  • CKEditor plugin to close editor

    - by David Lawson
    The problem with destroying the editor from within a plugin, is that certain code tries to use the editor after the destructive plugin code, when in fact the editor is no longer there, causing errors and instability. I have come up with the following code for a plugin which closes the editor using both async:true and setTimeout: var cancelAddCmd = { modes : { wysiwyg:1, source:1 }, async: true, exec : function( editor ) { if(confirm('Are you sure you want to cancel editing and discard all content?')) setTimeout(function() { editor.destroy(); }, 100); } }; The problem I see is that it uses a dodgy setTimout call that would likely have mixed results depending on the computer's speed of execution - 100ms might not have passed by the time it would be OK to destroy the editor. Is there a proper way to destroy the editor from within a plugin? Even with async: true; and no setTimeout errors are created. Maybe a possible solution would be to stop any existing/any more code related to the editor from running afterwards, if possible? I have tried using events, like on('afterCommandExec', function(){ editor.destroy(); }) and some other events, but that hasn't helped much... doesn't seem like there is an event for when the editor has jumped out of its stack call for handling the button. And there is no way to stop execution by disposing of the CKEditor instance more properly?

  • How to detect invalid image URL with JAVA?

    - by Cataclysm
    I have a method to download image from URL. As like below.. public static byte[] downloadImageFromURL(final String strUrl) { InputStream in; ByteArrayOutputStream out = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); try { URL url = new URL(strUrl); in = new BufferedInputStream(url.openStream()); byte[] buf = new byte[2048]; int n = 0; while (-1 != (n = in.read(buf))) { out.write(buf, 0, n); } out.close(); in.close(); } catch (IOException e) { return null; } return out.toByteArray(); } I have an image url and it is valid. for example. https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTxfYM-hnD-Z80tgWdIgQKchKe-MXVUfTpCw1R5KkfJlbRbgr3Zcg My problem is I don't want to download if image is really not exists.Like .... https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTxfYM-hnD-Z80tgWdIgQKchKe-MXVUfTpCw1R5KkfJlbRbgr3Zcgaaaaabbbbdddddddddddddddddddddddddddd This image shouldn't be download by my method. So , how can I know the giving image URL is not really exists. I don't want to validate my URL (I think that may not my solution ). So, I googled for that. From this article ... How to check if a URL exists or returns 404 with Java? and Java check if file exists on remote server using its url But this con.getResponseCode() will always return status code "200". This mean my method will also download invalid image urls. So , I output my bufferStream as like... System.out.println(in.read(buf)); Invalid image URL produces "43". So , I add these lines of codes in my method. if (in.read(buf) == 43) { return null; } It is ok. But I don't think that will always satisfy. Has another way to get it ? am I right? I would really appreciate any suggestions. This problem may struct my head. Thanks for reading my question.

  • image filter that spits out pi

    - by patrickinmpls
    I've seen this before but I forgot what's its called. Does anyone know of software that takes a picture and spits out an image of the number pi, ie. 3.14... not the symbol? It basically kinda looks like ascii art but the numbers are different shades of gray so it is like a black and white photo. Thanks!

  • How to mount a compressed ISO image?

    - by dma_k
    I have problem to mount a compressed (ISZ) image under Linux, which was created by e.g. UltraISO? I am aware about user-space fuseiso, but it fails to mount these images, as I have reported in Debian bugtracker (correct me if I ddi something wrong). I ask the community for a help: I need a proved solution to mount these images without decompressing them. I believe that CONFIG_ZISOFS kernel option cannot help, as it refers a special RockRidge extension (per-file compression with mkisofs -z or mkzftree).

  • Add a Hovering Image Toolbar to Firefox

    - by Asian Angel
    When you work with webpage images in Firefox you normally have to use the Context Menu to do anything with them. The Image Toolbar extension provides an extra toolbar to use when you hover your mouse over webpage images. Note: This extension will not function if you have the NoScript extension installed/enabled unless JavaScript has permission to be active on that page. Before You can see the available “Context Menu” options for working with images here. Not bad but it would be nice if some other convenient options were available as well. Image Toolbar in Action Once you have installed the extension you will be able to view the toolbar whenever you hover your mouse over an image. All of the commands are active by default but you can choose what is available in the options. The toolbar will also appear in the upper left region of the image but can be set to appear relative to the cursor. Note: The default minimum image size for the toolbar to appear over is “260 x 260 pixels” so you will probably want to change it to a much smaller size (see options below). Here is what is available in the Image Toolbar: Save – Choose between being prompted when saving or automatically saving to a specified location Copy – Copies image and image URL so that you can paste the image or URL depending on the app pasted into Print – Provides print preview and printing capabilities Info – Opens a window with “properties information” about the image Folder – Opens browser’s download folder in Windows Explorer The “Save, Copy, Print, & Folder Commands” are all pretty clear in what you can expect from them but what about the “Info Command”? This is what you will see if you use the “Info Command” and expand the window out all the way. Very nice… Options There are quite a few options available for what appears to be such a small toolbar. The first “Tab Area” lets you set up the “Save Scheme” that best suits your personal needs. You can choose which commands are available in the toolbar, decide if you would like text labels visible, and enable small icons if desired. As mentioned above the default image size for the toolbar to appear is “260 x 260 pixels”…we set ours for “10 x 10 pixels”. If you would like the toolbar to appear relative to your mouse cursor as opposed to the upper left corner of the image then you can select for that here. Conclusion If you have been wanting more options for working with webpage images in Firefox then this will make a very useful and convenient addition to your browser. • When JDeveloper IDE doesn't render the visual editor

    - by Frank Nimphius
    Though with Oracle JDeveloper 11g the problem of the IDE not rendering JSF pages properly in the visual editor has become rare, there always is a way for the creative to break IDE functionality. A possible reason for the visual editor in JDeveloper to break is a failed dependency reference, which often is in a custom JSF PhaseListener configured in the faces-config.xml file. To avoid this from happening, surround the code in your PhaseListener class with the following statement (for example in the afterPhase method) public void afterPhase(PhaseEvent phaseEvent) {   if(!ADFContext.getCurrent().isDesigntime()){ ... listener code here ... } } The reason why the visual editor in Oracle JDeveloper fails rendering the WYSIWYG view has to do with how the live preview is created. To produce the visual display of a view, JDeveloper actually runs the ADF Faces view in JSF, which then also invokes defined PhaseListeners. With the code above, you check whether the PhaseListener code is executed at runtime or design time.If it is executed in design time, you ignore all calls to external resources that are not available at design time.

  • How do I load an image from sd card into coverview

    - by Jolene
    I am doing an application which consists of a cover flow. Currently I am trying to make the cover flow images be obtained from the sd card. But I am not exactly sure how should I display the image. this is the image adapter: public class ImageAdapter extends BaseAdapter { int mGalleryItemBackground; private Context mContext; private FileInputStream fis; private Integer[] mImageIds = { //Instead of using r.drawable, i need to load the images from my sd card instead R.drawable.futsing, R.drawable.futsing2 }; private ImageView[] mImages; public ImageAdapter(Context c) { mContext = c; mImages = new ImageView[mImageIds.length]; } public int getCount() { return mImageIds.length; } public Object getItem(int position) { return position; } public long getItemId(int position) { return position; } @TargetApi(8) public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { int screenSize = getResources().getConfiguration().screenLayout & Configuration.SCREENLAYOUT_SIZE_MASK; ImageView i = new ImageView(mContext); i.setImageResource(mImageIds[position]); switch(screenSize) { case Configuration.SCREENLAYOUT_SIZE_XLARGE: //Toast.makeText(this, "Small screen",Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); Display display4 = ((WindowManager) context.getSystemService(Context.WINDOW_SERVICE)).getDefaultDisplay(); int rotation4 = display4.getRotation(); Log.d("XLarge:",String.valueOf(rotation4)); /** LANDSCAPE **/ if(rotation4 == 0 || rotation4 == 2) { i.setLayoutParams(new CoverFlow.LayoutParams(300, 300)); i.setScaleType(ImageView.ScaleType.CENTER_INSIDE); BitmapDrawable drawable = (BitmapDrawable) i.getDrawable(); drawable.setAntiAlias(true); return i; } /** PORTRAIT **/ else if (rotation4 == 1 || rotation4 == 3) { i.setLayoutParams(new CoverFlow.LayoutParams(650, 650)); i.setScaleType(ImageView.ScaleType.CENTER_INSIDE); BitmapDrawable drawable = (BitmapDrawable) i.getDrawable(); drawable.setAntiAlias(true); return i; } break; default: } return null; } /** Returns the size (0.0f to 1.0f) of the views * depending on the 'offset' to the center. */ public float getScale(boolean focused, int offset) { /* Formula: 1 / (2 ^ offset) */ return Math.max(0, 1.0f / (float)Math.pow(2, Math.abs(offset))); } } and this is how i download and save the file. I need to use the image saved and upload it into my coverflow // IF METHOD TO DOWNLOAD IMAGE void downloadFile() { new Thread(new Runnable(){ // RUN IN BACKGROUND THREAD TO AVOID FREEZING OF UI public void run(){ Bitmap bmImg; URL myFileUrl = null; try { //for (int i = 0; i < urlList.size(); i ++) //{ //url = urlList.get(i); myFileUrl = new URL("http://static.adzerk.net/Advertisers/d18eea9d28f3490b8dcbfa9e38f8336e.jpg"); // RETRIEVE IMAGE URL //} } catch (MalformedURLException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } try { HttpURLConnection conn = (HttpURLConnection) myFileUrl.openConnection(); conn.setDoInput(true); conn.connect(); InputStream in = conn.getInputStream(); Log.i("im connected", "Download"); bmImg = BitmapFactory.decodeStream(in); saveFile(bmImg); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); }} }).start(); // START THREAD } // SAVE THE IMAGE AS JPG FILE private void saveFile(Bitmap bmImg) { File filename; try { // GET EXTERNAL STORAGE, SAVE FILE THERE File storagePath = new File(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory(),"Covers"); storagePath.mkdirs(); filename = new File(storagePath + "/image.jpg"); FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(filename); bmImg.compress(Bitmap.CompressFormat.JPEG, 90, out); out.flush(); out.close(); MediaStore.Images.Media.insertImage(getContentResolver(),filename.getAbsolutePath(), filename.getName(), filename.getName()); // ONCE THE DOWNLOAD FINISHES, CLOSE DIALOG Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Image Saved!", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } }
