How do I switch to a SQL Server Server Database that will exist after another command?

I can't get this script to run, because SQL management studio 2008 says the table "NewName" does not exist. However, the script's purpose is to rename an existing database, so that it does exist when it gets to that line. Ideas? Use Master; ALTER DATABASE OldName SET SINGLE_USER WITH NO_WAIT; ALTER DATABASE OldName MODIFY NAME = NewName; ALTER DATABASE NewName SET MULTI_USER; Use NewName; --THIS LINE FAILS BEFORE THE SCRIPT EVEN RUNS!

SH/BASH - Scan a log file until some text occurs, then exit. How??

Current working environment is OSX 10.4.11. My current script: #!/bin/sh tail -f log.txt | while read line do if echo $line | grep -q 'LOL CANDY'; then echo 'LOL MATCH FOUND' exit 0 fi done It works properly the first time, but on the second run and beyond it takes 2 occurrences of 'LOL CANDY' to appear before the script will exit, for whatever reason. And although I'm not sure it is specifically related, there is the problem of the "tail -f" staying open forever. Can someone please give me an example that will work without using tail -f? If you want you can give me a bash script, as OSX can handle sh, bash, and some other shells I think.

How can I execute CGI files from PHP?

I'm trying to make a web app that will manage my Mercurial repositories for me. I want it so that when I tell it to load repository X: Connect to a MySQL server and make sure X exists. Check if the user is allowed to access the repository. If above is true, get the location of X from a mysql server. Run a hgweb cgi script (python) containing the path of the repository. Here is the problem, I want to: take the hgweb script, modify it, and run it. But I do not want to: take the hgweb script, modify it, write it to a file and redirect there. I am using Apache to run the httpd process.

drupal's hook_preprocess_page not working as expected

i am having an issue where hook_preprocess_page 's changes to &$variables is not being rendered, even though it is the last item under $theme_registry['page']['preprocess functions']. logging contents of $variables to a file show the contents changed, but contents appear unchanged on the site. flushed all cache on drupal, flushed all browser caches and still the same result. /** * Implementation of hook_preprocess_page(). */ function grinchlist_preprocess_page(&$variables) { if (grinchlist_usercheck($variables['user']['uid'])) { $variables['scripts'] = preg_replace('/<script[^>]*christmas_snow.*<\/script>/','',$variables['scripts']); } file_put_contents('/tmp/vars.txt',print_r($variables,true)); } the /tmp/vars.txt shows the variables properly, but the browser still show the script being loaded. this may be a silly example, but i've had this issue with the hook_preprocess_page in other instances and it would really help out to understand what is going on here... thanks.

Preload Images with javascript

Here is my preload script: <script type="text/javascript"> Image_1 = new Image(1,1); Image_1.src = "images/sprites.png"; </script> And it works fine. I can see in the headers the image loading. Here's my question. Even though I have preloaded sprites.png, I notice that when I go to a page on my site that simply displays that entire image, the headers tell me my browser is requesting the server to send the image again. I'm hoping to not sound too naive. But, why would the browser request the image when I preloaded it earlier? Are there other reasons the browser would need to re-request? Also, I put the dimensions as Image(1,1). Sometimes I don't know the dimensions, as that image gets updated from time to time. Maybe that's a reason?

Hello, I am trying to fire off a javascript method using the OnBegin AjaxOption in an Ajax method. However, when debugging with firebug the callback in unable to find the Javascript method and I do not know why. Setting amount of time to pass when sending emails in a loop

Forgive me for this noob question, but is there such a setting that sets a certain amount of time (e.g. milli/seconds) that has to pass in between sending emails through a script? How is that setting called and where do I change that setting? I'll give an example: I used to have a PHP script that sends emails like so: for ($i=0; $i<count($emails); $i++) { mail($email[$i],'test','test'); } It turned out that not all emails were sent successfully because the script ran so fast that there was not enough time in between sending emails that was required by the server. Did I make sense?

In the Script documents that asp.net automatically generates how can I surround the whole generated scripts with try/catch statement to avoid 'Microsoft JScript Compilation error' My issue is: i got a DevExpress control (ASPxGridView) that added and set-up in run time, since i activated the grouping functionality in the grid I still get JS error says ';' expected whenever i use (click) on one of grouping/sorting abilities, I activated script Debugging for IE, in the JS code turns out that there is no missing ';' and once i click ignore for the error msg that VS generates every thing works fine, and surly end-user can't see this msg so i figured out if i try/catch the script that may help avoid this error. Removing zombie locks in Subversion

I'm trying to find a way to remove zombie locks using the Subversion command line tools. The eventual goal is to do this from a hook script, but I haven't been able to work out the command line to use when you only have a physical repository path. (Using svnadmin rmlocks only seems to work for locks which exist in the HEAD revision.) Ideally, I'd like to do this via the post-commit hook script using the command line tools. (I'm aware of the python script for this purpose, but we'd prefer not to install python on that server for this single use.) We're a .NET shop, so creating a tool with the SharpSVN library is also a possibility, but the only unlock capability there appears to be in the SVNClient class. So it's really two questions: Is there a way to do this with the command line tools? If not, is there a way to do it from SharpSVN? (Or perhaps another library?)

Hi there, I've accidentally copied a large part of a folder tree from my SVN working copy to my shared Windows web host via FTP. The site is now littered with .svn directories and and I need some way of cleaning them. The only access I have to the server is via FTP, or by running a script on the server. Does any one have a script which can be run remotely to remove the files over FTP (any language Windows/Linux is fine) or a script in ASP, ASP.net or PHP I can run directly on the server to remove these directories? Hi, I modified this script from the net, which is suppose to install .exe applications for remote machines: $m = Read-Host "Enter machine name" $File = "c:\temp\office2007sp2-kb958194-fullfile-en-us.exe" $product = [WMICLASS]"\$m\ROOT\CIMV2:win32_Process" $product.Create($File) When I run this script, I have noticed that this program promptly creates a process in the remote machine with the application name office2007sp2-kb958194-fullfile-en-us.exe. This can be checked in the task manager also. But other than that, there is no way to find out if this is getting installed in the remote machine or not. Is there a way to find out, if the installation is really happening? Or does this script actually works? Any help will be great! Reagrds Arindam

AutoKey - clipboard.get_selection() function fails on certain strings

I've simplified my script so you can focus on the essence my problem. In AutoKey (not AutoHotKey), I made a Hot-Key (shift-alt-T) that performs this script on any string I have highlighted (like in gedit for example -- but any other gui editor too). strSelectedText = clipboard.get_selection() keyboard.send_keys(" " + strSelectedText) The script modifies the highlighted text and adds a space to the beginning of the string. It works for most strings I highlight, but not this one: * Copyright © 2008–2012 Lonnie Best. Licensed under the MIT License. It works for this string: * Add a Space 2.0.1 but not on this one: * Add a Space 2.0.1 – At the python command prompt, it has no problem any of those strings, yet the clipboard.get_selection() function seems to get corrupted by them. I'm rather new to python scripting, so I'm not sure if this is an AutoKey bug, or if I'm missing some knowledge I should know about encoding/preparing strings in python. Please help. Twitter Bootstrap Collapsible Navbar Duplicating

How to convert from wav or mp3 to raw PCM [on hold]

I am developing a game using Cocos2d-X and Marmalade SDK, and I am looking for any recommendations of programs that can convert audio files in mp3 or wav format to raw PCM 16 format. The problem is that I am using the SimpleAudioEngine class to play sounds in my game and in Marmalade it only supports files that are encoded as raw PCM 16. Unfortunately I've been having a very hard time finding a program that can do this type of conversion, so I am looking for a recommendation.
