .ctor(object 'object', native int 'method') runtime managed { } Meaning that it expects the instance and a pointer to the method. Yet the syntax of constructing a delegate in C# suggests that it has a constructor new MyDelegate(int () target) where I can recognise int () as a function instance (int *target() would be a function pointer in C++). So obviously the C# compiler picks out the correct method from the method group defined by the function name and constructs the delegate. So the first question would be, where does the C# compiler (or Visual Studio, to be precise) pick this constructor signature from ? I did not notice any special attributes or something that would make a distinction. Is this some sort of compiler/visualstudio magic ? If not, is the T (args) target construction valid in C# ? I did not manage to get anything with it to compile, e.g.: int () target = MyMethod; is invalid, so is doing anything with MyMetod, e.g. calling .ToString() on it (well this does make some sense, since that is technically a method group, but I imagine it should be possible to explicitly pick out a method by casting, e.g. (int())MyFunction. So is all of this purely compiler magic ? Looking at the construction through reflector reveals yet another syntax: Func CS$1$0000 = new Func(null, (IntPtr) Foo); This is consistent with the disassembled constructor signature, yet this does not compile! One final interesting note is that the classes Delegate and MulticastDelegate have yet another sets of constructors: .method family hidebysig specialname rtspecialname instance void .ctor(class System.Type target, string 'method') cil managed Where does the transition from an instance and method pointer to a type and a string method name occur ? Can this be explained by the runtime managed keywords in the custom delegate constructor signature, i.e. does the runtime do it's job here ?

• Removing and adding persistent stores to a core data application

  I'm using core data on an iPhone application. I have multiple persisntent stores that I'm switching from one to another so that only one of the stores can be active at the time. I have one managed object context and the different persistent stores are similar in data format (sqlite) and share the same managed object model. I'm importing the data to each persistent store from a respective XML file. For the first import everything works fine, but after I remove the imported data (the persistent store and the physical file) and then re-import, core data gives me an error: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSObjectInaccessibleException', reason: 'The NSManagedObject with ID:0x3c14e00 <x-coredata://6D14F11E-2EA7-4141-9BE8-53747DE6FCC6/Book/p2> has been invalidated.' This error comes from the save: of NSManagedObjectContext. Before re-importing, i'm removing the persistent store from the persistent store coordinator and removing the physical file, so everything should be as if re-importing was done for the first time. Alos, the objects in managed object context are removed and the context is sent the reset: message (I don't know if this is actually needed). Could some one help me out here? • Problems with zend-tool reporting that providers are not valid

  I have recently setup XAMPP 1.7.3 and ZendFramework 1.10.4 on a new computer and many of the commands that I normally use now fail. Here are the steps I used to setup and test ZF. First I added the ZF library folder (C:\xampp\php\ZendFramework-1.10.4\library) to the include path in php.ini. Then I added the ZF bin folder (C:\xampp\php\ZendFramework-1.10.4\bin) to my Path system variable. To test that everything is configured correctly I ran the command "zf show version" from the command line. The result is "Zend Framework Version: 1.9.6". Immediately something appears to be wrong. The file that is downloaded is "ZendFramework-1.10.4.zip" and the reported version is 1.9.6. I have re-downloaded the latest version (1.10.4) and removed old copy. Still the incorrect version number problem persisted. Having done some research there is a bug in the ZF knowledgebase that version 1.10.3 reports a wrong version number. So that may explain the version number problem. Moving forward I tried to run some zf-tool commands and certain commands reports that the action or provider is not valid. • Memory leak with NSData

  I'm having a leak with this code without being able to find where it's coming from. This function get called within an autorelease pool. I release the IplImage* image argument. When I run the ObjAlloc tool, it tells me that "NSData* data" is leaking. If I try to manually release the UIImage returned by this function, I get an EXC_BAD_ACCESS error, probably because this UIImage is autoreleased. I'm a bit confused, any hint would be appreciated.   We have an application parsing date/time values in the following format: 2009-10-10 09:19:12.124 2009-10-10 12:13:14.852 2009-10-10 13:00:00 2009-10-10 15:23:32.022 One particular server all of the sudden (today) started failing to parse any times 13:00:00 or later. This particular client has five servers and only one has the problem. We have dozens of other clients with a total of hundreds of servers without the problem. System.FormatException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime. at System.DateTimeParse.Parse(String s, DateTimeFormatInfo dtfi, DateTimeStyles styles) at System.DateTime.Parse(String s, IFormatProvider provider) at System.Convert.ToDateTime(String value, IFormatProvider provider) at System.String.System.IConvertible.ToDateTime(IFormatProvider provider) at System.Convert.ToDateTime(Object value) I ran a test using DateTime.Parse(s, CultureInfo.CurrentCulture) comapred to DateTime.Parse(s, CultureInfo.InvariantCulture) and the problem only shows up with CurrentCulture. However, CurrentCulture is "en-US" just like all the other servers and there's nothing different that I can find in regional or language settings. Has anyone seen this before? Suggestions related to what I can look into? EDIT: Thank you for the answers so far. However, I'm looking for suggestions on what configuration to look into that could have caused this to suddenly change behavior and stop working when it's worked for years and works on hundreds of other servers. I've already changed it for the next version, but I'm looking for a configuration change to fix this in the interim for the current installation.

  I have a Windows Forms app that itself launches different threads to do different kinds of work. Occasionally, ALL threads (including the UI thread) become frozen, and my app becomes unresponsive. I've decided it may be a Garbage Collector-related issue, as the GC will freeze all managed threads temporarily. • JSF Render response programmatically

  I have one parent page with a parentManagedBean (attached to Session Scope). On click of a button on this parent page, one popup comes which has a childManagedBean (attached to Request scope). Now ChildManagedBean holds a reference to parentManaged bean through JSF's managed property facility. On this popup window, user selects some option which populates a large value object. I use the managed property of childManagedBean to set the values from this large object to that of parentManagedBean. Problem is - The parent page shows a link, on click of which a popup comes, on selection of the popup, the popup disappears and set the values to the parentManaged bean. So far so good, but the newly set values need to appear on the parent page. This is where I am stuck. How to programmatically render the master page/render page when I am at the child managed bean? Is there a way I can get handle of the parent page and refresh it? Note: I'm using JSF 1.1 EDIT- After following the solution of "resubmit-ing the form" from javascript, I am seeing that the old form is getting resubmitting which overwrites all of my changed values.

  Hi guys, I'm getting an Automation error upon running VBA code in Excel 2007. I'm attempting to connect to a remote SQL Server DB and load data to from Excel to SQL Server. The error I get is, "Run-time error '-2147217843(80040e4d)': Automation error". I checked out the MSDN site and it suggested that this may be due to a bug associated with the sqloledb provider and one way to mitigate this is to use ODBC. Well I changed the connection string to reflect ODBC provider and associated parameters and I'm still getting the same error.   I've come across an issue where a web application has managed to create a cookie on the client, which, when submitted by the client to Apache, causes Apache to return the following: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request Date: Mon, 08 Mar 2010 21:21:21 GMT Server: Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Content-Length: 7274 Connection: close Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> <html><head> <title>400 Bad Request</title> </head><body> <h1>Bad Request</h1> <p>Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.<br /> Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.<br /> <pre> Cookie: ::: A REALLY LONG COOKIE ::: </pre> </p> <hr> <address>Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at www.foobar.com Port 80</address> </body></html> After looking into the issue, it would appear that the web application has managed to create a really long cookie, over 7000 characters. Now, don't ask me how the web application was able to do this, I was under the impression browsers were supposed to prevent this from happening. I've managed to come up with a solution to prevent the cookies from growing out of control again. The issue I'm trying to tackle is how do I reset the large cookie on the client if every time the client tries to submit a request to Apache, Apache returns a 400 client error? I've tried using the ErrorDocument directive, but it appears that Apache bails on the request before reaching any custom error handling.
