  • jquery ready function: script not detecting a function

    There is a web page with place holder (a normal div). Via ajax calls I am loading a <form> and a <script> into the place holder. The script contains necessary javascript to initialize the form (i.e. for e.g. disable the controls so as to make form read-only, etc). Here is a piece of code I have; it works, but the commented part doesn't work.     Hey I have a table, where i have a click event on the tr: <tr id="<%= candidate.AnsogerID %>" class="newCandidatesTableTr"> , this click event: $(".newCandidatesTableTr").click(function(e) { works just fine, but in the row i also have a click event on a td: $(".insertCandidate").live("click", (function(e) { and this conflicts eachother. I want to do one thing if the tr is clicked and other when this specific td in the tr is clicked. So how do i in my tr.click() event defined that the event shall not happend when i click the specific td?     I have an AJAX chat room module in Drupal and I am trying to insert BBCode stlye tex tags to the submit box when the user clicks Insert Tex.     I have a <video> element that is generated by js, and I need to get the height and width of it. var v = $('video'); v.height() returns null, because when it's run, the video hasn't yet been loaded, so no dimensions in the DOM. How do I check to see if the video has received a dimension, and if it hasn't, wait till it has to get the height and width. Thanks.

I have got the button and textarea to hide and show when you click on the radio button it shows the text area and button. But this only appears at the top and when there are hundreds on the page this will become awkward so i need a way for it to appear underneath.   • jQuery .animate chains, callbacks, and .stop(true, true)

    So I have a animation chain (.animate().animate().animate()), and on the last .animate(), there is a callback to do some clean-up. The animation is triggered by the hash in the address changing (#page1, #page2, etc.) -- so when the user changes the history state rapidly, if there is a currently executing animation, it needs to stop so they don't queue up. The problem is, if I add a .stop(true, true), it appears only to jump to end of the currently running animation -- and executes only its callback, if there is one. What I need is for it to jump to the end of all of the chained animations, and fire all of the callbacks (well, really just the last one). Is this possible somehow? Huge thanks.
