Wireless suddenly dropping with a Ralink RT2870

I have a Linksys WUSB600N v1 Dual-Band Wireless-N Network Adapter Ralink RT2870 USB dongle that worked flawlessly in 11.10. Since upgrading, I can't keep a connection for more than five minutes. The wild world of Google was unable to provide a solution, and I would rather not downgrade although that remains a possibility. What is the best way to have the same website in multiple domains?

I would like to have the same website to sell a specific product, in multiple domains , to take advantage of keywords matching the domain name, for several different searches. However, I understand that having the same content in multiple sites will unleash the wrath of Google. If I have a redirect from all domains minus one, to that last one, do I still get any bonus for the "magic exact domain match jackpot"? Same question applies to canonical URLs... What's the best way to approach this? Thanks!

I'm new to Ubuntu so I don't really know much yet. I encountered this problem while on the terminal: E: Malformed line 6 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist parse) E: The list of sources could not be read. What should I do? Help would be much appreciated. Bummer | Visual Studio 2012 Error on Web Publish–July Update

Always a bummer when you update a product and something stops working. I am hoping it is an installation issue, but each time I go to run “Publish..” in my Web Application, the publish works, but Visual Studio 2012 crashes. I just noticed this beginning after I ran the Visual Studio 2012 RC July Updates. Can someone else give it a go and see if they see the same problem? I am using File System publishing. "Wireless disabled by hardware switch" after suspend and other hardware buttons ineffective - how can I solve this?

I have recently purchased a Novatech nFinity N1410 laptop and am having problems with the wireless, which sudo lshw -C network tells me is Centrino Wireless-N 2230 and using the iwlwifi driver. The problem is that after the device has been suspended, I am not able to get the wireless working again without a restart. The network indicator states that the wireless disabled by hardware switch. Though Fn+F2 is meant to be the wireless switch, xev tells me that the system doesn't see it as anything at all when I press this hardware combination. Also, though the brightness up/down buttons work fine, the volume up/down buttons do not work either. What can I do to fix this? I am running Ubuntu 12.10 with all available updates installed.

My Oracle Support 6.3 was released over the weekend (13-Oct-2012), and with that we released 30+ enhancements and 60+ bug fixes. Most important changes Search Suggestions are auto-correcting spelling errors, more suggestions for 'how to' type questions, enhanced usability to see the suggested additional terms. Improved Knowledge Base region on the My Oracle Support dashboard: recent searches from this region now retain the search attributions (e.g. pre-selected products or release). Search Tip: if the Knowledge Base region doesn't show up as the first region in the right column on the My Oracle Support dashboard, consider personalizing your dashboard to put it first, so that you right there for searching. Gnome 3 panel and menus are all gone?

I am running Ubuntu 11.10 using gnome 3 shell. I have set my pc to automatically log into gnome shell so I do not see the login screen. Today I installed some updates and now the gnome panel is gone. When my pc logs in I ONLY see the background. There are no menus, nothing! Even the exit, minimize and maximise buttons in the top tight corner of the windows are gone. Also, alt+f2 also does not work. Any ideas how to fix this? I have a Nvidia Geforce 7900GTO with the Nvidia proprietary drivers installed. I have also used the recovery mode and removed some packages that apparently were broken. Still does not work.

Sales tracker that allows complex queries?

On a site, every click on a product should be registered by a sales tracker: price, type, etc. The sales tracker should provide an API so that complex queries can be performed, such as: Which products of a type "teapot" had a price below 20 EUR? Requirements: Recorded data should be available for querying no later than two hours after it has been recorded. For example, there are reports that Google Analytics may take up to 24h to update data. That is not acceptable. Querying doesn't need to be fast, but recording does (of course). Which sales tracker allows complex queries against collected data?

Alsa doesn't work in vlc

Alsa Audio Output works fine from terminal, e.g. aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Noise.wav. But I got to change from default to Alsa Audio Output in vlc. I found it in Tools Perfernces Audio Outputs. The issue is that when I change it to Alsa, I Loose all sound. When I leave the default I get an annoying Audio delay of about 200ms or 500ms. From what I have found you have to use Alsa Audio Outpu to fix that issue. Updated 6-26-2011 10:28pm To fix the Alsa Audio Output: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ferramroberto/vlc sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install vlc mozilla-plugin-vlc then, opened Update Manager, there were 2 updates for vlc there, I installed them and rebooted. Now alsa works fine and audio is in sync with video.

OpenJDK 6 B26 Available

On September 21, 2012 the source bundle for OpenJDK 6 b26 was published at http://download.java.net/openjdk/jdk6/. The main changes in b26 are the latest round of security updates and a number of other fixes. For more information see the detailed list of all the changes in OpenJDK 6 B26. Wireless xbox360 pad connected with xboxdrv doesn't show in jstest

So Lubuntu 13.04, 3.4.0. I'm trying to use my wireless xbox controller. I've installed xboxdrv. I have to run it with sudo, or I get USBController::USBController(): libusb_open() failed: LIBUSB_ERROR_ACCESS. If I connect the adapter, run the program, and then press the button on the gamepad to connect it, it never really connects - just flashes like it's searching. If I reboot, leaving the controller searching, and run the command again while it's searching after I boot up, the controller connects (the light becomes solid in one corner). Using pkill xboxdrv and then relaunching it doesn't work. Regardless, no matter what I do, the gamepad never shows up in jstest-gtk. sudo xboxdrv --debug gives me: Controller: Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (PC) Vendor/Product: 045e:0719 USB Path: 002:005 Wireless Port: 0 Controller Type: Xbox360 (wireless) [DEBUG] XboxdrvMain::run(): creating UInput [DEBUG] XboxdrvMain::run(): creating ControllerSlotConfig [DEBUG] UInput::create_uinput_device(): create device: 65534 [DEBUG] LinuxUinput::LinuxUinput(): Xbox Gamepad (userspace driver) 0:0 Any ideas?

how to launch grub menu for ubuntu guests in virtualbox?

I have ubuntu 12.04 alpha installed in virtualbox. When the virtual machine is started, it boots directly to the login screen without showing the grub menu. How can I get the grub menu to show up on start? Please note: the graphics is broken after recent updates, so i cannot login and make the changes. it is stuck at the screen "Ubuntu is running on low graphics mode" and the mouse and other keys do not work. Java JRE 7 Certified with Oracle E-Business Suite

Java Runtime Environment 7u10 (a.k.a. JRE 1.7.0_10 build 18) and later updates on the JRE 7 codeline are now certified with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i and 12 Windows-based desktop clients. What do you need to do and where are the official patch requirements? EBS customers should ensure that they are running JRE 7u10, at minimum, on Windows desktop clients. There are also official patch requirements to avoid compatibility issues of E-Business Suite with JRE 7.
