  • Boost.MultiIndex: Are there way to share object between two processes?

    - by Arman
    Hello, I have a Boost.MultiIndex big array about 10Gb. In order to reduce the reading I thought there should be a way to keep the data in the memory and another client programs will be able to read and analyse it. What is the proper way to organize it? The array looks like: struct particleID { int ID;// real ID for particle from Gadget2 file "ID" block unsigned int IDf;// postition in the file particleID(int id,const unsigned int idf):ID(id),IDf(idf){} bool operator<(const particleID& p)const { return ID<p.ID;} unsigned int getByGID()const {return (ID&0x0FFF);}; }; struct ID{}; struct IDf{}; struct IDg{}; typedef multi_index_container< particleID, indexed_by< ordered_unique< tag<IDf>, BOOST_MULTI_INDEX_MEMBER(particleID,unsigned int,IDf)>, ordered_non_unique< tag<ID>,BOOST_MULTI_INDEX_MEMBER(particleID,int,ID)>, ordered_non_unique< tag<IDg>,BOOST_MULTI_INDEX_CONST_MEM_FUN(particleID,unsigned int,getByGID)> > > particlesID_set; Any ideas are welcome. kind regards Arman.

  • Is it an MD5 digest in this Python script?

    - by brilliant
    Hello, I am trying to understand this simple hashlib code in Python that has been given to me the other day on "Stackoverflow": import hashlib m = hashlib.md5() m.update("Nobody inspects") m.update(" the spammish repetition here") m.digest() '\xbbd\x9c\x83\xdd\x1e\xa5\xc9\xd9\xde\xc9\xa1\x8d\xf0\xff\xe9' m.digest_size 16 m.block_size 64 print m I thought that "print m" would show me the MD5 digest of the phrase: "Nobody inspects the spammish repetition here", but as a result I got this line on my local host: <md5 HASH object @ 01806220> Strange, when I refreshed the page, I got another line: <md5 HASH object @ 018062E0> and every time when I refresh it, I get another value: md5 HASH object @ 017F8AE0 md5 HASH object @ 01806220 md5 HASH object @ 01806360 md5 HASH object @ 01806400 md5 HASH object @ 01806220 Why is it so? I guess, what I have in each line flowing "@" is not really a digest. Then, what is it? And how can I display MD5 digest here in this code? My python version is Python 2.5 and the framework I am currently using is webapp (I have downloaded it together with SDK from "Google App Engine")

  • Dotted Border turns to solid if object is animated with jQuery.

    - by Serg Chernata
    I have a simple setup: an image and then a paragraph with a bit of info that is hidden and then slides up over the image on mouse hover. If I try to apply a border-top that is dashed or dotted onto the paragraph it simply turns into a solid line. Is this a known issue with a fix? I even tried adding the dotted border through jQuery and it still comes out as a solid line. <div class="wrap"> <img src="images/fillertxt.jpg" alt="image" /> <img src="images/filler.jpg" class="front" alt="image" /> <p class="info"> This is a short description with a bit of text. </p> </div> .wrap .info { width:204px; height:50px; background:url(images/infobg.jpg) repeat-x #8d9c0c; color:#f7f5ef; padding:3px; position:absolute; top:142px; left:0; border-top:3px dotted #8d9c0c; } $(document).ready(function(){ $("p.info").css("border-top","3px dotted #8d9c0c"); $(function(){ bindTypeOne(); $("input[type=radio]").click(function(){ if ($(this).attr("rel") == "type1"){ bindTypeOne(); } else if ($(this).attr("rel") == "type2"){ bindTypeTwo(); } }); }); function bindTypeOne() { $("div.wrap").hover(function(){ $(this).children("p.info").stop(); $(this).children(".front").stop().animate({"top":"141px"}, 400); },function(){ $(this).children("p.info").stop(); $(this).children(".front").stop().animate({"top":"0"}, 700); }); }; function bindTypeTwo() { $("div.wrap").hover(function(){ $(this).children(".front").stop(); $(this).children("p.info").stop().animate({"top":"80px","border-top":"3px dotted #8d9c0c"}, 400); },function(){ $(this).children(".front").stop(); $(this).children("p.info").stop().animate({"top":"142px"}, 700); }); }; });

  • How do I get a list of child elements from XDocument object?

    - by Nick
    Hello.. I am trying to get all of the "video" elements and their attributes from an XML file that looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <videos> <video title="video1" path="videos\video1.wma"/> <video title="video2" path="videos\video2.wma"/> <video title="video3" path="videos\video3.wma"/> </videos> The following will only select the root node and all of the children. I would like to get all of the 'video' elements into the IEnumerable. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? IEnumerable<XElement> elements = from xml in _xdoc.Descendants("videos") select xml; The above returns a collection with a length == 1. It contains the root element and all the children.

  • Understanding CABasicAnimation when spinning an object from a random angle....

    - by user157733
    I have spent ages trying to figure this out and I am still having problems. I want to rotate an image a random number of time - say 5 and a bit - then have it stop. I then want to rotate it again FROM ITS STOPPED POSITION. I am having difficulty with this so maybe someone can advise me on the right way to do it. Ok so I am using a CABasicAnimation for the spin like this... CABasicAnimation* rotationAnimation; rotationAnimation = [NSNumber numberWithFloat: 0.0]; rotationAnimation.toValue = [NSNumber numberWithFloat: M_PI * 1.0]; rotationAnimation.duration = 100; rotationAnimation.cumulative = YES; rotationAnimation.repeatCount = 5.2; rotationAnimation.removedOnCompletion = NO; rotationAnimation.fillMode = kCAFillModeForwards; [myView.layer addAnimation:rotationAnimation forKey:@"rotationAnimation"]; This works fine. I use a animationDidStop function to transform the image to the new angle so that it actually in the new position (not just appearing that way). This is where my problems start. I have tried the following... removing the toValue line which means the animation starts from where it currently is but when the animation block is repeated it jumps back to this start position every time the block is run storing the value of the end rotation and using this in the toValue so the 2 lines of code become... rotationAnimation = [NSNumber numberWithFloat: previousVal]; rotationAnimation.toValue = [NSNumber numberWithFloat: (M_PI * 1.0)+previousVal]; when I do this the animation still jumps because it is flicking back to the previousVal everytime the block is repeated Therefore my final thought is to check to see if the image is at zero, if not then rotate it to zero, then impliment the block of code to spin multiple times. This seems complicated but is this the ONLY way to achieve this? I am concerned about getting the timings smooth with this method. Any suggestions would be amazing! Thanks

  • Memcached and Rails Fragment Caching Issue

    - by Michael Waxman
    When I have 2 views that fragment cache the same query BUT display them differently, there is only one fragment and they both display it the same way. Is there any way around this? For example... #views/posts/list - cache(@posts) do - for p in @posts = p.title #views/posts/list_with_images - cache(@posts) do - for p in @posts = p.title = p.content = image_tag(p.image_url) #controllers/posts_controller def list ... @posts = Post.all end def list_with_images ... @posts = Post.all end

  • Caching web API proxy?

    - by Jeremy Dunck
    I was wondering if anyone knows of a caching proxy specifically for dealing with API responses? Ideally, I'd be able to declare what caching policy to use for different API semantics, e.g. cache album art for 1 day, cache favorite tweets for 5 minutes, cache map tiles forever, except invalidate when this other API is called. I know about using Apache, Squid, etc for caching in general -- I'm just hoping for something with nicer usage semantics by restricting the design goal to dealing with APIs rather than the web in general.

  • Can I pass data into a HashMap<String,Object> from JSP to a JavaBean?

    - by Parris
    Hi Everyone, I am just starting out with JSP, Java, etc web development... I would love to use some sort of framework, but for this project I can't do that. In any case I want to potentially pass essentially limitless data (for flexibility) to my javabeans. My idea was if I can have key value pairs that would really easy. The values will always be strings or integers. HashMap seems ideal in this case. Is this possible? Any ideas? Can I do this with JSP Bean tags or should I write scriptlets? Thanks!!!

  • How best to convert CakePHP date picker form data to a PHP DateTime object?

    - by Daren Thomas
    I'm doing this in app/views/mymodel/add.ctp: <?php echo $form->input('Mymodel.mydatefield'); ?> And then, in app/controllers/mymodel_controller.php: function add() { # ... (if we have some submitted data) $datestring = $this->data['Mymodel']['mydatefield']['year'] . '-' . $this->data['Mymodel']['mydatefield']['month'] . '-' . $this->data['Mymodel']['mydatefield']['day']; $mydatefield = DateTime::createFromFormat('Y-m-d', $datestring); } There absolutly has to be a better way to do this - I just haven't found the CakePHP way yet... What I would like to do is: function add() { # ... (if we have some submitted data) $mydatefield = $this->data['Mymodel']['mydatefiled']; # obviously doesn't work }

  • How can I obtain raw data from a CVImageBuffer object.

    - by jslap
    Hi, I'm trying to use cocoa to grab images from a webcam. I'm able to get the image in RGBA format using the QTKit and the didOutputVideoFrame delegate call, and converting the CVImageBuffer to a CIImage and then to a NSBitmapImageRep. I know my camera grabs natively in YUV, what I want is to get the YUV data directly from the CVImageBuffer, and proccess the YUV frame before displaying it. My question is: How can I get the YUV data from the CVImageBuffer? thanks.

  • how to extend a protocol for a delegate in objective C, then subclass an object to require a conform

    - by fess .
    I want to subclass UITextView, and send a new message to the delegate. So, I want to extend the delegate protocol, What's the correct way to do this? I started out with this: interface: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> @class MySubClass; @protocol MySubClassDelegate <UITextViewDelegate> - (void) MySubClassMessage: (MySubClass *) subclass; @end @interface MySubClass : UITextView { } @end implementation: #import "MySubClass.h" @implementation MySubClass - (void) SomeMethod; { if ([self.delegate respondsToSelector: @selector (MySubClassMessage:)]) { [self.delegate MySubClassMessage: self]; } } @end however with that I get the warning: '-MySubClassMessage:' not found in protocol(s). I had one way working where I created my own ivar to store the delegate, then also stored the delegate using [super setDelegate] but that seemed wrong. perhaps it's not. I know I can just pass id's around and get by, but My goal is to make sure that the compiler checks that any delegate supplied to MySubClass conforms to MySubClassDelegate protocol. To further clairfy: @interface MySubClassTester : NSObject { } @implementation MySubClassTester - (void) one { MySubClass *subclass = [[MySubClass alloc] init]; subclass.delegate = self; } @end will produce the warning: class 'MySubClassTester' does not implement the 'UITextViewDelegate' protocol I want it to produce the warning about not implementing 'MySubClassDelegate' protocol instead. Thanks, a bunch. (thanks brad)

  • SQL Server: Can INFORMATION_SCHEMA Tell Me When a SQL Object Was Created?

    - by Jim G.
    Given: I added a non-nullable foreign key to a table. I settled on a way to populate the foreign key with default values. I checked in both changes to a re-runnable DB creation script. Other developers ran this script, and now they have the foreign key populated with default values on their developer machines. A few days later however... I changed my mind. Now I'd like to populate the foreign key's default values differently. My Question: Can SQL Server or INFORMATION_SCHEMA tell me when SQL objects were created? Ideally, I'd like to drop and re-add the foreign key if it was created before a certain date/time. Any help or alternative strategies would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, I'd like to avoid going to each developer's cube, asking them to drop the foreign key manually.

  • Terracotta With Hibernate and EHCache

    - by Joe Biron
    Head swimming with the product name soup at http://www.terracotta.org. Need someone to help clarify what I need. Background: app has some "legacy" persistence code that does not use Hibernate, but has a home-grown cache implementation. New entities are Hibernate enabled. What I want: to use Terracotta for Hibernate 2nd level cache. I think I then want to slide out the home-grown cache impl and slide in ehcache (very similar semantically to home-grown version) - obviously I want Terracotta to back that EHCache as well. Confused with: Will I be telling Hibernate that ehcache is it's cache provider, then configure ehcache to use terracotta? So (hibernate | legacy-persistence)- ehcache - terracotta Am I on the right track? Forgive the newb question but the terracotta.org site really confuses me since so much of it it trying to sell me the commercial varieties.

  • How do you tell what object is being touched in touchesBegan?

    - by Flafla2
    I know that this is a very commonly asked question, but all of the answers on every website don't work! If you still don't know what I mean, then maybe this line of code will help you understand. - (void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { UITouch *touch = [[event allTouches] anyObject]; CGPoint location = [touch locationInView:self.view]; if (touch.view == nextbutton) [self performSelector:@selector(next)]; if (touch.view == prevbutton) [self performSelector:@selector(previous)]; if (touch.view == moreoptionsbutton) [self performSelector:@selector(moresettings)]; } It doesn't do anything when you touch nextbutton, prevbutton, and more optionsbutton, which are UIImageViews by the way. I have also tried using isEqual: instead of ==, but that hasn't worked out either. Any suggestions?

  • map xml element to xsd complexType based on attribute

    - by Joshua Johnson
    Assume there exists an XML instance document that looks like this: <root> <object type="foo"> <!-- ... --> </object> <object type="bar"> <!-- ... --> </object> </root> My goal is to have a small (static) schema that verifies proper <element type="xxx" /> syntax for objects, and another schema (more prone to change) that verifies the contents of each object element against a complexType that matches the type attribute: <complexType name="foo"><!--should match object with type="foo"--></complexType> <complexType name="bar"><!--should match object with type="bar"--></complexType> What is the best way to accomplish this (or something similar)?

  • Should I map a domain object to a view model using an optional constructor?

    - by Byron Sommardahl
    I'd like to be able to map a domain model to a view model by newing up a view model and passing in the contributing domain model as a parameter (like the code below). My motivation is to keep from re-using mapping code AND to provide a simple way to map (not using automapper yet). A friend says the view model should not know anything about the "payment" domain model that's being passed into the optional constructor. What do you think? public class LineItemsViewModel { public LineItemsViewModel() { } public LineItemsViewModel(IPayment payment) { LineItemColumnHeaders = payment.MerchantContext.Profile.UiPreferences.LineItemColumnHeaders; LineItems = LineItemDomainToViewModelMapper.MapToViewModel(payment.LineItems); ConvenienceFeeAmount = payment.ConvenienceFee.Fee; SubTotal = payment.PaymentAmount; Total = payment.PaymentAmount + payment.ConvenienceFee.Fee; } public IEnumerable<Dictionary<int, string>> LineItems { get; set; } public Dictionary<int, string> LineItemColumnHeaders { get; set; } public decimal SubTotal { get; set; } public decimal ConvenienceFeeAmount { get; set; } public decimal Total { get; set; } }
